Very dishonest staff member, had something stolen from my room, would not stay there again...

We stayed at the Wyndham Nashville for one night on our way to the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN. It was better than we could have imagined--the food was great, the place was beautiful, even the soap smelled really good.

Great location and staff. Early checkout in my opinion. Great experience and will recommend to friends.

The hotel lobby is spectacular --a great place to just sit and enjoy. The room decor was beautiful. Would love to go back as often as possible. The only thing lacking was FoxNews.

The staff and atmospere here made me feel like a queen! Our plane arrived late so we checked in at 2am, we were greeted by name with smiles. Everyone there was just so polite and charming. We had dinner in the hotel restaraunt, it was so classy and the food was delicous. The recent renovations left the whole place amazing. I felt like we were staying in an historic castle, princess for a day (or two). We were close enough to downtown, that we walked to the Ryman. The room service was prompt and great! It was an amazing trip.

Loved Nashville -- hotel located fine for walking and it is a gorgeous building, but everything costs extra. Could easily stay at another hotel in the area for much less (at least equal to a dinner out for two) and get all the same amenities (same size room) and more (like a continental breakfast) and just walk over and look at the lobby or maybe even eat in the restaurant without staying there. Fitness center was very small, elliptical machine had something wrong with it. Little things like no mirror in the bedroom area (only in the bathroom) so if someone else was in the bathroom had to wait to be able to use the mirror. While it is a beautiful place, I was surprised that there wasn't a flyer telling (or showing) how it was used as a railroad station. The hotel experience just did not live up to the building even though people tried very hard to be friendly. It's like they haven't thought through everything yet.

Fantastic decor and building. No pool. Absolutely beautiful hotel! The building was stunning and the appointments were perfect.

We stayed at Union Station to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel was beautiful, as was our room. The bed was extremely comfortable (pillowtop mattress and down pillows/comforter). The 18 foot ceiling also added a lot to the room. Our bathroom was on the small side, but was still quite nice; very spa-like. Our room did face the train tracks, but we only heard trains pass by once or at most, twice a night. The trains were not a problem for us. Actually, our A/C was much louder than the trains, drowning out most of the noise. The most bothersome noise for us was not the trains, but folks in the lobby. A handful of the rooms on the fifth floor open above the lobby. We had one of these rooms and I enjoyed opening my door to the beautiful, spacious lobby instead of some tight hallway; but we could hear voices from the lobby every now and then. The on-site restaurant is excellent. It is fine dining with a fine price, but it is the same quality food one would expect in a fine dining restaurant outside of a hotel. However, I will say that we found the breakfast to be a bit expensive and only ate it once at the hotel. Our only real complaint is the distance to downtown actractions. Hotel is on tenth avenue and everything is located between first and fourth avenues. Walking would not be bad in Spring or Fall, but in 95 degree summer heat (plus humidity), it was a sweaty chore. There are plenty of public parking lots in downtown that charge fees, but after paying $ a day for hotel parking, we did not want to pay for more. An overall wonderful experience and a great hotel.

I'm really not sure why everyone focuses on the train noise because honestly, it was barely noticeable. Our room was very spacious and very luxurious. The bed was absolutely awesome; down mattress top, down comforter, tons of down pillows. The valets were absolutely great; very courteous, very helpful, and very friendly. Always greeted us by name everytime we returned from wherever we went. Always asked us if we needed directions to anywhere,... made recommendations on some of the best places to go or see. The staff was great and very friendly. The hotel was GLORIOUS inside. You can definitely tell they spent a lot of money renovating the place. I only wish we had more time to spend there, maybe eat at the restaurant/bar. If you want a getaway for a weekend in Nashville, this is definitely the place to go. Stay here and be pampered for a bit.

The hotel is wonderfully historic and absolutely beautiful. No garbage can in the room. Wonderful place to stay and within walking distance to the Ryman Auditorium and local bars with wonderful bands within walking distance to the hotel. Excellent great hotel! Very pleased with accommodations.

if you love stained glass windows, a comfy bed with down pillows and comforters, plasma tv, and alot of history....this is the place for you. this train station was the happening place in earlier years, where the town people ofnashville used to go to watch the affluent travel by train. truman capote was transportedto prison by way of the union station.yes trains go by....it is a restored train station and a piece of nashville history.the baths have been updated....big glass door and beautiful tile. the lobby is pretty witha fireplace and modern furniture.....against the old architecture of the building it isvery charming. fresh flowers were cut and in the lobby.....we didn't want to leave the comfy bed with at least 6 down pillows, duvet cover, anddown comforter....we loved our plasma tv.we will definitely go back again.

Historic aspects, beauty of exterior and public places. Paint in room needed freshening, room was quite small. Great historic hotel with wonderful lobby and interesting exterior. The room was very small with very high ceilings. Decor and furniture were outstanding but paint needed some freshening. Bathroom was elegant with marble, but no tub (big shower only). Very narrow hallways to get to room. Irritating that water in room was $6 a bottle.

Staff was great - from valet parking attendants to front desk. Very friendly, attentive, welcoming.Historic building being restored, and restoration looks great, though lobby is sparse - no furniture, and only one small restaurant/bar. Service was pretty slow at breakfast and food was so-so.Room was small and bed was small, but decor was well done. Bathroom had not been remodeled yet. Shower curtain was a bit moldy, drains a bit slow...Over all the stay was fine. Good location, price was OK. I'd stay there again.

Small room and the room was on the bottom floor with no view. It was nice to stay in a historic hotel. Maybe if we had a room on a higher level (than 1st floor) we would have enjoyed it more. It was just very small and we didn't expect it (along with no small ridge, etc.). Just not at all what I expected for the price.

Beautiful hotel needs work. The rooms are old and need MUCH updating. The train tracks are right next to the building. You get woken up early and late by the train engines going by. The room always had a bad odor and when the front desk was notified they never did anything about it. Not worth the price paid.

Historical building in a great location in a great city. No negative comments We enjoyed our stay, and will go back. Hopefully, the restaurant renovations will be completed.

the building itself was absolutely beautiful the staff never gave a straight answer, the food was mediocre, and the shuttle didn't run

Lobby was beautiful. Room was very dirty and noisy. I was surprised that the room was very very dirty. Many trash on the floor and worms in bathroom. They hadn't cleaned the room after previous guests used it. There was a someone's underwear in the bathroom! Besides, the room was very noisy (may be it was a sound of air conditioner). I couldn't sleep in the room. Sure, I asked the staff to change the room next day, but the staff made a disagreeable face!
