The hotel is located in a great spot right off of North Scottsdale Road. We didn't stay on the grounds too much since we did a great deal of sightseeing. There were several very nice pools on the property, unfortunatly there was a heat advisory while we were there and were only able to take advantage of them in the early morning and evening hours. The biggest drawback was the noise from the housekeeping carts early in the morning. Being early risers this did not effect us too much but I can see where this could be a problem. The staff were all beyond pleasant and were available to answer any questions and assist us in any way. We had a late flight and they were kind enough to extend our checkout time by 3 hours, picked up our baggage in the room and stored it for us for another 5 hours all without any additional charges. This is the third time we've been in Arizona and although not as scenic as past locations with a much smaller room this hotel suited our needs.

Social areas were very nice. Restaurant/bar staff was very friendly. First room had dirty bathroom tiles. The furniture was scratched, mismatched and falling apart. Had to request a room change. The first room had dirty floor and bath wall tiles, and the shower curtain was old and torn. The furniture was scratched, mismatched and drawers were falling apart. The second room was clean and newer. Kitchen lacked towels and pans.

My wife and I stayed here from March 28,2009 thru April 5,2009 and had a wondeful time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaraunt was very clean and the food was very good. Our stay here was excelent!!! We went to get away for a relaxing vacation and that is exactly what we had. Every thing was very clean and pleasant. We took a day trip up to Sedona from here and it was close enough so that when we arived at Sedona we had plenty of time to enjoy ourselves. We would highly recomend staying here. I have already started making plans with some friends of mine to stay here in January for the Barrett Jackson Auction which is just down the road from here.

poor house keeping...did not refill our shampoo, soap, etc. Small rooms. I did get a great deal. Definitely not a "4 star" hotel. More like a 3 star.

Close to our son's house; pool and Jacuzzi was nice. Toilet in room ran sporadically. Service in restaurant could be improved; very slow waitstaff; items on breakfast bar were substandard; room service took too long to deliver; the significant exception was the waiter we had for dinner the first night; I was sick with a migrane and stomach upset; he suggested a drink of club soda and bitters that made me feel much better. The food we ordered off the menu was excellent.

Arrived around 9pm. The hotel was overbooked for the type of room we had reserved. They upgraded us to a larger room at no additional charge. Very nice hotel/resort. Would stay here again.

We first got there and found that the room we were given was not what we booked. They were happy to upgrade us to a suite for making that mistake. Also, we needed a late check out and they made sure to do that for us

Private suite with no noise. Not a very impressive lobby. This hotel has mid to upper quality suites with kitchenette, and there are plenty of swimming pools. There's a reasonable quality restaurant but I found the service slow. The food was good.

The staff at the resort were amazing! They were some of the nicest and most genuine people I have ever come across. There were a few hiccups with housekeeping and the front desk staff did everything they could to fix the situation. I would recommended this resort to anyone!

For the purpose of having a place to sleep and bathe, the resort was perfect. I was there for a conference and spent little time actually on site. The room was neat but not necessarily clean. The comforter had visible spots that could have been easily cleaned in the wash. Some broken glass was not totally cleaned from the bathroom floor after note was left informing the housekeeping staff. The resort is only within walking distance of another resort so I would highly recommend renting a car to be able to experience a variety of dining, shopping and attractions because from what I could tell there was not much going on at the resort.

This is an excellent hotel that you can trust is going to be adequate for whatever your needs might be. There are no complaints. It's not a place you worry about as you get closer. It is A+. It is convenient to Scottsdale. If you need to be traveling to the western edge of Phoenix, then it would not be convenient for you. But, trust me, it's a fine hotel.

My husband and I chose the Xona Resort because the website pictures were very nice. Unfortunately, the room that we stayed in was anything but nice. The bed cover had multiple stains, the pillow shams were so dusty that when I picked one up I had an allergy attack from all of the dust that went into the air. The bathroom floor was exteemely dirty as well as the bathroom cabinet...it looked like toothpaste had dripped all over the front of the cabinet. The seal between the sink and the counter top was ragged and looked disgusting. The doors had black finger print marks and some of the walls had unknown substances on them. The best part of our stay was the very courteous young man at the front desk when we checked out. His name was [...] and we would like to thank him for his professional and friendly manner.

This hotel was awesome. It was definitely worth staying there. The staff was friendly and helpful. Since there's more than a few pools, they never got too busy. The standard room is on the small side but it had a patio that had a pool side view.
