Took some time to check in with one woman working the desk, they did allow us to check in about 11am so couldn't really complain.. Pool is so small and they have few misters... cabana's available for rent... didn't like that either... Night we were there power outage turned off all phones, internet and a/c... so that was a bummer for sure... We liked the pool across at the Spa Hotel much better... more of a party there... even on a Monday.. But hotel rooma are very nice and beds are great.. overall I'd say an 7.5 out of 10...

Clean. Mandatory valet parking and only 6 TV channels. Mandatory valet parking ($20). Also, the television only had about 6 channels. I would not stay there again.

Recent stay starting on a Sunday, friendly greeting from valet to front desk. Felt like staff really wanted to us to have a great time. Normal bumps in the road with getting rooms ready, but the front desk staff seem well equipped to tackle any issue. Small glitch with in room a/c, however, staff made it their priority to change our room and send a bell boy to help make the move easier. I would recommend this hotel to couples or singles. Pay the extra for a superior room to guarantee a view on an upper floor. room well appointed, not sure how recent the updates were, but the place shows nice.

We arrived at the hotel at 1:30 pm and the woman at the reservation desk did not greet us. She merely asked if we were checking in. When we said that we were she very rudely told us that check in was at 3:00 pm and she walked away!! The other girl at the desk "graciously" offered to check our bags for us. When we did check in it took 20 minutes to do so (I think this is too long). Our room was facing the street and although it was very nicely appointed, the noise levels were unreal in this place. People were coming and going all night, slamming doors, partiers on the streets, etc. (some sort of pride event was going on across the street) We asked to have our room moved to the interior of the hotel, which they did. After being in our new room for 15 minutes, someone tried to open our door. Turns out the people at the reservation desk had given our room out to another person too! We then received a VERY rude call from their security demanding that we immediately vacate the room as we were suppose to have checked out at noon. We then informed the gentleman that this was not correct and he hung up on us. When we called the front desk for assistance, the woman did apologize but it didn't help at that point. When we stay in a hotel we want very little interaction with their staff.....thus it is a vacation....and we felt that they were an obtrusive presence on our trip. By the way, the pool was TINY so don't expect anything great! Parking was ridiculous with a mandatory valet at 18/day. Location was great.

Hotel Zoso was fun from the moment my daughter and I got out of our rental car. The valet welcomed us with a big grin. Although we had arrived before the "official" check-in time, our room was ready and we were able to settle in immediately. The front desk clerk was charming. Our room was spacious, and beautifully decorated. We LOVED the artwork on the walls. We had a balcony overlooking the pool, with a spectacular view of Mt. San Jacinto, and into Tahquitz Canyon. The slate-tiled bathroom was plenty big enough for two females, and all the accoutrements we brought along. My daughter is now hooked on the Tarocco products. My ONLY gripe would be that the shower head didn't provide a very powerful spray. On our first night we decided to drop in on the drag cabaret being performed in the main lobby. Many tables had been reserved, and there were no empty seats available. We stepped into the lobby restaurant to get a light dinner, and the staff pulled a table directly into the entrance so we would have an unobstructed view of the show. They treated us like royalty. I highly recommend the "C" Salad -- fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. We spent time at the pool on three different days, and it was always clean and sparkling. The provided towels were large and plentiful. The misters were great, as were the cabanas. Hotel Zoso is right in the "big middle of everything" in downtown Palm Springs. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to go (Plaza Theater, Spa/Casino, shopping, dining) and the staff were able to recommend several activities and services that were great! The Thursday street fair was fantastic! I'd definitely go back to the Hotel Zoso!

If you wish to sleep late, request a room with a view to the west. East side windows did not have light blocking shades or curtains.Had no trouble finding curbside parking so we did not have to pay 18/day for valet parking. Area was safe and comfortable.Very quiet - would stay again.

The hotel staff was almost uniformly excellent -- friendly, helpful, going out of their way to make you feel welcome. Our biggest objection was the loud, tatooed weekend crowd filling up a small, dirty pool. Otherwise, the hotel itself and the location were excellent.

Apples were available every day. The pool was way too small! It was a nice hotel. The pool was way too small - they need an additional pool. The hair dryer in the room did not work and it took nearly an hour to get a new hair dryer. The location is convenient - walking distance to downtown Palm Springs and many restaurants located around it.

