my wife stayed at hotel for the week while i was working during business hours and some late night she raved about the staff all week help her stay be so less boring while i was working. help us with keep ice packs for my medicine frozen and ready for road trips, gave us hints where we had to eat and go see ... the area of the town way easy to get around and room was quiet. if business takes me this way again count be in for a week but my wife wont let leave her at home its a trip for the whole family

We loved staying at this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful. The room and entire hotel was extremely clean and enjoyable. We all enjoyed the pool and hot tub. This hotel is close to great resturants and shopping. We would stay here again with no hesitations.

Great beds. Flooding in the bathrooms in handicapped rooms. Overall, very nice. We were booked in a handicapped room, and the shower was broken and flooded the bathroom. We were moved to a second room, again handicapped (I don't know why) that had the same problem. Beds are very comfy, there are snack and drink vending machines, and side entrances in and out of the hotel.

I stayed at this hotel on October 21-23, 2007 while visiting friends in the Hudson, Ohio area. The staff at the front desk seemed friendly and cheerful. I stayed in room 213 which is a handicap room near the elevators and the ice machine. The room has a microwave and mini refrigerator and occasionally I could hear the elevator chime at night. The only issue I had was that the pillows were too firm for my liking but housekeeping was able to accommodate me with a softer pillow. A continental breakfast and daily newspapers are included in the rate. I didn?t use the pool or spa and would stay at this hotel again. The corkscrew is kept behind the front desk.

This was a clean hotel with comfortable rooms. A very nice stay. Phone did not work properly, but it was replaced. The Wingate is a very nice, clean, well appointed hotel. It is comfortable and family friendly. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. There is a self-service breakfast that was plentiful and free. All in all, this is a great place to stay, especially for a 2.5 star.

The bed was so comfortable! The heat was difficult to regulate. The hotel is new and really clean. It is about 15 minutes from Kent State and there are plenty of places to eat and shop near by. I was surprised how rural the area was. Crime is of no concern in this area.

Large room with sitting area. Breakfast was sub par compared to Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn. We had an excellent room (king bed, non-smoking facility). Beautiful room. Hotel is next door to restaurant and convenient to stores. Self-service laundry, excellent front desk staff. Housekeeping was uneven; one day even left dirty towels on floor.

Nice clean rooms, good free breakfast. Lack of sufficient vending although sheets were nearby. No surprises which is a good thing. The rooms are sufficiently large and comfortable with internet access. Everything was clean and in working order. Staff was very helpful in mapping out directions to nearby destinations and recommending nearby restaurants.

Location, helpful staff, price, free waffles. Visible construction/cleanup in game room (but guest room was fine). The front desk manager was friendly and helpful when we checked in at 2 am. Though the first room was wrong (2 doubles instead of king), she quickly got us into the correct room. It's not a fancy place, and the AC was hard to work. But it was clean, has free Wi-Fi, and a better than average free breakfast, including real (not toaster) make-them-yourself waffles. It was easy on/off the interstate, with a Wal-Mart right across the street for travel needs. Convenient for auto travelers.

The beds were comfortable you did not hear other people. The dryer didn't work and I had a appointment. Very nice, a lot of activities to do, I don't usually spend this much money for a get away evening but it was very nice. Breakfast has a very good selection I would come again.

It met all my expectations. Would have liked to be able to have a king bed. We always enjoy staying here, sometimes, staff are not always accommodating, when they really have an option to be if they chose to. They may not always think it through.

Spacious. The pool room was very hot! The hotel overall was very nicely cleaned. Staff was great. However the pool area was very hot. So hot that I couldn't even stand just sitting there at the poolside tables. And plus there were screaming kids in the pool at 9:30 PM at night. Loud screaming kids!

Everything was very well kept and they had microwaves and frig. In room. Also a great indoor pool & hot tub. There was very little to not like, one exception would be the entrance to the property was awkward. Hotel was very well kept with very good service. The public area was very attractive as well as the rooms. All equipment in fitness room was in good shape and the pool and hot tub were very well maintained.

Hotel staff was very helpful. Hotel was very dirty. We stayed at this hotel for two weeks. The staff and management were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was dirty and not as well maintained as the other Wigate Inns where I have lodged.
