What transport is available to get around?

East Meon is served by Stagecoach bus company and also Brijan Tours which run from Petersfield to Winchester. These only run one bus an hour and the service stops at about six pm. There are no buses on Sundays or Bank Holidays.

The nearest train station is Petersfield which is four miles away. This train route runs from Portsmouth Harbour to London Waterloo. This service is provided by South West Trains.
There is not a taxi service in the village, taxis are available from Petersfield but may be quite expensive.

Do you provide parking?

We have a car park on-site for guests and residents.

What are your breakfast options?

We offer breakfast included in the price of the rooms. We offer cereals, toast and preserves and a selection of cooked breakfasts. We can offer cooked breakfasts for non-residents if agreed with the chef.

What can I do nearby?

We are along the South Downs Way and we attract many hikers, ramblers and walkers. We are also near to the Sustainability Centre which offers courses on Eco-living. A couple of miles up the road is Meon Springs which offers fishing and shooting breaks.

Within a half hour drive is the city of Portsmouth which holds the Historic Dockyard and Gun Wharf Quays for quayside dining and shopping. In the other direction is the Medieval town of Winchester with many historic attractions.
