The Windsor Suites is an all-suite property, located in the middle of downtown Philadelphia. All rooms are either a studio suite- large room with full kitchen and eating area, or a one bedroom suite- a large two room apartment featuring a private bedroom, with a living room and full kitchen. All kitchens feature full sized refrigerators, stoves with ovens, microwaves, dishwasher and disposal, in addition to cookware and dinnerware. All rooms feature complimentary HSIA, and access to onsite laundry machines. Some rooms feature balconies overlooking the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

A 24 hour access to our fitness centre and access to our seasonal rooftop swimming pool are some of the complimentary perks of The Windsor Suites.

From the airport:
By Taxi - current flat rate is $29 one way.
By Shuttle - available at the airport’s baggage terminal. Cost is $10 per person one way.
By Train - Septa R1 from the airport to Suburban Station, 1 and a half blocks away.

Hotel rooms and service was very good overall. Access to car was excellent, price for rooms was very good, did not eat in retaurant, do not care for Asian food. Staff very helpful and polite. Internet service in room not very good. Would highly recommend for large family or group traveling to see sights in Philadelphia. We chose for closeness to hospital for family member that was having procedure done. We had been there before, and liked it so we chose to stay again.

The hotel was perfectly located, the staff was wonderful, the room enormous. But: we were in a non-renovated room that had practically zero hot water. The engineers came a few times (promptly) and were unable to fix it. We got $50 off the bill for our inconvenience. Be sure to request a renovated room OR check the hot water immediately when you get into the room before you unpack.

This hotel was perfect for us - two adults and two teens. It had a kitchen which was very handy. Also, a continental breakfast to get us going each morning. One odd thing to me was that I went down to the bar to get a couple of glasses of wine to bring up to the room. This was not permitted. I could not determine if this is a state/city law or a policy of the hotel.

I stayed at Windsor Suites, Philadelphia, PA. and checked in Jan., 2008 an unfortunately I checked out 2 days later (suppose to be a 5 day business trip) because of problems at this hotel. On Tuesday night I returned to my room to find the door to my hotel room ajar (propped open). I immediately told the front desk. They did not check the room but just said “Sorry”. No offer of compensation was made. I asked to speak to a manager the font desk told me no manager was on duty except her who was a supervisor. She could not do any thing. I would have to talk to James Brown the general manager in the morning. The front desk called me latter that night again said sorry and explained that it was a senior house keeper. They were upgrading the dishware and the housekeeping supervisor is the one who left your door open. It was not done in normal cleaning. I was given the assurance this would not happen again. No compensation offered. It is hotel policy not to put night chain or flip lock on the door. The manager said they do not have them but if I wanted one he would install one. He did have one installed on my door right away. But would not and did not see any need to compensate me for the lack of security in the building and screw up by your staff. In the room it says 100% customer satisfaction guaranteed. One of my other business associates has a dead bolt on his door that does not work. He has no way to properly lock his room. He told the front desk the first night and it is still not fixed after 5 days. My other business friend does not have a lock on his sliding class door. Another business associates had his roof leak because of the old leaky and rusted out pipes in the building. The walls are paper thin. I can hear every word of both my neighbors’ telephone conversations. I have tried to contact the management company that owns the hotel but they too do not see the need to respond. This is the cheapest hotel around and the hotel don’t care what people think because they know because of the price many other people who will fill the vacancies. I always say you get what you pay for. This was not my choice of hotels. I will not stay in Windsor Suites again for any reason. I have moved out to another hotel which is much better. I just looked online for reviews of the hotel and they were not glowing, that’s for sure. Other people online have had various problems as well with the Windsor Suites as well. Now the management is trying to blame the whole thing on me.

We visited the Windsor Suites for our Honeymoon and could not have been more pleased. The room was very clean, and besides a small problem with the closet door, it was trouble free. The Front desk was always helpful when we had any questions about where to eat, or what to do in the city, and the two free computers in the lobby for internet were a wonderful help when we wanted to do a quick email check during our otherwise computer-less vacation. The Museum of Art, and the the Historic and shopping districts were within 5-15 blocks of the hotel, so we walked everywhere.

Suites were with large rooms with kitchenette. Large, nicely appointed rooms at a very reasonable price and in a premium location in downtown Philadelphia.

We choose to stay here because we thought it would be safe. We are from a small town and crime is almost non-existant. We had $800.00, a check book, and about $20.00 worth of stamps along with rental car papers and e-tickets for our flight taken from a suitcase. There were notes left all around the room stating not to leave valuables which leads us to believe they have had problems with this before. Make sure to use the room safe if one is available. The room was a suite which would be great if you are staying there for more than a couple of nights. It was clean and we felt safe. I guess maybe too safe!! Staff was friendly and helpful in helping us find places of interest.

