I read the reviews before deciding on this hotel and thought it couldn't be as wonderful as the reviews stated, but believe me it is a wonderful hotel. My children were thrilled with the pool and I liked the whirlpool which was large enough for several people to enjoy. I'm usually looking forward to getting home to my bed, but the feather beds were so comfortable that I wasn't ready to leave. If you are planning a trip to Gettysburg or the surrounding area, this is definitely the place to stay! You will not want to leave.

Great place to stay. This hotel is within 5 or 6 minutes of town. The hotel has great curb appeal. There are a couple of good places nearby to eat. There is a movie theater on site. There is plenty of parking. Everyone is very pleasant.

We stayed a few days at the Wyndham and it was a very good experience. The room was nice and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful any time we had a question or request. It was probably a little more money than we wanted to spend, but it was worth it. It was a great location....only a couple of miles from town and right off the highway.

Arrived at our hotel after 8 hour trip from NC to PA. Check-in was fast and pleasant! Room was beautiful, EXCEPT for the anonymous pubic hairs all over the bathroom floor and shower stall. No, they did not belong to my family - and yes, I'm sure of this fact. Room service for breakfast and dinner was fast, but food was only ok, nothing terrific about it. Housekeeping staff did not speak English, so communicating with them to schedule a good time for room cleaning was impossible. Room did not get cleaned one day, so management received a visit from both myself and my fiancee to discuss the situation. Management listened and resolved issue within 5 minutes (literally!) and offered free breakfast or champagne or discount off the room to make up for the inconvenience. Overall, staff was good to work with and room was decent - would definitely stay there again.

Opened in Sept of 2006, the Wyndham Gettysburg is a very pretty/nicely decorated hotel, with large, very clean well-appointed guest rooms, well-lit parking and--most importantly--a friendly and helpful staff. My husband and I spent the night there on the way back from taking my son to camp and were very pleased. After a following the recommendation of the front-desk clerk for dinner (the Pub, downtown--not a chain, full of locals and very casual), we slept great in their big fluffy bed made up with nice linens. The room remained very dark even though we slept late, thanks to very effective room darkening curtains. Even though it is close to Rt 15, the room was quiet. We were close to the elevator, and while awake, could faintly hear the chime whenever the elevator arrived, but the management said they have the elevator people working on a way to make it quieter--in the meantime, I would ask for a room away from the elevators. The indoor pool looked like fun for kids. We will stay there again.

I thought it was very nice. The rooms were decorated beautifully, as well as the lobby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was the only down fall. If you like to park your car and walk you will not be able to. Otherwise it was terrific!

After checking the entire hotel for a luggage cart, all six floors, and finding none, I got to make five trips between the room and car to carry our luggage up, the sink had not been washed out, some of the toiletries in the bathroom had the safety seal broken already. The hotel looked very nice.

It's new, it's beautiful and its right where we needed to be for this trip which, unfortunately, was to attend a memorial service.

Beautiful hotel with nice pool and fitness center. Close to movie theater (great for families)and within short drive to variety of restaurants. Not close to tourist sites, though. Our rooms were close to elevator; heard elevator bell all night, but not really intrusive. Beds were wonderful. Shower-only bathrooms with fixed-glass wall interesting; not terribly convenient.

The hotel was close enough to Gettysburg and remote enough to be quiet and relaxing. It was modern and the room was very well appointed. The shower was very different, with a glass wall.

Excellent newer hotel in convenient location just outside the city. Room and bathroom were large. Had a nice flat screen TV with RCA inputs so we could look at pictures from our digital camera or watch DVDs with our portable player. No fridge or microwave, but did have in-room coffeemaker. Nice pool, hot tub and workout room.
