Great outdoors location, pleasant patio

The pool was great for the kids/family. Additional charge upon checkout per room.

Nice rooms, spa was comfortable. Pool is below average for a Westin. Close to the casino. Not a hotel in the normal sense, each building is a set of 5 room villas. Worst part about this was NO elevator to the second floor. Pack light.

July, 2008
Upon entry, room smelled bad. Advertised refridgorator, had to order twice to get it. Arived 1/2 size as normal. Room set to 65 but only got to 80. 50 min for repair, finally ordered fan. Waited 35 more minutes.Said it would be there in 10. Left and went to pool.Left note to put fan in rm. Got to pool they asked for wrist band. Front desk never gave us. went & got band, came back to pool & 1/2 the guests had no band. Internet went out. Said 10-15 min for repair. 45 min later service went back on & service tec arrived 3 min later. Cocktail waitress at pool asked us about drinks every 10 min. Quit annoying while trying to get some R&R. No cell service. Slightly in the middle of nowhere. Rm not as clean as other Westins. Plug in bathroom dangerously loose. Refurbishing hotel. Very noisy on Friday morning. On Saturday, painter came in guest ice room and filled his dirty 5 gal paint bucket taking all the ice. House keeper directed him to ice. The flip side is Staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful. Pools are great with slide for kids. Fruit infused water stations all about the property. Rooms are oversized. Landscaping ful of ponds, ducks, and waterfalls.

The Hotel on the outside was lovely. However, we had no air conditioning in our room for most of our stay... The front desk told us that it was normal to have the rooms warm because of the temperature outside being 117 degrees. They must of thought we were idiots, the lobby was FREEZING... they were wearing jackets. I guess the temperature outside did not have an effect on the HUGE LOBBY...... just the small rooms. Then there were the cockroaches... BIG ONES! I took a bath to cool down, only to see a cockroach in my bubbles, and on the carpet later that night. I was discusted. My vacation was not so enjoyable, and the staff was less than accomodating. They made promises they did not keep. Thet told us that they would switch our room, and never made good on it..... It goes on and on.....

This hotel needs better maintenance both in the rooms and on the grounds. The location and grounds in general are very beautiful

Golf course, close proximity to all attractions, staff very helpful. This is our 3rd time staying at this hotel. I liked everything about the hotel. Great accommodations. I highly recommend this resort for family with children. Activities for all family members. Golf course is wonderful. The landscaping is beautiful and well cared for.

The facilities were very nice. We stayed in the Villa's, we enjoyed cooking our own food (I'm on special diet and needed to prepare my own Organic food, so the kitchen was wonderful). The heavenly bed was the best bed we've had at a hotel, it really was heavenly. We will definetly stay again.

As soon as you walk in to this Resort you feel like you are in paradise!

Room is very spacious. AC took a while to cool the room down. Huge room & bathroom, both were nicely decorated.

Main pool area is fairly attractive, but it gets boozy on the weekends vs. the weekdays (many people ordering hard liquor BEFORE 11:00 AM Saturday morning so you can guess what 3:00PM is like!). If you are traveling with children or are not a fan of raucous drinkers, you might want to look elsewhere for weekend or holiday stays. Grounds are a plus. Dining is adequate, but not remarkable. Outside dining is pleasant in terms of atmosphere. Staff attitude needs improvement in all areas. They allow dogs, including dogs that bark non-stop. Apparently there is nothing the staff can do to stop dogs barking, so if your neighbor has a "yapper-dog" and you don't like hearing dogs bark all day and all NIGHT, that is YOUR problem. Walls seem to have little to no sound insulation. If you have an annoying, untrained dog and have received warnings from other hotels about disturbing other guests, than THIS is your hotel. If you like peace and quiet and the ability to sleep, then you might look elsewhere. Rooms could be cleaner. Fitness equipment has free weights, a bonus for fitness buffs, but overall the equipment is in need of repair and replacement. Be aware that the weights are OUTSIDE, so you'll have a "pleasant" workout in July. Mercifully the cardio equipment is inside. Either the staff is overwhelmed or this Westin location has embarked on a plan to weed out customers with moderate to high expectations, because those types of customers won't be returning.

We were unhappy with this Resort. They tried to overcharge us, which we caught, and had corrected. The tiles in the bathroom were all loose and would tip on one end when you stepped on the other. I think it was about 115 degrees when we checked in - our room was on the second floor - and a bellman was supposed to come and help carry our luggage up - he never came, so we struggled it up ourselves. The room itself was ok - kind of on the dark and dreary side.

Loved the lady, who checked us in upon arrival. Also, the man who carried our luggage to the second floor was FABULOUS and extremely nice. Happy Hour menu items not available all night. We received the best of everything at the restaurants. Enjoyed the food delivery to the adult pool too. Great overall experience and others joined us in their own rooms and we all had a blast. We decided to get away once a month and know that The Westin will be considered every time.

We booked 3 rooms via Travel agency. When we tried to call ahead to get them to be near each other, the hotel front desk and Travel agency pointed to each other, and we had to wait till check-in to get this ironed out. So if you have special requirements, book with Westin directly. The hotel grounds, pools, and restaurant are very nice. They re-did the lobby and beds 2-3 years ago which look and feel good. But the 16+ years of wear shows everywhere in the room. Chips in the bathtubs, shabby, stained furniture, loose tile in the bathroom, the list is long. We stayed in building 4, which is apparently one of the older ones.

The Wession Resort & Spa was very plush. The room was excellent, the bed was unbeliveble it was so comtable. The only thing that could have made it better is if they had a shuttle to and from the hotel.

Staff was really friendly, and was upgraded to a suite. Some areas around the pool were dirty, water a little cloudy.

From the check in process, to the poolside staff, to the buffet manager - everyone was extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. It made our stay even more enjoyable.

The beds. Our stay at the Westin Resort was very relaxing.

Truly awful stay, dirty rooms, badly organised pool area and the worst hotel staff I have ever come across. All levels of staff and management rude and unhelpful. Would not stay here again at any price.
