I will say that the Hotel manager really tried to help us out during our stay. We arrived and our room had some dead cockroaches on the floor. They moved us to another room. I did not like the lady that was working the front the night that we checked in. She was rude and not very helpful. I went back to the front desk to let them know about the cockroaches, before she even talked to me, she gave me a p-off look (with eye rolling) as I approached the front desk. We rent a cabana both days at the pool. We expected to receive a little extra service, but we did not. The waiter at the pool ignored us for most of the afternoon. I even tried, in a nice manner, to get his attention, but he completely blew us off. I would not stay that this hotel again and I would not recommend anyone to stay at this place.

The slide at the pool. Restaurant closes very early.

We are a family of four and stayed quite comfortably in a 1 bedroom villa, with a nice patio. Felt very safe with gate and attendant. Cooked many meals in well stocked kitchenette. The heavenly bed was very comfortable. Grounds are park like, immaculate and relaxing. Used BBQ close to our room, but many rooms had a BBQ on balcony. The villa pool has a larger slide for older children than the hotel pool slide, which is better for smaller children. We primarily stayed at the villa pool and enjoyed the volleyball, basketball hoop, table tennis and billiard table. We took the shuttle to enjoy both pools. There were different activities for the kids ie: slide contest, hoop throwing, "Wi" contest. The Westin Mission Hills is conveniently located, a Super Wallmart, Costco, Pavillions, casino and movie theater are close by. With the time change, being darker sooner, we took DVDs from home for us to watch. We enjoyed our stay so much, that we stayed an extra night.

hotel is great but rooms are not too clean (found a roach when we stepped in) and front desk staff was not too cooperative. Got used shampoo bottles and 2 towels for family of four... Hate the 10 am check out.

The bathroom had loose tiles the grout was missing, the sink was cracked and stained. Felt unsafe going into room because of lights out on the wlkway into our alcove.

We love the Westin, we come here several times a year. This was your first time during spring break and it was busier than ever. Also we were not able to get the 1st floor room we requested, so we may rethink coming out during this time again. Besides those two issues, we loved everything else. Golf, tennis, putting course (by bldgs. 42 - 44), bocce ball, walking/running trails, biking, swimming, water basketball, ping pong and pool tables at swimming pool, etc. Lots of things to do with or without kids.

Very nice place for families, particularly with younger children.

This is a low rise, beautifully laid out resort that isn't touristy. It has a lot of families who bring their own food or bbq. It isn't great for teenagers - the JW Marriott is the hot spot for those but this resort has things to do around the pool such as ping pong, a pool table, basketball, volleyball and the slides. It is especially pretty to walk along the resort at night.

Everything we needed was in the room. People upstairs were a little noisy - kids.

No newspapers for the room and hard to get at the pay machines, out of papers early each day.

the westin in rancho mirage is a perfect place for the whole family because they offer all the comforts of home with thier resort villas. we stayed twice here and my kids and wife love it they offer 3 pools one for the kids one for the adults and a slide pool which is a fun experience. the staff is very friendly and when you stay at the westin you feel like your in paradise. plus there is a casino less than 5 minutes away if thats your thing (the casino is the agua caliente) there are also lots of shops within driving distance. this place is truly a great way to relax and unwine.

Clean. We were extremely disappointed in this hotel. It was the Westin Villas, which is the time share for the Westin. We would absolutely not rate this as a four star hotel. There was no spa, and the pool was very far away. All the restaurants were at the other hotel, which you had to drive to!
