Beautiful grounds, well maintained, quiet, beautiful room. No can opener, small kitchen which needed up-dating, need flat screen TV's. We loved the bright colors of the room. The staff was very friendly. The resort was very clean. I did miss getting a new pack of coffee each day. We loved the free wireless access.

Loved our stay here. Very spacious 1 B.R. unit, clean, overlooked golf course, large lanai, full kitchen with everything we needed, laundry inside unit was great since we pack light and need to do laundry. Need a rental car as this is a little ways away from main shopping/entertainment area. There is a shopping center within walking distance for food, etc.

Great place to stay only problem is that you park in a parking garage and walk to your building, nice walk but can be far. They have a shuttle service you need to call ahead.

So much space. Hot tub was not hot. It was a great hotel! we were able to cook a great meal, it was close to everything and it was extremely comfortable. clean and roomy!

Loved the full kitchen. Great space for a family of four with pull out couch. Nice place for golfers. Pretty property. No beach view. Check-in too late and Check-out too early which makes it not too good for a one night stay. Couldn't get a late check-out. This is settled in a nice area. It is settled on a golf course and the grounds are well landscaped and well groomed. The rooms are brightly decorated almost to the extreme, but they are pleasant and colorful. The back of the room has large windows opening up to the lanai making it bright in the room. Every set of rooms is in a circular courtyard formation with fountains in the center making them private. Our room had a view of another fountain from the lanai too. The pool was clean and heated making it comfortable on cool Kona nights, and the hot tub was relaxing. The kitchen was full sized, but I didn't see how well equipped it was as we didn't use it. My only complaint is that the 4:00 pm check-in and 10:00 am check-out makes for a short time in the hotel on a one night stay.

This is our third stay at this resort. We wanted privacy, the ability to prepare meals and a large enough facility to spread out with our family. It is spacious and relaxed. No fantasy pool or on-site dining but we were happy here.

2 levels, huge kitchen, well maintained. Too far from the beach / downtown. Well maintained facilities, multiple pools / tennis courts. Try to arrive during daylight hours to locate your room, as they are spread out.

The room is very spacious and inviting with all functions including laundry. The resort is not beside the beach. The resort is very clean, well-maintained, and inviting. The staff is friendly and helpful. I had a great time there.

The comfort and spaciousness of the rooms. The room cleaning staffwas very disappointing. We had to call daily with problems. The location is good. It is quite and serene. Plenty of pools on the property. Underground parking. Informative welcome breakfast.

The units are huge, bright and clean. The grounds are very well maintained and the staff is very friendly and helpful. This hotel is a bit of a drive from restaurants and shops. The units are very large, brightly colored, and clean. The kitchens are well equipped, and there are several pools, so none are too busy. This would be great place for families. Also, the grounds are very well maintained and the staff is very friendly and helpful.While it is about a 10-15 minute drive from most of the restaurants, shops, and beaches, it's nice to be away from it all too.

Tropical decor, very clean, two TVs, friendly staff, good layout, air conditioned, no insects or pests. Parking is unusual as you have to haul your stuff from a garage. Have to pay for Wi-Fi. We enjoyed our stay here. We have two young children and they had a great time as well. It was peaceful, well maintained, and had quality staff. I would recommend this place to anybody traveling to Kailua Kona. They had everything you needed, 8 pools and hot tubs, barbecue areas, and peaceful surroundings.

Generously large rooms. Excellent amenities. Friendly staff. No nightlife. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and the amenities offered (full kitchen, outdoor BBQ, multiple pools and patios). Felt like a real home away from home. Nearby golf (Vista - Golf Mag recommended) and snorkel launch points (Fair Wind). No easy beach access within walking distance. Friendly staff. Owned by Shell Vacations (time shares), very high standards. Stay in city if looking for nightlife.

Room was very spacious and well-kept. No restaurant within walking distance. This was a wonderful, well-kept community; the room we got was beautifully maintained and stocked with everything we needed. Our large balcony overlooked one of several swimming pools and there was a brand new gas grill just downstairs. The one-bedroom unit featured one and a half baths, an enormous living/dining room, a full kitchen with new appliances, a large bedroom with a feather-top king sized bed and a huge balcony with lounge chairs and a patio table set. The complex is right next to the Kona Country Club golf course and a supermarket is only 5 minutes away. A 10 minute drive north takes you into Kona and a short drive south takes you to a place where you can rent kayaks and paddle over to Captain Cook. We will definitely stay here when we visit Kona in the future.

We loved the location and the price! The first unit we were taken to was not clean so we were moved to another one. The Halua Resort is conveniently located. There is a great shopping center nearby, with moderately priced restaurants and supermarkets, which is great since the villas at this resort come with kitchens. So, it makes it easy to stock up on groceries and save on meals. The grounds are very well kept and the resort is very family-friendly.

The hotel was very roomy and clean and the landscape was beautiful. The only thing that was a drawback was the walk from the parking area to the room. Overall, it was a very good experience. The rooms were nice roomy and were clean and comfortable. The general area where it was located was very pretty, ocean within viewing and beautiful golf courses surrounding the place. The landscape was very pretty and well kept. Would recommend to anyone.
