Restaurants
The traditional cuisine of Bansko is widely known and liked in Bulgaria. There are numerous taverns in Bansko located almost at every corner. With unique charm and style they offer local cuisine and a good selection of Bulgarian wines. Live music is also available at some places. Some of the most famous restaurants include ‘Dedo Pene’, ‘Motikata’, ‘Molerova Kushta’ and ‘Lovna Sreshta’.

Wine tasting
Why are Bulgarian wines so praised? You can discover the reason for its popularity with a wine tasting evening in Bansko! An oenologist will present a fine selection of wines from all over Bulgaria, while narrating legends about wine production from ancient times. You will have the opportunity to learn about the art of wine tasting and basic techniques involved. The White Fir Resort team will help you to organize wine tasting at a mehana with a wine cellar in the Bansko region.

Churches and Monasteries
One of the most interesting places to visit in the region is in Dobursko - the church “St. st. Teodosii Tiron and Teodor Stratilat” built back in 1614. Famous for the icon “Jesus Christ in a rocket”, the church visit can not go without the folklore group of Doburski Babi. These enthusiastic and energetic women, aged 50-75, welcome the visitors into the church yard according to the old Bulgarian tradition with zdravec, bread and salt. The Doburski babi present local songs and rituals dressed in traditional Bulgarian costumes. We could organize, for your family, group of friends or corporate event, a visit to the old church and a folklore demonstration by the famous Dobarski Babi.

The Church of Virgin Mary in the town of Bansko is famous for its iconostasis. It is one of the finest examples of old church woodcarving with motifs taken from the plant world.

The most impressive church in construction and size is the Church of Holy Trinity. It was built in 1853 and the big icons inside are remarkable.
Rila Monastery is the biggest and most famous Bulgarian monastery. Resembling a fortress from the outside, it is located 60 km to the North from White Fir Resort and is surrounded by thick pine forests. The monastery is protected under the aegis of UNESCO.

Pirin National Park
Extending over an area of 27,400 ha and lying at an altitude of 1,008–2,914 m in the Pirin mountains, Pirin National Park has a limestone Balkan landscape, with lakes, waterfalls, caves and pine forests. The rugged mountains, with some 70 glacial lakes scattered throughout them, are home to hundreds of rare species. The mountains have also diverse and unique landscapes of great aesthetic value. Pirin National Park is one of the two natural sites in Bulgaria protected under the aegis of UNESCO.

Mountain chalets
If you like hiking or mountain biking, Pirin Mountain offers a great variety of possibilities. You will be warmly welcomed at the mountain chalets near White Fir Resort. Marked tracks will lead you to Vihren (1,950m), Yavorov (1,740m), Demianitza (1,895m) and Gotze Delchev (1,450m) chalets.

White Fir Resort organizes multiple activities such as fishing, hiking, biking and horse back riding, as well as snow mobile and quad bike (ATV) rides, depending on the season. You can enjoy excursions to Greece, wine tasting in the ancient town of Melnik or visit Rila Monastery – the largest and most important monastery in Bulgaria.
