Wyndham has the reputation as an upscale hotel. I stayed in a suite at this location last night and was disappointed. NEGATIVES: Parking lots far away. Premium Suite but it had no microwave or frig - wanted $10 each per night extra. NOISY AC - sounded like door opening and squealing - woke me up all night. Bathroom sink drains VERY slowly. fills with even modest use Internet stopped working several times - slow. Light bulbs out - poor lighting in bathroom - not enough light. Hair dryer in cloth bag behind the door - cheap and inconvenient. Huge standup shower, but tiny water head with lethargic flow. Lobby and outside upscale, but room furniture looks horrible and cheap - coffee table top so loose item would fall off if placed on it. TVs were nice High Definition models, but video was poor quality low definition signals - also no station guide anywhere in room. Need room key card to get to ice/vending machines - and the vending areas were only on 2 floors. POSITIVES: Hotel lobby and hallways nicely laid out. Staff pleasant. Has room service (didnt try it). Very soft bed with selection of pillows. 2 sinks in bathroom. Separate room for toilet in bathroom. I'm seriously trying, but I haven't got many pleasant things to say. Why make the lobby look super nice, but the rooms look like a cut rate low end motel?

Our first trip to this hotel a few weeks ago was perfect so we were really looking forward to another great stay. But within 5 minutes of checking in, our toilet overflowed through the whole bathroom and we had to stay while they fixed it... We were riding horses early the next morning so we put out the breakfast request on the doorknob the night before so we were sure to have breakfast nice and early the next morning. However although I checked the box for our breakfast to be delivered between 7-7:15..when I checked the doorknob our menu was still hanging there :( No one had collected it the night before like they were suppose to. So I called the front desk and they put me thru to room service who got a little snippy with me and said all they could do was send it up as soon as they could. It was an annoying way to start the day. So although I think the Wyndam is a beautiful hotel...on our next trip to Gettysburg..we'll be staying downtown

Very comfortable bed. Internet service terrible, almost impossible to get on line. After almost using a glass that was chipped along top I went to front desk. Manager seemed to exhibit no interest in my concerns and only said that she would tell housekeeping. Only took my room number after I asked her if she wanted it. There seems to be little regard for customer service, no apology or even interest in visitor's well being. Room while pleasant enough did not seem to be 3 1/2 stars that it was rated at.

I read the reviews before deciding on this hotel and thought it couldn't be as wonderful as the reviews stated, but believe me it is a wonderful hotel. My children were thrilled with the pool and I liked the whirlpool which was large enough for several people to enjoy. I'm usually looking forward to getting home to my bed, but the feather beds were so comfortable that I wasn't ready to leave. If you are planning a trip to Gettysburg or the surrounding area, this is definitely the place to stay! You will not want to leave.

The Wyndham Gettysburg Hotel is a new hotel and convention center. I found nothing faulty at the facility. It was well located for the sites in the area. I coujld see my US Navy ship's crew reunion using this facility.

Everything. 2 of the restaurants on the property were closed, and location was not in town. This was an upscale hotel, with a no veau design in in terms of the bathroom and amenities. Very eclectics, lovely place to stay.

We stayed a few days at the Wyndham and it was a very good experience. The room was nice and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful any time we had a question or request. It was probably a little more money than we wanted to spend, but it was worth it. It was a great location....only a couple of miles from town and right off the highway.

The Wyndham, was tastefully decorated at the entrance and in the rooms. Our room was large and beautifully decorated with the stars and the blue carpet, the beds were fabulous, just the right firmness, and clean. the closet was very ample in room, plus there was a personal safe for the valuables. The bathroom was large with lots of vanity room for my things, and the shower was huge. We were within one to two blocks of restaurants and shopping and just a few miles away from downtown. Overall we would give The Wyndham 100 +++ in comfort, decorations, and convenience.

It was beautiful. The staff was very helpful and happy. The restaurant breakfast buffet was to have an omelet station but it was unmanned. Beautiful atmosphere. Very nice people. Great beds with lots of pillows.

Arrived at our hotel after 8 hour trip from NC to PA. Check-in was fast and pleasant! Room was beautiful, EXCEPT for the anonymous pubic hairs all over the bathroom floor and shower stall. No, they did not belong to my family - and yes, I'm sure of this fact. Room service for breakfast and dinner was fast, but food was only ok, nothing terrific about it. Housekeeping staff did not speak English, so communicating with them to schedule a good time for room cleaning was impossible. Room did not get cleaned one day, so management received a visit from both myself and my fiancee to discuss the situation. Management listened and resolved issue within 5 minutes (literally!) and offered free breakfast or champagne or discount off the room to make up for the inconvenience. Overall, staff was good to work with and room was decent - would definitely stay there again.

The management and staff works hard to ensure you have not merely a pleasant, but also a pampered and extremely relaxing stay at the Wyndham. The location was convenient and centrally located and will obviously be a favored anchor lodging choice to a soon-to-be thriving business community just outside a popular American tourist location. Nicely done.

Very surface nice. New & clean, but felt like it was built quickly and some attention to detail was lacking. Staff seemed to have a bit of an attitude.

All rooms and common spaces were large and beautiful. Can hear the music from the ball room but the party did not go past 11:30 pm. This was one of the most enjoyable short stays I have ever experienced. I would, and already have highly recommended this hotel to my family and friends. I had a very comfortable sleep and would have loved to have stayed longer. Dinner was wonderful and is served late enough to accommodate late check in.

The hotel was spacious, clean and attractive. The lobby was a bit sterile; there were no special touches like coffee or cookies and fruit. The hotel was very lovely but did not special in extra touches. I felt like the experience was great for the price paid.

Beautiful clean, wonderful staff and excellent. No refrigerator in room. This hotel was very new and well kept. It has an excellent restaurant and accommodating friendly staff. Beautiful decor and convenient to downtown Gettysburg and highway.
