Hotel Casa Fuster Hotel

his modernist building is located at the beginning of Paseo de Gracia. It already impacts when you arrive and with the constant smile of those who welcome us. We travel long and arrive very early. And luckily, we were given the room just upstairs. A room overlooking this avenue and very comfortable: an anteroom with sofa (where they located an extra bed) and the sector of the king bed. Some paint details that could be improved but nothing serious. The bathroom deserves its own lines: impressive! Comfortable, with its own bathtub with hydromassage, a large shower compartmentalized. The complete and perfect breakfasts in their execution. It's true: the breakfast room can be dark, because it's in the basement, but it has a special aura and charm. The reception with its grand piano invites you to relax.

I stayed here with my husband for 5 nights while visiting Barcelona so that he could attend a business meeting. We were greeted at the door as we arrived and the doorman took our bags. We were offered cold water in the lobby while checking in. We arrived early in the day, but they did have a room available, so we were able to go to the room immediately. Check in went quickly and smoothly. The room was on the first floor. It was very clean and decorated nicely. We had a king size bed, which was comfortable. Housekeeping services were excellent everyday. They brought chocolate covered strawberries our first night. Other nights they left a small box with 2 pieces of chocolate. We also were given 2 bottles of water every night. That was very helpful for when we were walking around during the day. My husband used the treadmill a couple of times while we were there. It's a very small gym. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning. They served so many wonderful options, including hot and cold foods. We ate dinner twice at the rooftop restaurant and bar. I believe we spent every evening there having drinks to end our day. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. There were a few things that made me give it a 4 instead of a 5. It is in the city and there is traffic noise. There is also a school located next to it, which means more noise. The hair dryer in our room was attached to the inside of a drawer. I'm not a tall person, but it was still challenging to dry my hair. These are not huge issues. I would still recommend the hotel. It was very clean, comfortable, service was excellent from everyone that we encountered.

Stayed at the Casa Fuster for a week. Its in a great location, close to but not in the main tourist areas, so for example, Las Ramblas, the Sagrada Familia, the Marina, the Cable Car etc. are all in easy walking distance. The Rooms are luxurious with large, very comfortable beds and all the amenities you would expect in a Premium Hotel. The Rooms on the street sides can be noisy due to passing traffic, so make sure you ask for a Room on one of the other sides. Breakfast was fantastic with a wide range of hot and cold food, juices and even fizz if you want it! Service was good with omelettes cooked to order. Only drawback is that Breakfast is served in the basement which has the look, feel and atmosphere of a 1970's night club with colored glass windows, low lighting and large speakers. If you stay make sure you eat in the Galaxo Restaurant. This is fine dining at its best with excellent quality food, exemplary and attentive service and a great atmosphere. The Reception Staff are exceptionally helpful. Nothing is too much trouble from advising on local attractions, through obtaining tickets to running around the local streets searching for a taxi to take us to the airport on our leaving day. The highlight, literally, is the Roof Bar and Terrace. Here you can drink, eat and relax in very comfortable surroundings with waiter service and enjoy the panoramic views down to the marina, over the city roof tops and of the local hills. Overall a brilliant premium Hotel, not cheap, but worth every penny!
