the night manager lied to me. Could not get wifi to work in my room on first day. After multiple visits from maintenance man to try to fix it, reset the server somewhere in hotel, it was finally working. Second evening, wifi works until 7 PM and then goes away.no signal. Maint. guy can;t get it working, eventually i ask for another room, manager tells me there are no other rooms available. 5 minutes later I call the reservation number, get the SAME manager and ask if they have any rooms available - he says yes, they have both Queens and double queens available. I walk to front desk and ask the manager why he lied to me. He got testy and mean and said he did not lie, but he would not move me to another room because that would be a room that he could not sell then. I said I wanted my money back - he said that he could not do that, either. In a huff, after i asked for his name and the names of the general managers, he said he would let me bring my computer to an unused room but he would bet that I would not be able to connect. After making the wrong key the first time, he finally let me into a room at the other end of the building and sure enough, I got a STRONG wifi signal. He let me move rooms. Tomorrow I ask for a reduction in my bill, too.

Please don't stay here. I stayed here because they had free wireless, and I couldn't get the internet to work all night! I called the tech support, maintenance, the front desk, and manager. The girls at the front desk were very rude about it, and no one was ever sent to my room to help me. Worst customer service ever, and overpriced for the bad service and internet that doesn't work.

This place is really nice, especially if you opt for the $190 King jacuzzi suite. Pool is great, restaurant excellent with very attractive pricing, the staff super friendly and the casino featuring double-deck blackjack in the evening. We had planned to go on down to Reno for a couple nights, but had such a great time in Winnemucca at the Red Lion, we just camped there for a few nights. Relaxing, great summer weather, interesting people and amazing landscape.

Good hotel in center of town. Large room, very clean. Good casino and lounge for sports viewing. Top it off with dinner at the Martin Hotel--best Basque food you'll find anywhere in U.S.

Clean and tastefully decorated rooms, friendly staff. Our room was located next to the hotels cleaning supply room, so there was more traffic than normally expected. Our room was tastefully decorated and clean.

The Red Lion Hotel and Casino located in Winnemucca, NV was a very nice place to stay. Very clean rooms, a nice buffet, and the location in dowtown made it very pleasing. I would recommend this hotel to anybody.

Location is good. It was like staying in a giant ashtray stinky Smokey. Room was recently refurbished but reeked of cigarette smoke. Staff were dullards who didn't seem to care that they had no non-smoking rooms. Told me I could go to another motel. Said they could do nothing since I booked on Priceline. The food in the resturant was mediocre. I ordered Turkey which was drowned in canned gravy. I could have been in a Greyhound bus diner in 1972. They were very proud of their salad bar best in town but lettuce was brown where it had been cut, again a time machine to the 70's. I would sleep in my car rather than stay in this stink hole again.

Rooms spacious, fridge, microwave, iron & board etc. all included. Was originally assigned to a smoking room, but they gave me non-smoking when I asked and it was a better room. The room we got was very spacious and had numerous nice amenities such as free internet, fridge & micro, good brand toiletries. Although it was quite warm out the pool was not open.Restaurant is OK, not gourmet but decent food at reasonable prices. Casino on premises, fun but not the best odds to be found if you like slots etc.

The rooms were very spacious. Front desk staff. Our family was very tired when we arrived at about 11:30 pm (I have 3 young children). The girl at the front desk (who later mentioned that she worked almost every day) was very unfriendly and didn't seem to know what she was doing. She stated that she could not find our reservation, so I handed her a copy of my Priceline printout/receipt. The girl simply said she didn't know what to do and stared at the printout for several minutes. I offered suggestions such as asking a manager or calling Priceline, but she just ignored me. She finally went into the back room, with no explanation, and didn't come out for about 30-40 minutes. I about fell asleep waiting. She finally came out and gave me the room keys. By then, it was after midnight.Other than that, the room was nice and large, and we didn't have any other problems with our brief visit. It would have been nice if they had a continental breakfast, though.

Easy to locate, very nicely appointed, clean room. The smoke in the casino downstairs. Very nice experience all around - the smoke was the only drawback.

It had a fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Would not change my room type. This hotel is nice and the rooms are spacious. They have a fridge, microwave and coffee pot in each room which is very convenient.

The restaurant. The hotel staff. Overall the hotel was alright. We arrived and the keys to the room would not work. Maintenance came and they had a hard time getting their key to work but finally did. We were let in and told they would fix the lock tomorrow. We could not leave the room. We had wanted to go and check out the casino and some of the town but had no way to get back into the room. They did not offer to put us up in another room. I don't think we would stay there again.

I enjoyed the very comfy bed, the hotel had a microwave and fridge, large spacious room with spacious bathroom. The hotel room entrance to my room was located outside. We needed to stop for a couple hours to get some sleep, I was expecting it to smell like smoke seeing that it was attached to a casino, but it had no smell at all, very comfortable room and spacious, we had to play pins we fit in there with room to spare, and the nice thing also was that the bathroom soap and conditioner was bath and body products (for those of you who don't know what that is, its expensive body product)

The convenience of the location right on main street Room was not too clean. Cobwebs, sheets looked soiled. The hotel is not bad. We have ate at the restaurant several times since it is on the main road on our trips, both leisure and business. Lots of cobwebs in curtains, sheets looked soiled, no laundry bags, etc. Just little things that I noticed that make you wonder.

The non-smoking room really was non-smoking, and the hotel was very centrally located. It's a nice hotel for the area, the rooms were clean and the staff seemed pleasant. The food in the restaurant is mediocre and over-priced-the restaurant was filled with smoke. We'd recommend eating at The Griddle across the street. Also, we were disappointed that the heated pool was not in operation.

The room was excellent and I think exceeded two stars. There were no pay for view movies. It is probably the best in Winnemucca. I was more than pleased by the room itself. It was clean well furnished, had many little things that made it a very good place to stay, such as an iron and ironing board, microwave, coffee maker, small refrigerator, soap and shampoo, lots of phone books for getting information, two easy chairs and a table. It was just a good value.

The beds were very comfortable. The room was clean and quiet. The restaurant on site had a nice selection of food. The bathrooms in the rooms are very small, which is tough with small children. I hate walking through the casino to get to the restaurant. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. Although it's right on the road, the rooms blocked out almost all of the noise. The on site restaurant was nice and the food was good. I did hate to have to walk through the casino to get to the restaurant, though. All in all, a nice place to stay.

It was inexpensive. They would not give us a room with two beds, and the casino was smoky. The Red Lion in Winnemucca was conveniently located for a driving trip we took to Yellowstone. The room was nice enough, although the check-in was in a very smoky casino. What I didn't like was the staff's attitude.
