I booked this room over 6 months in advance for my daughters college graduation. I was traveling with 3 of my other children and booked a room through Orbitz suitable to fit the 4 of us comfortably. When I got to the hotel it was a zoo! It appeared that this hotel did not have adaquate staff to handle the crowd. The lobby was full of people due to a very large wedding and families checking-in for graduation weekend. When I finally got to the reservation desk I was told the only room they had available was a single queen size room. I explained that I made the reservations well in advance and that I had 3 children with me. Their solution was to give me cots for two of my children to sleep on. Being that I had no other choice I agreed. Room service brought only 1 cot and I was told it was against the fire code to have another. It was suggested that one of my children sleep on the floor on comforters and handed me two bags of linen. The cot was in deporable condition and when I asked for a replacement I was told that was their last one. We ended up taking the very worn out mattress off of the cot and putting it on the floor. Our air conditioning unit's front panel kept falling off, nor did it preform properly and was extremely loud. The service to rent movies was out of order and there was hair all over the ceiling in the bathroom. I was not at all satisfied with this hotel and do not recommend it.

Extremely friendly staff. Very clean and an excellent location. The pay per view movies didnot work for 3 nights. Centrally located in Pittsburgh's famed university district, this 3 star hotel provides easy access to historic sights, world renowned museums, ethnic restaurants and theaters. The hotel shuttle provides a convenient means to avail yourself of these as well as shopping at everything from bookstores to boutiques.

The lobby is very nice and the location is very convenient. Parking in their facility is $16 per day but there is safe, metered and unmetered street parking that I would recommend for the evenings. We were upgraded when our room key would not work. My husband tried to come in while I was asleep in the room at 1130pm and his key, and the four subsequent keys he was given, would not work. The manager's master key would not work. My husband was never asked to prove identification for our room; he was simply given a new key at 1130pm at night which was a little unnerving. Overall, the hotel was okay, but we will not select it again. If you cannot manage stairs, you will not be able to enter and exit the hotel lobby comfortably!

The entire staff (from the front desk to the bartender to the shuttle drivers were outstanding). The rooms were clean and just okay. The area around the hotel was at best average. One huge negative was the transportation services. The hotel shuttle system is not very timely. The drivers on the other hand were fantastic. I was over an hour late to my destination because of delays. In addition, the taxis in the city are not very good. Unless you are going to the airport, you might as well walk.

Although the hotel is non-smoking, it is clear that many guests smoke in the guest rooms. We switched out of a room that smelled like smoke and into a room that also smelled like smoke. The rooms were on the side of the hotel without windows. It took several calls to get an ionizer to clear the air. The hotel staff was apologetic. Aside from the smoking problem, the hotel is in a good location with plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

The bed was very comfortable. Nice hotel, friendly staff and the room was surprisingly modern. Great attention to the details. Would definitely stay there again.

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times in the past 6 weeks. We have stayed at other hotels in this area but the Wyndham represents the best value The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The restaurant and bar are on par w/ other hotels in the area. It is within walking distance of the U of Pittsburgh.

Location. Dirty room. The Hotel was OK. Coffee pot was broken, lights flickered constantly, Air Conditioner felt like it was blowing dirty air. Our sheets were dirty and the staff was a little stuck-up. The Valet parking drove my car pretty fast a few times and bottomed out (car was lowered and they would not let me park it myself even tho I explained the situation.) Also our bathtub had rings around it. I was not pleased this the cleanliness or the staff at all.

The hotel was okay. Things could have been spruced up a bit, like the holes in the shower curtain. I would think for * a night they could do something like that. The breakfast buffett was pricey but good and it would have been nice to know that the valet parking was not included either.

We were in Pittsburgh to go to a concert at the Peterson Events Center, the center is pretty close and within walking distance, however it's uphill all the way--drive or take the free shuttle offered by the hotel. That hill is called cardiac hill by locals. The men at the valet parking were very nice, same with the front desk. I was given a free upgrade to a suite and was very please with the suite. It had two separate rooms, two full baths and two televisions. One if the nicest rooms I've ever been in. It was clean and prepped fine. The outside noise (we were on the 2nd floor) was pretty loud but the hum from the a/c units drowned that out pretty well, I don't mind the white noise of an a/c unit myself. The breakfast at the hotel was a little pricey, but you had a large choice of foods and everything I tried was great, the waitress was exceptionally friendly. If we travel to Pittsburg again we'd stay here again without hesitation.

Comfortable rooms, great location, moderate rates, helpful staff. No swimming pool, hot tub, sauna. The hotel is a friendly facility with ample size, clean rooms and most necessary amenities. The staff is anxious to please. Whatever needs one may have, if they not at the hotel, then they would surely be available close by.

Staff, location, rooms. Dirty drinking glasses, we found people in our room when we opened the door. Very strange experience, but fixed easily. Nice staff, nice rooms, good location, shuttle.
