I have loved Westward Look for years and last year a corporation bought it. They took a sledge hammer to the custom tile and hand painted sinks and replaced them with cheap faux corian. They made my guests and I wear wrist bands to use the facilities. I feel the quality has dropped. I could go on and on, garbage under the balcony, hooks fall off the wall, cheap faux leather and light weight cheap faux wicker pool furniture. Just a shame, another historic treasure bites the dust under corporate rule. Sad.

Beautiful setting and landscaping. Additional $12 charge for facilities upon arrival! Very unfair. Location a little far from town.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at this resort. The upgraded room was very large and comfortable, had a balcony with chairs and a great view. The staff were all friendly, accommodating and made our stay great. We enjoyed the workout facility, the spa, the walking paths the pool and the restaurant. We definitely will return.

I used the hot tub and pool, properties hiking trails. I liked that the resort had labeled the plant life throughout the property.The Lookout Bar and Grills staff is rather slow. Food was VERY good. Three of the times I had gone there to eat or just sit and have a drink: the staff tended to overlook me as I was either reading or sitting alone. I recieved several looks but 5 to 10 minutes had passed before I was approached. Unacceptable in my opinion.

Beautiful desert resort, beautiful grounds and facilities. The coffee maker in room did not work and was not repaired in the three days I was there. A five star resort, beautiful grounds and facilities, down to a real fitness center with lap pool, nice tennis courts, and nature trails in the rural desert area. A great pool with an outdoor bar, a fantastic restaurant and lounge. The room was luxurious and well appointed, staff is all friendly and helpful. A great value for the money.

The Westward Look provided all the amenties they advertised. The room, food, pools, etc. made for a wonderful 6 day stay. We would go back again!

Beautiful setting and sceneary. Restaurant has a fantastic view. Room were well appointed but has a couple of maintenance issues.

Great friendly staff - efficient and quick. Don't know if they are in the middle of remodeling or not. Easy to get to. Fast and efficient front desk staff. The room was large but not what I would call a suite. 7' mirror propped against a wall. Looked like there was a deal on small fridges and put into the room. Large shower with tiny shelf. Looked like there had been a tub installed, pulled out and the towel bars left as a grab bar(s). Would I try it again – yes.

Tucked away with great desert views. Gold resturant was too expensive for us. Room was excellent and quite. You can tell it was newly remodeled. My husband liked the big TV. Overall a great resort and would go back with family.

Just got back from a few days between Xmas and New Year's. This was a very nice and relaxing place - a great alternative to the corporate chain hotels. Our large room (more like a junior suite) had obviously been recently updated - great bed, new furniture and decor, large bath and vanity, 42" plasma TV, etc - hated to leave. The public areas included three smaller pools, and were low key but nice - no waterslides full of kids. Pleasant walking path with desert landscape surrounded the grounds. We did not eat at the hotel, but the restaurant was attractive with a nice view of downtown Tucson and Catalina mountains, and seemed reasonably priced. The 'business center' consists of only two computers and printer, but they are free. My only gripe is that the fitness center was pretty limited. Not a La Paloma or Ventana - it's not that kind of hotel - but overall a very good value, and will definitely will go back when in need of some relaxing downtime.

Older, but well updated resort hotel. Intensive refurbishing and updating going on, but many rooms and main facilities already completed. Well maintained grounds. Help is quite friendly and works to please. A good value when booked thru Travelocity. Wife had the full spa treatment and thoroughly enjoyed it, thought the providers were professional and knowledgeable and thought the prices were not extravagant Would stay there again.

This is the 4th time I have stayed in this hotel, I look forwards to many more. I visited friends, hiked Sabino Canyon, swam, shopped and had wonderful meals both at the hotel and the surrounding area. I find it a very centrally located hotel; as you can see I like it very much.
