| the room itself was fine for a lower rent hotel, bed was comfortable, staff was friendly, service was fine at front desk until i complained about the horrible noise of construction in the lower floor of the hotel and the attached building, they smiled and said they were sorry but would not move me to the other side of the hotel. I offered to pay the extra for the ocean view but was told it was sold out even tho the maid on my floor said there were open rooms on all floors on the ocean side. the hotel construction was loud all day as a machine was busting rock out of the mountian behind the hotel 10 hours a day, so every morning i was awakened by noises form the rock smasher at 8 am, and it continued all day until 6 pm, i tried ear plugs to no avail, i could not hear the the t v, i was disappointed that i was not notified of that b 4 i booked the hotel, no one should stay on the back side of this hotel until it is finished with the construction!!!even the transfer driver told me it was so bad b cause the mountian blocks the sound and forces it into the hotel which can not have any sound proofing as the back windows are luvered wood, not glass. |
