Excellent value for money.I would stay again but would probably pay extra and request a room at the front of the hotel with a seaview.All in all though was a pleaseant stay ,dinner was lovely and very reasonably priced & breakfast alone was worth the £25 i paid for an overnight stay for 2 people.Bargain!

Cosy and genuine, rather than pretentiousA wonderful location, and pleasant and efficient staff. The 19th century associations of the old village are entrancing. The terrace heaters are a natty idea.

There was noone at the reception to greet us. Our room was not ready despite our having intimated them of our arrival time. Our room was dirty even when we checked after waiting for an hour. The bathroom was not very clean.Other than that, the staff was polite and courteous. The room was good value for money, the beds were comfortable, towels and linen were clean, breakfast was good.Given a choice I would consider staying there again but would ensure that the rooms are clean and ready when we arrive.

excellent hotel for a relaxing breakfriendly clean hotel, very helpful staff, right on cliff top wonderful views and walks, near to brighton, we took the bus stops outside hotel also took the bus to beachy head again from outside the hotel. lovely old pubs in village, i would recommend to anyone, thank you for a wonderful break

Nostalgia experience by the seaThis hotel is excellent for a weekend break or a traditional seaside holiday. the staff are helpful and friendly . many of the rooms look out to sea with a balcony as well. Prices are good value for money and the beds are excellent.

Mayday BH 2009No major complaints. Excellent Breakfast. Room of decent quality. Excellent value for money. A short bus ride into Brighton. Parking on site which isn't always available in Brighton. Staff perhaps not quite as friendly as some places, but maybe this is symptomatic of the hotel being part of a chain. Well worth a stay for those on a budget.

the building is in dire need of redecoration but the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Excellent location

The staff couldn't have been more friendly, the food was excellent and the room was lovely with a sea view - had it been a little warmer out I'm sure that we would have made use of the balcony. The only downside with the room was that it was a little on the warm side at night and we were unable to open a little window to let some fresh air in.

Fantastic room good size balcony great sea view. A radio/alarm would be nice in the room along with a box of tissues and biscuits to eat with my cup of coffee. Food great but served on cold plates.

Great location, poor Manitenance and very poor cleaning of room and hotel in general, shame. they say rooms have had a refit, but on my first visit here i throught they need a refit! ooppss! No wi-fi, Tv poor, chanels all over the place! staff nice and helpfull,

My wife and I enjoyed a Fantastic weekend and would recomend this hotel to anyone who wanted a break away, Rottingdean is lovely town and brighton is only 3 miles away. We will definately be visiting again soon.

Large sea front pub outside Brighton. Quiet, but weather poor. Room was on road side but very few rooms occupied.

Hotel was comfortable and the ambience in the bar good. Food was very good and very generous portions.

Not cheap, but was good VFM. Room overlooked the sea and was really warm despite it being -4 outside!. Single bed (as booked) was small however. I had booked an evening meal for 8 of us and the food was poor to be honest. Service pleasant and acceptable. I must allow for the fact that a large private party was also on, but the main dining room was not that busy. However breakfast was fantastic and made up for the dissapointing meal, so have scored 3. Great location. ps full size ironing board and safe, but no bloomin hair dryer.
