Date of Stay: July, 2009

The hotel staff was friendly (especially the cleaning staff and the lovely girl who makes the morning breakfast). The hotel itself was clean. Our room was also clean, comfortable and spacious for the four of us. We knew going there that this hotel is geared more toward business stays, but we opted to stay there for the price and the location. So there is no pool if you're going to be traveling with the kids and no hotel restaurant either, fyi. The location was just right though. The hotel is only a few short miles to several major locations and only 2 hours away from the beach. The only complaint we have is that the walls are paper thin. We could hear our neighbors conversations crystal clear along with whatever they were watching on tv. So I could only assume that they heard my baby crying as well. Not very fun. For THAT reason we will not be staying at this hotel again. Go Tar Heels!

Stayed four days. Hotel is very comfortable and convenient to the freeway. Complimentary newspapers every morning. Complimentary breakfast was plentiful, varied, and quite good. Breakfast area was roomy and comfortable. Staff was helpful, always courteous and friendly. Good beds and room had a refrigerator and microwave. Would stay here again.

The wingate was very close to shopping ammenities. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious. It was very relaxing which is what we wanted. The only let down was that there was only a whirlpool and not an actual swimming pool. If they had a swimming pool they would be 100% complete. The continental breakfast was good and the place wasn't loud. It was very peaceful. If were in the area again we would definitely stay again and/or recommend others to stay here.

My wife and I stayed for four nights. The price was right, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the location (right off I40) was ideal. The whirlpool was out of order, not that we cared. (There is no swimming pool.) This is a smoke-free hotel, which makes my wife very happy. However, I enjoy a cigar with my cocktail before dinner. If they simply covered and screened the small patio behind the hotel, it would be a perfect compromise for "mixed" couples like us. I have to believe that the combination of BOTH a smoke-free interior and a smoke-friendly patio would be good for business.

Convenient to airport. Not many restaurants close by. Nice place for a mid-line hotel. Similar to what you would expect from Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, etc. along that line. Clean, with friendly staff that are attentive to your needs.

I stayed at the Wyndam in February for the weekend. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The pillow top bed was heavenly. I highly recommend this hotel. You cannot beat the rates.

Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Whirlpool was nice and clean. Staff were very friendly. We utilized the shuttle to and from airport. Both drivers very courteous. We left the baby's diapers at the beach and the shuttle driver was kind enough to drive us to a local store on the way to the airport. Breakfast was okay. We would stay there again.

We stayed overnight for a very early morning flight from RDU. Picked us up the next week and arranged another night's stay at reduced price. Staff was wonderful. Good breakfast. Would consider staying here anytime we are in the area!

Comfortable bed and bed linens. Had to wait 15 min for breakfast items to be restocked. Clean comfortable room that was very quiet. Staff was very friendly. Parking was convenient.

Room was clean and spacious. Lower rating because the breakfast was very poor. Both mornings the breakfast was very poorly stocked, customers having to ask for bagels, eggs, creamer, etc. Looked like no one was actually working the breakfast area. Overall I would stay again, just not planning on eating breakfast there.

The rooms are fairly comfortable and reasonably clean.The walls are paper thin which makes it difficult to sleep when the people around you are making any noise, also the house keeping staff is extremely loud in the mornings, shouting to each other down the halls.The front desk wasn't much help in getting them to quiet down either.

We went there to golf, not knowing anything about the location. We thought we were going to be w/in walking distance of restaurants or stores but we weren't. However, everything was a short drive away. The room was clean and big. The maid service didn't come until late in the day but once we figured that out, we worked around it. Breakfast was the same every day--could have used a variety. Overall, happy with the hotel and the price.

The breakfast was excellent. The shower head was 1 pm; towels and linen smelled of second-hand cigarette smoke. I was disappointed that, even though I turned in a negative comment card, no effort was made to right the situation in the present or the future.

this hotel was very comfortable and included everything you needed for business, including a business center. The rooms were comfortable and clean. This hotel is easy to find off the highway and includes a shuttle service to the airport if needed. I would stay here again and if the other locations are similar i would stay in any of the other areas as well.

Clean room, nice breakfast, friendly staff. Can't think of anything. This hotel was exactly as described, clean, comfortable and well appointed for business travel. Convenient location, too.
