KIDS COVE: Our Kid's Cove Children's Activity Center gives Mom and Dad a bit of free time and the little ones a chance to play and meet new friends. I loved the location. I stayed on the first floor where we could literally walk out our sliding glass door to be on the beach in about 10 steps. I loved the location of the beach even though it was not on the boardwalk. In fact, it was a little more private.

Falsely advertised as a three-star hotel. Despite its location on a beautiful stretch of beach, the hard-working staff can only do so much to compensate for this dilapidated, unsanitary throwback to the 1980s. Safety: Check out the PVC pipe rails on one of the hotel Tower balconies. Aesthetics: Enjoy the "electric" aquamarine/teal combo on your carpet/drapes, circa 1989... Sanitation: Hopefully your bed will be made without stains, or your bathroom walls littered with bits of tissue. Quality: Notice the floorboard/trim peeling off the walls in the rooms of Wyndham's "smoking" tower. As you approach the elevators, your attention is drawn to scuffed floors and dented walls. Are you in the service entrance to the kitchen, or the elevator to your $*/night room? You be the judge.

The view was the only good thing about Wyndham. Sheets were dirty, absolutely no water pressure, staff was inadequate. The Good: The hotel location is far from the main strip in Virginia Beach, plan on taking a cab (or the free shuttle offered) to get to the downtown area. The view from our room was perfect, unobstructed view of the ocean. The Bad: Sheets were dirty. No water pressure in the shower, about the same pressure of a drinking fountain. Staff was adamant about not being able to check in before 3 p.m., they could have been nicer or explained it in a better way.

This place used to be a Ramada and now it is a Wyndham. The bartender said that the changeover was limited to the purchase of a new sign. The property is old, dirty, and badly in need of a full renovation. There was sand in our bathtub, food on the floor in our room, holes in the towels, and turning on/off the television required that you reach behind the cabinet to access the electrical outlet - but the tv was lightyears ahead of the air conditioner which was horrendously loud and didn't blow cold air. The staff clearly complete the same rigorous training program in how to NOT be helpful - they were universally disinterested in doing anything to make your stay enjoyable, much less bearable. There was a major highpoint however: the restaurant. How this magficient jewel is housed within such a dive of a hotel is beyond me - but clearly the locals were in the know. I would return to eat at the restaurant - but I would then drive down the road a bit and spend the night somewhere else!

We liked the stay, fantastic location. Dont need to carry beach umberallas, hire for 20 bucks for the whole day. This hotel is like a 5 minute drive from the boadwalk. Lots of activities for the kids.

The beach front room was fantastic with a great view. Very good location and a bit away from the crowds. Very good restaurant. The ocean front rooms have a great view. The hotel is not spectacular but has a lot of good things going for it. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Nice hotel for a romantic getaway, took my wife for her birthday/valentines day and had a great time. Service was good, t.v didnt work, called front desk and staff was at room in about 5 minutes and fixed it. Indoor pool and hot tub was nice,fitness center was good too.. Great price for stay in Feb. Hotel was secluded away from boardwalk,about a mile, and was nice for a little privacy. Only complaint is that the restaraunt is WAY to pricey, and food not worth that price.

The view of the beach was great and the Jacuzzi was romantic at night. The TV is out dated and the reception was horrible. Pool had leaves in it. The hotel had a great view of the beach. It was very romantic at night. I also enjoyed the Jacuzzi and the exercise room. Parking is free. They should keep the pool a little cleaner, upgrade the TVs to flat screen and get better reception. The ice machines were not working on several floors including my floor. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

We had a room on the 7th floor and during the night it became windy and you could hear the wind howling as if people were blowing through tubes. The level of wind noise was enough that it was difficult to sleep. We didn't ask for another room because we had already changed rooms because they tried to put us into a smoking room (yuk). The hotel is several miles from the boardwalk and restaurant area which since this was during the off season wasn't a problem, but it would be during the tourist season because you would have to rely on public transportation or hope that you could find a place to park legally. Another issue was that security was non-existent, anyone could enter the hotel from the parking garage or east tower doors without being observed. The hotel also automatically charges a room safe fee whether or not you use the safe.

I stayed with my family at Wyndham Hotel VB for a getaway vacation. Refrigerator was a bit dirty and did not cool enough, besides the freezer was full with ice. TV stand was some dusty and microwave seemed was not cleaned inside. NEVER AGAIN STAYED IN THIS HOTEL!!!

Super nice staff. Filthy room. It was probably nice at one time but really showed its age in the section where we stayed. Some areas looked much newer. Indoor pool was small with an attached hot tub. Would have been nice if it were cleaner. Hotel staff was great though the room itself was pretty gross, not cleaned well at all and I'm not usually one to notice unless it's really bad.

The hotel seemed very nice from outside, but the room was musty and carpet was dirty. Air conditioning unit made a lot of noise. Later switched to a king room and the refridgerator had something spilled in it and it smelled. About the only thing we enjoyed at the hotel was oceanfront view and the restaurant at the hotel on the ocean with live entertainment that was there one night. Overall, too far from boardwalk unless you want to drive everywhere and quality of hotel was not too good in our opinion. Parking was not too great either.

Staff was the great. Very attentive. Bathroom wasn't clean. I would recommend this hotel. Check in was fast I travel a lot and I can not get over how nice the staff was.

I stayed here for a friend's wedding and it was the worst experience ever! First off, checking was 4 hours late, they were rude to the whole wedding group, the bar staff was horrible on more than one occation!! And by that statement it doesn't even begin to describe how bad they treated us!! They didn't clean most of the the rooms the wedding guest were staying and they actually told us that they would bring up the supplies and we could clean our own room at 200 dollars a night!!!!! And to remedy the horrible treatment of the whole wedding group the bar did offer us free drinks after the reception was over... and we did get a free night; but it did not make up for three days of horrible treatment and rudeness! I WILL NEVER STAY at that hotel chain ever again! The only positive things about the hotel was the shuttle stuff and the snake bar staff!!!! This hotel is a mess and run away from it and don't turn back!!!

You do not have to leave the hotel grounds to have fun and enjoy yourself. More emphasis needs to be placed on how thorough the rooms are cleaned and wiped down. I strongly recommend this hotel. The staff is friendly, the location is superb and the ocean front view is spectacular. The restaurant inside of the hotel offers decent food for very reasonable prices. My only complaint is the cleanliness of my room. Sand and dirt were under the bed and the toilet had stains on the inside of the bowl.

At first you would think this hotel was the Ramada Hotel but it is teh Wydham! Front desk was great...she checked me in in less than 2 minutes. Restaurant was good even though we sat at the bar and had a drink before going out on for a walk on the beach. Nice find for a quick weekend getaway!

Nothing. Dirty room someone's glasses left beneath the bed skirt on the floor, scum in the tub. One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at and am surprised Priceline or whoever contracts for Priceline would have the nerve to rate this hotel a 3-star. It was barely a 2-star, if that! The staff was unfriendly and the room was very unclean and disgusting. It took 3 hours before I could get a shower upon check-in because the staff took that long to come and clean soap scum out the tub. We didn't sleep well and was so ready for the weekend to end as a result of the filthiness. I didn't even want to get between the sheets! How sad!

"The hotel was going thru some renovations, However my stay here was pleasant, room service was great they cleaned the rooms nice. The hotel food is expensive we ate outside the hotel. However I would stay here again!!!"
