on the surface looks ok, but not very clean, service is not at all good, some staff extremely rude, staying here ruined an otherwise fabulous trip. Breakfast was cheap produce kept warm in a self service area, i would not recommend this hotel or stay here again

I would definitely stay againWhites Hotel was excellent value for money, very very clean and the staff were really helpful. I was shocked at how much value I got for my money actually. I would definitely stay here again and any time I go to Newcastle. Thank you. Andrea

The hotel is one of several in the road that have a lively night life, so don't expect peace and quiet. It also seems to attract stag and hen night parties so the company at breakfast can be entertaining. Our bed was exceedingly uncomfortable and noisy so if the revellers don't wake you the bed will. Other than that it was OK.

Great Budget OptionWhites offers fairly basic accommodation but at a fair price and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay there again.

This is not a two star hotel.The things in the room is poor and as I know got a star hotel at least should have particular room size and freeze. Alsos, this hotel is not exactly 20min from city centre, is more than that. So, I felt this hotel information is dishonest.

This hotel has extremely small rooms with dirty floors and bathrooms. The bed with had was not a double even though we did book a double room we both only just fitted in the bed, which im sure was crawling with flees as i spent all night scratching my legs. Would not recommend to anyone even if they were desperate

student weekend type of hotelthis hotel is perfect for a lads weekend. hotel is good value and also has a good boozer joined onto it that u can enjoy until u head into town. taxi from jesmond is about 7 pounds into town . i will go back no problem

Decor The decor of the room was finished to a poor standard. Wallcoverings and minor fittings looked very tired and are need of some proper investment.

Well, what bdo you expect for £34 pn. This is better than the Osborne or Carlton, but worse than the Dene, all nearby

I was surprised at how pleasant my stay was, I've stayed in hotels which are 3* yet not as nice as this supposed 2* hotel. Accomodation was great, no problems whatsoever, friendly and helpful staff, exactly what I was after! Will definitely be staying again.

The map to show where the hotel is, is not accurate. It is further away from city centre than it shows. That disappointed me. Also, make sure you request a room away from the resturaunt/ bar so that the noise is not a problem. The people were great and the place was quaint.
