Average at best. No fridges in room, heard that you could pay extra to get a mini brought to you. Counter staff was very nice at check-in/check-out. But the "security" continually wandering the pool area to confiscate personal drinks and food, and pool toys was lo-class; it just screamed "we want to bilk you". ADDED NOTE TO HOTEL, Everyone at the pool that we talked to, or were in earshot of, said they would not come back based on the attittude at the pool alone. Resort fee added to room? I guess I missed where the resort was attached to the hotel.

Pool area. $10.00 resort fee. No towels at the pool. Took 40 minutes to get a towel. On previous stays this hotel was excellent. It's not anymore. Dirty, worn out hotel with rude staff.

This hotel owner needs to can the existing General Manager. The elevators were the filthiest I have ever seen and I travel every week. I was shocked at the disgusting filthy dirty carpet and that it stayed disgusting for the entire weekend. Dozens of staff members went in and out of those elevators and no one thought to clean them. Dump the GM and hire a staff trainer. There are 16 double rooms located in the inside corners of the U shaped building. If you book here, be sure you don't get one of those. On arrival, Robert upgraded us to a suite, what a dump! A 10' table with 12 chairs that should have been sent to the swap meet 20 years ago. The varnish on the table top was peeling off everywhere, it was ridiculous. The room was dark, dingy and just creepy. After looking at 3 rooms and having paid the upgrade for the pool view, we gave up and took a room with a view of the port o' cochere roof. The room was nice but the location was bad. We booked through Travel website and apparently the hotel knew it. We were given the three worst locations in the hotel as options for rooms. Nice grounds, great pool, just can the manager and front desk people and find someone that understands common areas in hotels should be clean. At least vacumed. If your in Palm Springs, stop by and check out the carpets in the three elevators. You will be shocked a "Wyndam" has such filth. Now that I am home, it's funny but while we were there, it was very dissapointing.

Exicited about visiting PS celebrating our engagment, we arrived Friday night after a motorcycle ride from San Diego. Hotel looked great from the outside but when we entered the lobby I noticed the carpet needed vacuuming. We checkin, the front desk clerk offered to upgrade because our "pool view" room that cost us an extra per night, had two double beds and a very poor location. We went into the upgraded suit and was shocked at the conference table that was shedding varnish from end to end and should have been taken to the swap meet years ago. Returning to the front desk, I asked for another room and after looking at three, we settled on a king room over looking the roof of the port o cochere. The room was nice, just not overlooking the pool like we were anticipating. The elevators, all three, had filthy carpet which stayed filthy all weekend long. Numerous staff used the elevators and none of them thought of vacuuming them or getting housekeeping to vacuum them. If you visit PS, you must go by to see if the carpets are still as filthy as they were on our trip. We were shocked at the filth. The property has great potential, just needs beds, furnishings and a good cleaning. The best part about our trip was the fact it was 110 degrees and we spent most of the day in their very nice pool.

When checking in I mentioned to the check in staff that it was my birthday that day and he gave us a complimentary room upgrade with a better view of the pool and the mountain, highly appreciated. The front of the hotel is very impressive, you get the feeling that you have arrived at a nice resort. The big lobby is very nice, the pool area is very relaxing and has enough shaded areas for hotel guests like me and my wife who avoid the intense desert sun to prevent long-term skin damage, but the rooms, although clean, are showing their age. The location of the hotel is close enough to walk to numerous excellent restaurants and boutiques of Palm Springs.

Front Desk staff, meeting the female agent after a 2 hour drive as the first point of contact was a joy. Agent made certain all our needs were met and handled everything with patience. We will return.

I am a business traveler who stays typically 35-45 nights a year in a hotel. This was my worst experience I have had period. From the moment I checked in, to the minute I left it was a disaster. I arrived and was given a smoking room on the ground floor. I was told take it or leave it even though I had prepaid. The next day the said they would move me. It didn't happen. I again was given a smoking room. My stay included Friday and Saturday night stays and the pool was closed both days for chemical additives? On a sold out weekend they closed the pool for maintenace? Staying at a Motel 6 would be an improvement.

I went with some friends (girl weekend). After we spent the day at the pool the city shut down the water. We had reservations at a restaurant and could not shower. We felt we should have been given a discount or at least some drink comps, dinner or discount on the room would have been nice. But they did nothing. Nice hotel, everyone was friendly, but did not budge when it came to pleasing the customer.

I attend many conventions and thought the convention menu and food quality was excellent. My food arrived hot when it was supposed to be and cold when it was supposed to be. Even my difficult husband was able to get the coffee he wanted at every meal.

AVOID THIS HOTEL! We "upgraded" to the junior suite. Our room with a view of the mountains was on the 2nd floor with a palm tree in front of the window. Wow, you never see those in PS! The room was the WORST. Absolutely filthy. Stained furniture, stained lampshades, drapes looked sloppy and neglected. For 200 a night you would THINK the place would at least be clean. Don't be fooled by their polished pictures and facade when you enter. You would do just as well at a Motel 6

Wyndham was a great value for the money. Our family had a great experience, particularly at the pool. Was a very family friendly hotel. Would definitely go back. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The room decor was old and the bed was hard. The public spaces were beautiful. The rooms were old and dark. The decor was terrible. The bed was hard, the pillows needed to be replaced. And the sheets were not good quality. The walls were thin and you could hear everything in the next room.

Went for a convention. The staff is rude and stupid. The rooms are overpriced. The hotel is seedy and needs a facelift. The Bar is very expensive and the drinks suck. They bring bad customer service to new heights. The night manager is actually mad because you are staying there. * in the morning for a cup of coffee. Pool is murky. Hotel looks great in pictires. Not so great when you get there
