The hotel was located close to the main shopping and one of the main dining centers in Chicago. It was fairly close to a stop on the Chicago Transit System, and was also walking distance to the Loop. The facility was well maintained, and the staff was very responsive to any questions or requests.

Staff was great. Needs a little TLC in the rooms. Beds were good but bathroom needed some touch up work. Could upgrade TVs most 3star and higher have flat screen. Wasn't asked at check in 1 or 2 beds smoking or non, got opposite of what I wanted on both ends but when we returned that night and called front desk they were more than accomodating.

I stayed here from Dec 24-28, 2008, and i loved every minute of it. We had the easiest and smoothest checkin and checkout one could ask for. The front desk staff and concierge were so nice and helpful and assisted us with everything we needed at all times. The location is awesome and just the atmosphere of he hotel is worth it. It was also great because as you can see this hotel is liek $+ a night but luckily when we booked we got it for $ a night. A deal we couldnt refuse. The only thing i would say about this hotel is that you can only control the temperature in the room to a certain degree so although it was snowing outside, a few nights we woke up sweating because the room was warm and we couldnt adjust the temp to what we wanted.

My brother booked 3 rooms using online travel for our group. After a long day exploring chicago with my kids I showered and went to bed in the very uncomfortable bed. I must have tossed and turned all night because when I woke the sheets were in disarray and the matress was exposed at my feet. I had over 30 bites on my feet and legs that are still bothering me 3 days later...

The check-in process was quick and our room was everything we expected it to be, it was spacious and clean. Valet service was always prompt when we needed our car and there's always a taxis available in front of the hotel when we chose to cab it. I wish the staff would've told me about the hotel membership so I can start accummulating points because I do plan on staying there again!

Location was perfect and the beds were comfy! You had to pay for wireless access. Rooms were very clean and well maintained, but a bit cramped. The decor was aiming for guided age but ended up just looking old. The beds and pillows were heavenly though.

The hotel is in a great location just two blocks from the famous Gino's East pizza place on Superior and one block off the heart of the Mag Mile/Michigan Ave. The staff was the most attentive and professional of any hotel or condo we visited. The king corner room offered a lot more space than even some suites we've stayed in at other hotels on Michigan Ave. The indoor pool and hot tub area was very nice. Our vehicle was very well taken care of by the valet and the room was extremely clean. The only complaints are the $49 per day valet parking fee and the noise from ambulances going to Northwestern Memorial Hospital which is on the same block.

Looked at several hotels online and finally decided on the Wyndham. We were so happy with our choice. Sumptuous bedding, nice view, plush towels. Very happy with the in-room facilities, especially the CD player. The staff was exceptional...dealt with 3 different concierges, and they could not have been more helpful. The location was incredible...a short block from Michigan Avenue, right at Magnificent Mile. Lots of choices for parking garages nearby, and enough good restaurants. We walked to fireworks on Saturday night, walked to Water Tower Place, Borders, Gino's East, the Spanish Cultural Center, India House restaurant, etc, etc, etc. We listed this under "Romantic Weekends"...and so you'll know, those chairs are definitely ergonomic. We'd stay at the Wyndham any weekend.

I found this location to be great for doing chicago activities. Overall I felt the hotel and room was ok. The staff never really asked me how my room was or asked if I needed anything. I ended up spraining my foot while out. I ordered a wheelchair to my room because with all of the floors it was to hard to get around. The chair never came, I hade to limp to the front desk to get it. I did find a small, dead bug in the bathroom but since I work at a hotel myself, it didn't really bother me because I know it happens. The rooms were nice but there would be no way for someone to sleep on the floor, the rooms were pretty small. Infact, the bathroom was almost the same size as the room. The beds seemed to be a bit old or just pretty lumpy. I would recomend this hotel as a one night stay. If you wern't planing on spending much time in the room, this is a great place.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. No complaints. Large, clean rooms and friendly staff. Didn't have any complaints. Even the complimentary toiletries were nice (Aveda products!) Be aware that by being next to the hospital there would be ambulance sirens throughout the night so if you're a light sleeper ear plugs may be a good idea. However, I'd say the noise level was pretty standard for being in a big city.

