Murrells Inlet is an unincorporated residential township located in Georgetown County of South Carolina, United States. This quaint area is part of the popular Grand Strand beachfront and has transformed from a fishing village into an alluring tourist attraction. The Murrells Inlet area consists of more than 19 square kilometres of inclusive land and water.
The most prominent point of interest is the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk, a nearly kilometre-long boardwalk equipped with sightseeing opportunities and many delightful restaurants. The history of Murrells Inlet dates back to the ancient Waccamaw people based on associated archaeological findings. The destination is home to many landmarks listed on the National Register of Historic Places such as Murrells Inlet Historic District and Richmond Hill.
