Location a bit too quiet, esp. during August and metro a few blocks walk. First nite could only find Indian restaurants open. While room & bathroom were large for Paris standards, the bathroom had not even one hook for a towel or shelf to put even a toothbrush. Small television and volume didn't work. Hotel still under renovation so hopefully these things will improve.

If you don't smoke, don't stay here. The entire room smelled like a big wet ashtray to the point that it was almost sickening. The bathroom was literally a renovated closet and the toilet was set on an angle so that in order to close the door you had to sit sideways on it. The room itself was very clean and the staff were friendly--no complaints in that dept, but the courtyard was loud at night. We have stayed in many 2 star hotels and, despite the good price and decent breakfast, this place was rather disappointing.
