Yosemite View Lodge

Located on the border of Yosemite National Park, the Lodge is alongside a stretch of the Merced River that cascades into rapids much of the year. Yosemite View Lodge offers rooms with patios and balconies with great river views. If you were staying any closer to Yosemite National Park, you would be in the park! Yosemite View Lodge is the closest accommodation outside the park to any of Yosemite's 4 entrances... and downstream on the Merced River, guests enjoy fishing, kayaking, rafting, real gold panning, and unparalleled beauty.

This comfortable, well-equipped lodge is located in El Portal overlooking the Merced River. It is just 4 km from the western entrance to the famous Yosemite National Park.

Renovated in 2004, the hotel consists of several buildings with a total of 278 rooms. The main building houses the reception area with a safe, cloakroom, newspaper stand and lift access. Further facilities here include a cosy bar and an inviting restaurant. Parking facilities for those arriving by car rounds up the offerings.

The tastefully fitted rooms all come with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, and satellite/ cable TV. There is also a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave oven, and tea and coffee making facilities. The air conditioning and heating are individually regulated, and all rooms also features either a balcony or terrace.

Depending on the season, guests can make use of the two outdoor swimming pools. The hotel also has a small indoor swimming pool with several Jacuzzis.

Breakfast is served every morning. Dinner can be taken as a set menu.
