Date of Stay: July, 2008

The hotel is very close to the airport but not so close that you hear planes overhead. The pool was clean but very small. I wouldn't plan to stay here for an extended family vacation with plans to use the pool much... your kids would be disappointed. The breakfast was very good and extensive - eggs, sausage, french toast, pancakes, belgium waffles, and many healthy choices. Our room was very nice - clean and modern and 2 queens not doubles. This was just right for the night before leaving Orlando.

Chose this property because of good package rate for a property with a great location near the airport and easy access to the highway to Kennedy Space Center for the Shuttle Launch. Great assortment of places to eat nearby.

Nothing! Discourteous staff! No amenities at all!

The hotel room was absolutely beautiful and soooo clean! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean and everything was nicely decorated. The only complaint was on the check out morning needing to go to the airport via their shuttle. They had hourly scheduled shuttles, I needed to be there 1/2 hour earlier and I felt like I was putting them out by asking to be taken to the airport (2 miles away) which they offered to do for a $10.00 charge. The driver was not happy that I couldn't wait another 1/2 hour, which would cause me to miss my flight. Another issue that happened was someone from the hotel staff opened my door at 7:30 am with their key and the security bar caught the door so it didn't open all the way, after it caught they let the door slam, not only waking me up but giving a very unsafe feeling. I don't think I would go back to a place I felt unsafe even though the room was nice.

Checked in on Monday and hot tub was cold, staff said manager knew about it but wouldn't fix it. Still not working after 6 days. No compensation offered since we had prepaid through the travel website.

The carpet in the room felt a little tacky to walk on barefooted like the cleaning solution was not extracted thoroughly, but otherwise the room was great and the bed very comfy!

The front desk staff member was not friendly or helpful just telling us the sign there was the times of the shuttle, not what was listed on the TV in our room so we were left to wait for over an hour at which time my husband complained to the manager. The shuttle dirver himself was very nice and helpful. The furniture in the rooms and in the reception area is soiled: The upholstery needs a cleaning. It provides a bad impression. Otherwise the trip was okay.

If you have any toilet stoppages, fedex packages, coffee maker, or jackhammering and construction issues don't stay there. The ducks and turtles in the pond behind the place were great!!!!

The breakfast was pretty basic self service a little disappointing. However, staff were friendly and this is close to the airport. Ok for a one night stay.

The rooms are very clean and have a microwave and fridge... which is great for heating bottles and etc. I was a bit skeptical at first because it is so close to the airport I thought it would be noisey, but in the 6 days we were there I didn't hear one plane and we were on the top floor! The people were friendly and the rooms are very large. The room with the king bed had enough room for the pack-n-play to stay up all the time and the baby had room to play on the floor... it was very spacious. The one thing I would have liked was a bigger pool. It was very tiny and on the side of the building in a remote place.

The hot tub was really nice. No problems. Hotel is located near the airport. Amenities include a nice hot tub with a view of the exercise facility. Hotel is relatively new.

If you are looking for value and great comfort, this is the place. The staff is very friendly. Excellent morning breakfast that the children loved. There is even a BBQ grill on the main floor patio that we saw on our last day, if we would have seen it before we would have taken advantage of it. Close to the airport and easy to find. The beds are very much of the highest comfort and the air was in great working order. Centrally located to all great resturants and to all theme parks. Over all ITS A MUST.

It was a very short stay but I managed to get some R&R. I had a great room just perfect for the occasion.

The coffee machine. Yummy French vanilla! Dark burgundy colors in room. Pictures hung high over beds. At first I was told there was not a room ready, and the girl behind the desk just said that I had to come back later. Another guy overheard as I was walking away and suggested to call a maid to see if anything was ready. The call was successful. Thanks to the little effort made, I was able to make the most of my day. The girl could have cared less.

Proximity to the aiport, overall cleanliness of property, and the buffet breakfast are the Wingate's only selling points. Too many things broken/missing in the bathroom for an 80/night hotel stay. Hot-water handle in the bathroom sink missing. Bathroom sink stopper didn't work, especially important for a contact lens wearer. Sink stopper in the shower broken and resting on the floor of the shower; not good for those of us who shower without shoes! Worst item: broken AC/heating, which vigorously blew cold air in the room despite adjustments to the thermostat and two calls to the front desk and two days to fix, for a 3-night stay. Inattentive front desk help.

The room had two queen sized beds which were quite comfortable. The pool was quite small and was located outside of the building. The hotel room we were in was clean and nicely decorated. The beds were extremely comfortable. We were quite impressed with the continental breakfast that was provided.There was lots of selection - with both warm and cold foods.

I stayed for 1 nite in trasition to disney, it was a great stay room has all you need for a couple of days ire: micro, tv. coffeepot and a plus frig. a must with kids. Breakfest was great get there early, business center really nice, can check email book tickets to parks and anything else. would stay again ps watch for a double charge I prepaid and they charged me again , I still havent recived credit.
