All was good. I was very much impressed with the room and the facility.

We stayed overnight at a three star hotel in Atlanta on our way to Jacksonville . When we arrived at Wingate, we pretty much expected the same standard since Wingate was a three star hotel. Wrong!! The rooms at Wingate were cleaner, larger and quality furnishings. I told my wife that it was unfair that this Wingate had the same rating as the hotel in Atlanta. I enjoyed my stay and would do it again. The breakfast was wonderful. We swam one day and the pool was clean.I have stayed in many three star hotels and Wingate is at the top of my choices.

The location was good, a Cracker Barrel was near by. The posh St. Johns shopping area was within 10 minutes away with tons of shopping and exceptional dining. The property was very nice and the room was exceptional. Very large with a sitting area, a desk and a nice and roomy bathroom. They served a hot breakfast from 6-10am which was pretty good. The breakfast area was very neat and clean with a large TV and morning papers for guests to enjoy. All in all, it exceeded our expectations.

Room was clean, staff was acceptable. Room smelled perfumey, like an air freshener had been used. Clean for business travel. I felt it was a bit over priced, but we were in Jacksonville for the Gator Bowl, which may have had something to do with pricing.

Stayed here for my aniversary/Florida-Georgia game. Room was very clean. Staff was helpful and nice. Good location. Several places for eating and shopping nearby. Shuttle to the Stadium only three blocks away! Will be staying here again! GO GATORS!!!Only problem was the hot water. Had to use all hot water to take a shower. Not sure why.

Finding this hotel is a nightmare and negotiating the traffic in the area is dangerous. It's not just the Wingate though as there is a whole group of hotels that are hidden obscurely behind a bunch of highway interchanges. Once I got there though, I enjoyed my stay. The desk attendant was very nice and helpful and allowed us to use the pool after hours since she was on shift until late. A different clerk also granted a late checkout with no fuss. The room is a nice size, kind of basic, with easy computer setup for both wired and wireless internet and power. The bed and pillows weren't super comfortable, but I found everything pretty clean. If you're just looking for someplace to stay a few nights that is clean, safe, affordable etc then I would recommend this place, and I'd stay there again myself.

The surrounding. The landscaping of the property was beautiful. It was near good restaurant and located close to the interstate. I did not like entering the room with the air conditioning set at a very low temperature. The temperature should be set at a moderate.

We stayed for 1 night on our way to S. Carolina. This is the first time we stayed in this hotel chain and we were skeptical. We usually stay at Hampton Inn when we travel. To our surprise the hotel was very clean and in excellent condition. The Front Desk staff was very friendly. The room has everthing and even provided a microwave and a refrigerator. We did not try the pool or fitness center, maybe next time. The breakfast was very good. Overall, we had a very nice stay there and will definitely stay there again.

My husband and I traveled with our 23 month old son from pa. for my nieces' graduation. This place was centrally located and very nice. Breakfast was very nice selection. Not suited for young children, playground would be nice. Doors slam shut because they lock automatically so you could hear others close-sometimes early/late.Beds were so comfortable!

Clean hotel, efficient staff, nice area. This hotel was great. It was clean and was located in a nice upscale area with other quality hotels. The Applebee's was a nice one block walk away. Would stay here again when I am in Jacksonville.

Close to St. Luke's and easy drive to Mayo Clinic. Great breakfast and Happy Hour is a plus. Room was clean and extra amenities were a plus.

The floor was wet and the room had some weird smell. TV is small. At about 6 am fire alarm started to ring and water in the bathroom started to have some noise.

Staff was very helpful, room was very nice. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Was one of the nicest I've stayed at in the area. All the staff was very helpful, right down finding us a restaurant we could all agree on, and giving us turn by turn directions to the restaurant. Which made our stay more delightful, we all had a very pleasant stay. And best of all the rooms were GREAT!

This is a beautiful hotel and is in a good location. My only problem was I had booked and confirmed a smoking room -- it was not available when I checked in. Either an apology or attempt to resolve would have been appropriate.

The front desk person was exceptional. She heard us talking about where to eat, printed maps for us and was just so helpful.

Good location. Poor customer service. The hotel was sold out; however, the toilet was stopped up. The hotel staff appeared unconcerned about pleasing me - they wanted to come in the room and fix the toilet (it was late, I was tired, had driven all day in the rain and backed up traffic). I only wanted to get undressed and relax - I was not in the mood to sit through the inconvenience of having the toilet repaired at that hour 10:45 pm - the toilet had to be backed up previously and should have been fixed before the room was released). I will probably never stay at a Wingate property again.

We were in town for the Gator Bowl and everything at the hotel met our needs. It was only around $20 for a taxi down town and everything worked out well.

Quiet location, close to restaurants, friendly staff. Due to family emergency needed to extend our stay.

The Lobby area was very nicely decorated; staff were pleasant; our room was clean and the bedding looked nearly new. Struggled a little to keep the room temp stable -- perhaps more options on the controls would've helped. They had a nice exercise room, large (indoor) hot tub (very hot!), but the only pool was outside and even with mild Dec weather (70 degrees) it was ice cold. Overall: Very satisfied and would stop again.
