Very quiet rooms. Breakfast buffet. Boutique feel in a chain motel. Good lighting, design, and friendly staff.

The service was great, because my family and I are violent sleepers and the bedsheets were completely pulled out in the night. They remade the beds completely and made it look like a whirlwind HADN'T hit it, which was nice. This bugs me because it happens all the time: online they say a cot can be brought in the room, and then when you get there they say "Sorry, no can do. It's a fire hazard." People, get it straight. If not all the rooms can have a cot, then list exactly which rooms can have one ONLINE so we know which room we should ask for based on our needs. Good grief, is that so hard?

Stayed 3 nights, very nice room. Staff were friendly and helpful. There were several other guests on our floor, but there were no sounds coming through the walls, so we slept peacefully. Continental breakfast was a pleasant experience - good sized dining area, good choice of breakfast items (very good coffee!). Made use of the Business Center to print off some directions. All in all, this is a hotel we would definitely stay at in the future.

We were there for Mother's Day visiting my mother and my family. We were only there to sleep and run but the experience was wonderful. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I will definitely stay there when I go back to NY.

It was very easy to get to, close to the beach, and the bed was very comfortable.

This hotel by far exceeded my expectations. As a business traveler who is loyal to Marriott and Hilton properties i found this hotel to be a great value and find in the long island region.

...because you might not see the flaws that emerge after a few days. I stayed for four nights on business and while the room was comfortable, there were a number of issues that make me wonder if I truly will stay again. 1. Piece of candy wrapper on floor when I checked in. Not picked up for two days. 2. Toilet flushing took (literally) 15 seconds. 3. Not hot water in shower 2/4 mornings. 4. In-room fridge died. I had food in it that went bad and had to go out and replace. 5. Maids didn't replace towels the first night. They took the one I left on the shower (so as not to waste water per their "environmental" program) and the ones I left on the floor to clean and never replaced them. 6. Bagels at Continental breakfast stale all four mornings. IThis takes a special kind of talent. It's clear they're buying day-old.) 7. Maids turn off air conditioner during the day. (I turned it to low fan to keep the room cool. I came back, it was off and warm in the room.) 8. Whirlpool not working and no sign on door as to reason. Also, no indication at check-in. 9. In a five-story hotel, ice machine not working on my floor, no ice machine on the floor below, which meant a two story trip for ice. Come to think of it, I probably won't stay here again. I've stayed here in the past, and it wasn't as bad. They've changed to Wingate by Windham, but while it appears that this is a change meant to indicate a higher level of service, the opposite is true. Considering the price, (approx. 165/night including tax), I was pretty disappointed.

Business trip so didn't spend much time in the room but when I was there it was quite and peaceful. I have stayed here once before and it definitely won't be my last. The Wingate by Wyndham is a bargain for the price considering the quality of the rooms and the service you receive from the staff.

Spacious room, and well organized Light switches were a bit too far from the bed. Good place.

First of all when I arrived there was no one at the front desk for ten minutes!!! the hall smelled like smoke, it was awful I would have stayed elsewhere but it was too lake for me to look for another place to stay. Secondly, I left my cell phone plugged into the wall in my room, I called to advise I had left my cell phone plugged into the wall, they acted like it was no big deal, I was told the head housekeeper would call me after she looked in the lost and found items, NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK, I repeatedly called for three days, everytime I called I was told a different story, I finally called their corporate headquarters, they also did nothing, on my last call to them I was advised that the head housekeeper doesn't speak English!! How do these people communicate with their employees???? Another bad thing about this place, it's pitch dark outside no lights in the parking lot!!!! I travel a lot on business, I will never stay in any of their hotels EVER!!!!!

The hotel appears to be trying to operate on the cheap. The fitted sheet on the bed was very skimpy, resulting in it coming undone during the night causing us to sleep directly on the matress. A most uncomfortable experience. After the first night, we complained at the front desk. The result was that nothing was done about the problem. The upholstered furniture in the room was badly stained in several places. There were tissues only in the bathroom, not in the sleeping area.Their brochure offered a hot breakfast. There was only cold food, unless you count toast.

I only stayed one night, but it was clean, no problems with the room and the free wifi internet was easy to access. Would stay there again if I was in the area.

Very good hotel - clean, comfortable, and looks quite new inside and out. The staff was friendly and helpful - I was in town for a job interview and they helped me out with directions to the train station so I could spend my evening in New York City which was great. Good breakfast, Internet access, and great room - the mini-fridge was a great touch. Highly recommended!

It was a great. Nice clean comfy spacious room, free breakfast, TV, fridge etc. Our fridge broke. Honestly could not believe what a nice hotel I was staying. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was huge, and had jets in the bathtub, and it was spotless. Easy check-in and check-out and free breakfast in the morning.

The staff was friendly, that was my first prompt to go there. It was clean, and we got fresh towels every day. The breakfast was great and saved money. The fitness room needs to be deodorized however/smelly. The staffm was good to us and we appreciated it.We considered it a very nice place to stay and the price was right. Thank you for all your help.

Someone tried to enter my room at 4 pm while I was napping but the extra locks prevented entry. A call to the front desk resulted in a reply that it was probably someone checking the rooms after cleaning.