After being eaten alive the first night, I contacted the front desk. Housekeeping changed the bedding completely, without checking for bugs. Apparently the bugs were in the mattress because the second night was worse. I was bit twice in 15 minutes and moved to the room's other bed, which was blessedly bug free. I slept fine in the other the last two nights, but I was shocked that no one looked into my complaint -- nothing was done and I was charged full rates. Also, the room was mediocre, the cordless phone didn't work, Internet access was poor and 10.95 per day extra, furnishings were lower quality and worn, no second mirror in the bathroom, nothing above a two-star hotel. The one positive was that the staff was very nice, many were very helpful in other areas, but I was astonished that no one even bothered to check into my problem. As friendly as the staff was, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

Wyndham Chicago was a great stay for the money. The staff was super friendly and helpful with locations of nearby attractions. The selection of TV channels were not the greatest, but there again we were not there to watch TV. The only bad thing I can even think of with this hotel was having to listen to ambulance sirens from time to time (a hospital was right across the street) which got a little annoying. The pool was a little small, but the hot tub and steam room definitely made up for it. My wife and I had the pool area all to ourselves the first night, and that was GREAT! We were also able to do an early check-in since our flight was early, and a late check out without an extra cost. We would definitely stay there again for what we ended up paying. I warn you though, drinks at the bar are very expensive. My wife and I had one drink each and it was $22. There is a liquor store nearby which is a lot cheaper if you are going to drink while staying at the Wyndham. Within walking distance is the Navy Pier, Magnificient Mile, and more resturants then you could eat at in a week.

The concierge staff was phenomenal. The bathrooms were nice. Mainly I was disappointed with the furniture as it was not updated and we did not receive our wakeup call.

Four of us stayed in a double bed room and found we had more than enough room. The beds were very comfortable. The room was bright and clean. We liked the location, close to Michigan Avenue but not in a congested area. Since we were right by the hospital, we did hear the ambulances at night, but we were tired enough to be able to fall asleep. The concierges, xxx and xxx, were very helpful to us with directions and restaurant choices, and helped make our stay very enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

This is our third stay at the Wyndham Hotel. We enjoy its location and proximity to Michigan Avenue shopping yet it's off the main streets so it's relatively quiet. Our only disappointment was the broken hair dryer and the fact that the lock on our hallway door was broken. We found a way to manually lock the door and made a complaint on both of these items as we left. We would stay there again.

Location. Very small pool area. Very nice and clean hotel, easy check in and friendly service. We were pleasantly surprise when they offered to put us into a junior suite for an extra $30 or a full suite for $50. We chose the full suite because we were traveling with our 2 children. It was very nice to have a separate bedroom with a king bed for privacy. And of course we always love the beds at the Wyndham, very comfortable!

An absolutely GREAT location, walking distance to all of River North, Mag Mile. The hotel was very accommodating, check in was supposed to be at 4pm, the room was ready at 11:30, the hotel was also able to comply with our request for a king/smoking. The room had no view, but on this trip we were not interested in a view. Had air conditioning problems that were dealt with quickly and to our satisfaction. The only problem we encountered was parking was listed as included and the hotel said it was not. I had my printout that showed parking included and they honored it without any hassle at all. We spend a number of weekends in the city and I would definitely choose this hotel again.

Hotel is centrally located to all local attractions, resturants, Navy Pier, Miracle Mile, and Rush Street. Hotel room was very clean. It should be made known that the checkin desk is on floor 2 rather than floor 1 where it usually is.

The Wyndham location was magnificent as several restaurants and shops were within minutes of walking. The hotel concierge was especially helpful and had brocheres and maps available. Our room was neat and had a food and drink bar. The magnificent mile was a block away. The only drawback is that the hospital is next door so the sound of ambulances were in the distance at night. Somehow this did not bother our sleep and we stayed four nights. We would quickly stay at this hotel again.
