I was lucky to get a hotel in Odessa during the peak season. At first, I was cautious about a small room of about 6 square meters only with no windows but the room proved very comfortable and, well, I don't need the windows at night, anyway. The room has climate control and the air quality was excellent, though air in Odessa is generally very dirty.I've been to Odessa many times and stayed in various hotels. Though the Zirka hotel is not a fancy hotel, it has all the basic amenities at a very reasonable price. Zirka is new, has round-the-clock hot water (not a given thing in Ukraine), and is centrally located. I would stay in a more expensive place for a business trip (I workd for a large Russian company), but for vacation Zirka proved a decent place.
