This isn't a luxury hotel; it's a small hotel catering mainly for budget conscious tourists and in that light, it ticks all the boxes. The hotel is very well located in a small side street, smack bang in the middle of the old town, close to all the tourist attractions, restaurants & bars. No need for public transport, taxis, everything is within easy walking distance. The hotel is a comfortable 20/25 minute walk (under Bologna's famous porticoes from Bologna Centrale Railway station, or a short taxi ride if you have luggage. Reception staff are English speaking, friendly and more than willing to give advice on local tourist attractions and where not to go. Hotel rooms are spread over three levels. Our room was situated on the 3rd level; it was a good size, ensuite, air-conditioning, very clean, comfortable bed (extra pillows), TV Italian stations only. A small lounge, bar is situated on the first floor near reception/breakfast room. A continental breakfast is included in the room tariff. Certainly well worth considering if you are looking for a convenient, affordable base for your visit to Bologna.