Atrocious! The pictures looked great and the room price was comparable to others in the area. We reserved a suite with 2 double beds and a sofa, when we arrived, they gave us a room with 1 bed; we specifically booked with 5 people. We went back to the front desk and they then gave us a room with 2 double beds....again not enough space for a familt our size. When we entered the room, it was obvious that the mattresses had not been updated in years as the body indentations in the mattresses were visible through the bed spread. Just when we thought it could not get worse, we went into the kitchenette, and it smelled. The cupboards were broken. In addition, there was wall paper pulled off the wall! We checked out the same day and checked into another hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

They did move us to a high floor. Hotel was in less then good condition. Could not adjust the room temperature. Jack hammering during the day time-spouse got a headache.

I am a single, female business traveler with quite a few Philadelphia stays in my history. This hotel has to be one of the best kept secrets in Philadelphia! First off, you just can't beat the location; if you are doing the historical sites or have business in center city, the location is terrific. If you are doing business/visiting in any of the suburbs or across the river in Camden, you are right off the Parkway, with easy access and no major amount of "in the city" driving. You are in the same neighborhood with other higher priced hotels, but you paying a better rate. You are also about 1 block from Suburban Station, which means a $7.00 train ride directly from the airport and easy access to just about any place in the city. True, it's an older building but compared to most city hotel rooms, the room is 2 or 3 times larger than usual and comes with a fully equipped kitchenette. As a single lady, there are times when I would rather prepare something to stay "home" and you could do that here. The staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful. There is a small "business center" with computers and printers to use. The free breakfast wasn't spectacular but was sufficient. There is a super stand-alone Chinese restaurant just off the lobby inside the front doors; the Italian restaurant was gone. Although the furniture had a bit of wear, the mattress appeared to be new and comfortable. The room was well-kept and clean. Security involved elevators that will not open without a key card being swiped. Some floors are apparently reserved for full-time residents, which means that there are fewer hotel guests than most places, so less foot traffic.

Lots of space in the hotel room...theres even a walk in closet where you can dress up for privacy. Two restaurants in the lobby of the hotel with a TGIF next door. Its right in front of the trolley stop if you plan to take it and is halfway between the Philadelphia Museum of Art and City Hall with the Franklin Science Institute, Rodin Museum, Basilica in between - all walking distance so don't have to take out your car from valet parking (31 a day). Hotel needs some work coz the tub would clog up when taking showers. Engineering came quick though to fix it but they had to come twice coz it clogged again. For the price, its a great hotel. Will stay again if could not find another hotel with similar price with the same kitchen facility. Just hoping to get a room with a tub that does not clog.

Location and very friendly staff. It smelled bad, was out of date and the bathroom and kitchen area were not useful. This hotel is not very clean. It had a bad smell, the windows were dirty, the restaurant closed way too early for a business traveler. The bedding was old, including the mattress and the lack of electrical outlets was a problem. Also, there is no wireless internet. The staff was very friendly!

We stayed at this hotel because we were going on a cruise. However, I would return again with no hesitation. The location is great. You are only one block from the Philly Phlash. This is a trolley that goes around the downtown area. You can get on and off all day. It is a deal. The hotel elevator can only be accessed if you have a room card. Great safety feature. The bathrooms have been refurbished. There is a kitchen area that will cut down on costs if you are traveling with a family. The breakfast fare is the usual waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, bread, but the area is kept clean and well staffed. It is a good hotel for the price. Also, there is a Chinese restaurant next door and a bar with sandwiches/burgers two doors away.

Nice hotel with very large room. Plenty of closet space with in room safe for valuables. Kitchen was more than adequate with stove, full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee maker. Room comes with plenty of silverware, glasses, and cookware. Beds were comfortable and plenty of room to move around the room without stepping on each other. Try to ask for higher floor for great city views. Pool was very well maintained on the roof top. Easy access to most tourist spots. Phlash bus stop right outside of hotel was great to use as we hit key areas and neighborhoods. Free breakfast in lower level lobby was great. Make your own waffles and offers plenty of cereal variety, yogurt, apples, and muffins. Also, bagels, english muffins, and bread waiting to be toasted. Fresh coffee and apple and orange juice and ice water. Hotel staff was very frienldy and helpful. Hotel has free wifi but did not have to use it as the business center has two computers for guest use so was able to check emails. Plenty of vending machines in the guest amenitiy area adjacent to the front desk and also has a nice size game room for the kids. Parking garage is connected to the hotel and just bring your parking ticket to the front desk upon check in and it is automatically charged to your room. Parking garage has in/out privilges but you really won't need your car as Philly is one of the easiest cities to walk around. City is very well marked for walkers. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Great location with large rooms and balconies. I recommend The Windsor Suites to anyone traveling to Downtown Philly. It's a great value for the accommodations. The hotel offers balconies for the suites along with a kitchen area and large living areas. The Appliances and some fixtures are dated but the other accommodations make up for it. The rooms are very, very clean and they offer WIFI throughout the hotel.

It was a wonderful room with a magnificent view of Philadelphia. I had no problems checking in/out. The staff was very kind and helpful. Parking my car was a breeze as well. I would definately stay there again.