I just got back from a week at the Hotel Zoso. Having stayed there last January, I was looking forward to my visit. I must say that the hotel rooms are large and cozy. However, the staff is impossible. It is probably THE worst managed hotel I have ever stayed at. To start things off, I was kept waiting outside the airport for 1 hour. I called the hotel 4 times in that period to ask where the van was. I kept being told that it was on it's way which was a lie. The hotel is a 7 minute drive to the airport. That evening I needed a ride to an event. Despite the fact that the hotel says that they offer free van service within a reasonable area, I had to plead with the bellman to give me a ride. He kept saying that he could get fired for giving me a ride. Yet another lie. The manager tried to appease me by saying he'd give me an upgraded room. I came to find out that he was not telling the truth. I was given the exact same room I had the year before. So much for upgrading. Housekeeping was erractic in the cleaning of my room. They never replaced the complimentary bottles of hand cream and shampoo and they left dirty wash cloths in the shower. The day I left I asked if I could get a ride to the airport at 10:15. The front desk said they only make stops at 10 and 10:30 even though there was no one else waiting for a ride and it is only a 7 minute drive. How inflexible can one get. The kicker was that the hotel was practically empty. Hotel Zoso could care less about their customers.

After much consideration on where to stay in Palm Springs, settled on Hotel Zoso, since it was not far from my parents house where we were celebrating Thanksgiving. Tried to check in at 2:00 PM and was told our room was not ready and not other rooms with 2 queen beds were available, we have 2 kids. We were told to come back later. Being that we couldn't come back until after 8:00PM, I was assured our 2 queen bed pool view room would be ready. Well come 8:30 PM, checking in, no room was available with 2 beds. After much discussion and go around with the manager, we were given 2 adjoining rooms. They were very nice rooms, but not really with the pool view, but close enough. At about 12:30AM, someone tried to enter our room when we were sleeping saying it was a hotel employee. That was weird and disturbing. Overall the hotel is very nice, but the front desk seems to be poorly run. I even called the travel agency months in advance to insure a room with 2 queens beds since there are 4 of us. Due to the issues we experienced, we will not stay here again. And by the way a Mojito at the pool is 11.00! Good luck!

Can't really complain. This hotel was beautiful. Super modern, smoke free, and the staff was great. We booked on Orbitz for an awesome price, and when I got there requested a king bed instead of the two queens and they were happy to accommodate. We were a bit disappointed that there was no mini fridge, but that was easily remedied with the ice bucket. Even the staff at the pool side was extremely friendly, and I was pleasantly surprised that the drinks there weren't outrageous. On Saturdays they have a DJ at the pool and he was very good but the pool is so small that there's absolutely no place to swim. You're lucky if you can find a spot around the edge of the pool to hang out in the 120 degree summer months. I was kinda surprised that such a beautiful modern hotel had such a sub par pool. I was happy that the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were kept very clean. Overall, for the price it was more than I could've hoped for.

My partner and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary there and had a wonderful time. The superior king room felt like a resort. The hotel's closeness to downtown made it a great chance to walk. A MUST is the daily happy hour of cheap (but good) eats and good drinks. Only downside is that the walls are paper thin (able to hear what the next room was watching on tv all the time) and the parking fee of $20/day. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice hotel. Drove up and was greeted by valet and bell boy. Staff was really nice and helpful. Everyone was very talkative and outgoing. Checked in quickly. Bell boy showed up around. Room was very luxurious. This hotel is dead center of downtown Palm Springs. If you can bear the heat then its just a 5 minute walk to restaurants and shopping. Would definitely stay here next time I'm in town. Later.

pool was over crouded, the hotel charged $20.00 a day for parking and for a resort fee, what resort? The pool was unusable. I think at one time this was a beautiful and classy hotel, the clients have changed

Had a great rapore with the hotel staff. Ordered fridge I had to go in search of someone to help me thenI got immediately. Except for one incident we were very satisfied and impressed with the hotel and the staff.I will return in some future trip to palm springs.

Noisy rooms, next to idling deisle trucks all night long, when we made a comment the following day they said they knew about it and could give us another room. The new room was in the old hotel looked shabby and had a musty smell, unsafe buckeled carpeting in the halways. Slow house keeping service, rooms were not made untill after 4:00 pm, they provided one bath towel for two people. Broken TV, remote did not work, when it was fixed we did enjoy some movies. One little cup of coffee in the room when I went down to get more they asked me if I was paying cash or charging it to my room .
