Nice surroundings/views. LoudAC in room.
Date of Stay:

The HVAC system ran with such noise and force that is was impossible to sleep. It could not be turned off. The register was aimed directly at the bed resulting in a constant draft. Both the clock and the hair dryer provided by the hotel were inoperable. The room door was sticking and difficult to close. The deficiencies noted above more than offset the cleanliness of the room, the pleasant and courteous staff and beautiful location. It was not a pleasant visit.

Beware of the "standard rooms" at Canoa Ranch Resort. They have a patio door and balcony that faces directly into another room and two hallways. The suites are very nice though and the staff was friendly. Beautiful resort, very quiet.

We did not like this hotel. The signage on the road was poor, the directions were confusing. We got there to check in at about 7 p.m. and the front door to the lobby did not always open, even if you had your outside key. At least 3 times, we had to wait for the person manning the desk to come and open the door (and it was cold, and our hands were full). We heard a lot of apologies from the front desk person. The rooms are not adequately sound proofed. I thought someone had actually entered the room when I was using the restroom because they were so loud. We stayed in the room for a few minutes, realized their TV and talking would be unbearable, and asked to have a different room. The other room was in a different building (away from our traveling partner). When we moved to that room, it had not been cleaned and there was an unmade bed, laudry strewn around, just a mess. Back to the main lobby, again waiting for the front door to open. We stayed in the same room with our traveling partner, more apologies from the front desk, and being told that that staff person was 'getting yelled at by guests all night'. We heard other guests from that room as well, every time a toilet flushed or the shower was run. While out in the lobby, we heard other guests asking about the lack of dishes and soap (for the condos that could be rented). I had asked the hotel to credit the cost of the second room and that took an additional block of time spelling names and giving addresses on the phone after dealing with the front lobby. We will not return.

Time share units trying to operate as a hotel. No ice machines, soda machines or gift shop. Nearest mini-mart is 15 minute drive away. The fitness room just opened and didn't have a tv. There is no business center. The staff was very cheerful and helpful, but couldn't make up for the shortcomings. The rooms are very clean and new, but with the curtains open they offer very little privacy. The pool area is very nice, but the muzac was turned up way to loud and there was a lot of debris in the pool.May be a suitable place for a quiet get-away, but definitely not for the business traveler.

Nice and new. Did not feel soiled, worn out or dated. Really noisy air return on the A/C and TV was hard to see from bed. Nice location and easy to get to especially if you don't want to go into the city (Tucson) but want to be close. The place is for sale so you are actually staying in the bedroom of a condo but it is spacious and comfortable.

Room was spacious and attractive-fabulous for the price. Air conditioning was noisy and no way to shut off-noises in vents in room during rain. Only 2 years old, but you could hear the clomping noise of people above you, rooms were large with big closets, nice bathroom and pleasing decor; our room looked over a non landscaped parking lot, but there were nice views of mountains beyond.

Nice resort. The view was a hallway. The room was great, the food was excellent, and the golf course was fun.

Spacious, luxurious, and wonderful setting. Slow elevator. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel. The cleanliness, friendliness, and proximity to desert walking, golfing, dining, and a short drive to Tucson sold us on Canoa Ranch Resort.

Very nice, new building and room. Never got our room cleaned, we were there one week. The building and grounds were excellent. Cleaning staff was unprofessional entering our room while were changing clothes even though we were yelling that we need a moment. We never actually got our room cleaned because they would come at 8am, we requested they return after we would leave (around 10am) everyday but it never happened. Front desk staff friendly and accommodated our request for a room change after we explained how our room was not cleaned.

It had everything we could possible need for our stay. Perfect place to stay especially if you are staying for an extended period of time.

Great if you are a golfer. Beautiful pool and hot tub area. Small rooms, felt claustrophobic. Restaurants and shopping about 4 miles away. The pool area was awesome. Too cold and windy while we were there to enjoy it. Some rooms may be nice, ours was tiny with a view into the next room. Had to keep curtains closed to avoid looks from the room across from us. Wine and cheese in the evening is to try to sell you a condo or timeshare. A nice place to go for a walk or golf.

Great room and no view! Location is nowhere, no restaurant andonly a pool! This place is hard to find, isolated and no amenities - Just a check in desk and nothing else. We had to drive many miles at night to find a restaurant and that is another thing - no upscale restaurants anywhere.
