What transport is available to get around?: During peak months, there is a FREE transportation option compliments of a combined effort between Acadia National Park and L.L. Bean called The Island Explorer. It is a shuttle system that travels all over the island and conveniently has a stop right outside The Wonder View Inn lobby area. We are the FIRST stop out of town and the LAST stop into town. In addition to getting in and out of town, this shuttle also travels ALL over the island including into the park (including to the top of Cadillac Mountain, Jordan Pond House, Thunder Hole, Sand Beach, Seawall etc) as well as transport to all the other towns on the island.

There are a number of taxi services available to transport guests to and from airports. The largest airport (1 hour and 15 minutes from the island) is located in Bangor: Bangor International Airport. There is also another local airport located in Trenton (approximately 15 minutes away) called Bar Harbor Airport.

We are a very short walk to town. From The Wonder View Inn lobby area to the town pier is only 3/4 mile. There are side walks available as well as crosswalks the entire route.
Do you provide parking?: We have ample parking available.
What are your breakfast options?: We have our restaurant; The Looking Glass, which was voted Best Breakfast with a View by YANKEE magazine in April of 2010, is open 7 days a week from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Our breakfast is a full serve breakfast hence anything from tea and toast to a lobster omelet is available (and in between).
What can I do nearby?: Acadia National Park is the primary area attraction receiving 2.5 million visitors a year. We are conveniently located 1/4 mile a park entrance. Our sister property The Bluenose has nightly entertainment in their Great Room featuring Bill Trowell (pianist) and many more.
Do you have internet?: We do not currently have internet in our rooms though it is available in our lobby area for free.
