After the recent renovations, the X-Tra Hotel Zurich became a part of an entertainment complex which includes an indoor discotheque. The main shopping center of the city of Zurich is located 15 minutes away from this Zurich hotel.
The main station of Zurich is only a kilometer from the X-Tra Hotel Zurich, while the airport is ten kilometers away.
There are 49 guestrooms in the X-Tra Hotel Zurich, all of which are decorated in a variety of bright primary colors and accented with contemporary paintings. The guestrooms are all outfitted with modern amenities to help ensure guests have a comfortable stay.
The 3 star X-Tra Hotel Zurich was originally erected in 1935 as a convention center. The hotel was created in the Bauhaus style and features a boxy-looking façade. The on-site restaurant serves delicious a la carte cuisine for guests to enjoy, and the bar provides an ideal setting for relaxing with a drink at the end of the day. There’s also a gymnasium on site, and conference facilities to assist business travelers.

This is a great place to do business or unwind. I highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Madrid.

Great location and inexpensive for Zurich. Very smoky environment. Nice for a short stop-through, but a bit noisy and very smoky. Not the greatest for children, but close walk to main town, restaurants, etc.

We had a nice stay at this Hotel. The smoking room was clean, maybe a refurbishment is necessary. The hotel is very close to bars, clubs and there is also a club in the hotel. But no problem with noise. Would like to come back!

Hotel xtra best in the busy downtown area with all amenities in walkable distance there was absolutely no hassles locating INDIAN RESTARAUNTS. shopping complex tourist centre was easily approchable . rooms were very neat & spacious & constant hot & cold water was very much the needed facility . we were worried for taxi fascility , but there did not arise need .

It is a good place to stay.The free internet they provided near reception is a great relief when you need to pay 5.0 CHF for 30.0 minutes otherwise.

Stayed recently in non-smoking room, asked for quiet room and my room really was quiet. Breakfast good, location handy with tram stop outside, free internet terminal in lobby. Only drawback was smoking in the lobby and the bar. Very good value.

Apart from a bit of street noise at night, this hotel was great. Big comfy bed, clean ensuite. Breakfast was great, very filling. The restaurant in the garden attached was fantastic. A little oasis in the city, very pretty, and food and service was fantastic. Great location, about 3 blocks from main train station, an easy walk to shops etc. Pharmacy, fruit shop, and pizzeria just across the road. Would definitely recommend.

Easy access to the rail station and the airport. It was a stopover, but would definitely stay there again in the cooler part of the year as there is no air conditioning.We were very pleased with our room, services, and staff.

The hotel was ok, a little noise could be observed from the nightclub in the same building, but since my room was located at the third floor it was not a big problem. The location of the hotel was very good, quite near several interesting areas, among them the old town. The staff was very service-minded. I had a nice stay!

Location is quite ideal, within walking distance to Bahnhorf shopping and tram station at door step. The only concern is the noise from the Pub downstairs which ends quite late.

Very unhelpful at front desk. Said they didn't have our booking and didn't want to work out why or help us. Finally worked out it was booked under my partners name, after sending us to a hotel up the road in the rain. They were then helpful.
