Years ago this hotel was top notch. Now days it is not updated. It was our anniversary and we were staying only one night. We got into the hotel around 10 PM after a romantic dinner, room was hot and just assumed we could turn air down and it would cool off. Air sounded like it was on but the whole night we had no air condition, the whole floor did not have air. We were in the Crown Suite for our anniversary and it was the worst experience ever! Asked for a fan, hotel did not have one. Took cold showers just to keep cool throughout the night. Left that next morning, hotel offered a free breakfast and we said absolutely not. Hotel offered some points with Starwood we took that but it does not even cover half a night free.

Disappointing. I always thought of Westin hotels as high end, but this was either a very poor example or they've gone downhill.

The room was quite comfortable with the regular features you would expect in such a hotel. But it does not have wireless internet which was a big drawback. Also, the hotel chagred me again for the room after paying for it through travelocity. The guy at the baggage check area did not seem to want to help until you accosted him. That part was frustrating.

Expected 4 stars and found 3 stars at best. Limited free parking and expensive ticketed parking. Carpets/rooms are old and outdated. Pool was not attractive at all. Rooms were clean and quiet, bed and pillows were amazing. Location is the best for leisure and shopping since it's located at the Galleria Mall.

Great location. Nice to have shopping mall attached. No workout room is a miss on Weston's part and the small facility available is not big enough to service hotels of this size. Otherwise it was a good option.

Room clean, bed comfortable. Free parking availability limited by mall usage, valet parking of $25/day excessive. Access to mall convenient.

Excellent in every way. Would stay over and over again. Loved being attache to the Galleria mall as having teenagers made them a happy traveler as well.

Although this particular hotel was definitely at the lower end of the four start rating system. This hotel needs updating.

Very pleasant stay, the hotel is great. Very convenient to down town, convention center, stadiums, etc.

Overall stay was good. Not worth the price we paid, though, unless the hotel gets badly needed paint on walls/carpeting/trim paint, etc. Also one day housekeeping just decided not too show up. And they gave us credit card issues at check in saying my card would not work, when everything was fine with it. We used it all through the mall, but for some reason, the hotel kept saying it wouldn't work. Finally, they said everything was fine. Staff was nice, but somewhat confused both with the credit card issue and with the room service.

This hotel is one of the first built in the galleria area about 40 years ago and is showing it's age. Now that all rooms are non smoking, hotel needs to update previously smoking rooms, such as ours, to remove burn holes in upholstery and stains on furniture and carpet. At check in, we were told only queens were available. When asked about a king, we were offered one next to the elevators, which we took. Room was very quiet never heard the elevator once. We appreciated ample supply of wall street journals and Houston chronicle in lobby, as well as fresh fruit, but pears were hard as a rock.

This hotel was out dated and for the price I paid, I have stayed in nicer hotels. It was rather disappointing. I over paid.

I wasn't there long enough to see much of the hotel. But I had two problems- they nickel-and-dime you to death (internet access costs extra, a stinking bottle of water is $3.00, etc) and I was not able to extend my stay at the same price.

The hotel is very clean, the staff is great; especially the valet, and overall the atmosphere was wonderful. I will definitely return.
