The Westin was a nice resort in regards of looks. Location is away from everything so you have to rent a car or take a beating on taxi fares. I've been to Mexico four times and this is the first hotel with no taxi shuttle. The resort was a graveyard, no activities, one outside bar that closed at 6pm. 15 dollars for a maragarita. The listing states 5 restaurants, more like 2. The rest were closed or only open for one meal.If you like swimming or playing in the ocean, poor hotel. Black flags the whole week.To many steps, hills, etc. Next time I will stay in downtown Cabo San Lucas. Hotel listing is very decieving.

Fitness center. Expensive food and beverage. The hotel is very attractive and well maintained for being built in 1994. Food and beverage is very expensive. Two business groups were at the hotel during our stay and some normal pool locations were closed to the general population. The fitness center had quality tread mills and machines.

This property was everything I expected and possibly more. The views are spectacular -- every room in the West Tower faces the water. We saw whales frolicing every day(late December) We had a Royal Beach Club room that included breakfast (standard buffet offerings, tasty but nothing special, good fresh fruit) and evening cocktails that the servers were not stingy with. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious. The pools are just for playing with one reserved for adults with a swim-up bar. Jacuzzi did not work well and not very hot. One drawback might be that the resort is spread out and on a hill so your legs get a workout from Lobby to beach and rooms. Restaurants are OK; pool and beach-side service very good. Fitness Center would be better if open to outside and a stretching area. Staff very friendly and aimed to please even during busy holiday week. Overall expensive but "worth" it -- very relaxing.

I loved this resort and everything it hadto offer. The view from the room was amazing. The pools seemed like you were right in the ocean. I hope to go back soon!

The hotel is 20 min. outside of town so you need to rent a car or take the shuddle. The hotel staff was very friendly and the room was clean. Excellent quiet place to stay and the view was incredible. I recommend going into town to eat. hotel food was ok not the best. I will be back in november to marlin fish and would recommend this hotel again. the beds where very comfortable not hard like the average hotel in mexico.

Phenomenal architecture that blends seamlessly into the surrounding desert landscape. Expensive restaurants. Simply stunning!

Over priced restaurants!! Almost 5 for can of coke. Not enough dining options, goes from too expensive to crazy expensive. 10 watered down margarita. Not a user friendly hotel, difficult to get around, stairs and hills everywhere. Adult pool very dirty. You could see the filth in the water. Very nice views of ocean but not much else.

Never left the hotel. Since it was off-season, the place was practically empty and very quiet and relaxing. Restaurants are great though the hours of business are somewhat limiting. Pool is great. Spa experience was very satisfying.

The bed! The hotel is isolated and the only breakfast available for purchase was a huge $27.00 buffet. Beautiful well maintained hotel.

My wife and I spent a long weekend here. We were not harrased about time-shares, which I gather can be a pain at other resorts. There is some construction going on, but far from the main hotel. Only complaint I would have is that we upgraded from a ""Partial Ocean View"" to a ""Full Ocean View"" and yet still seemed to only have a partial view. Your best bet would be to call ahead and ask for a room ""close to the middle of the arch"".

We stayed here for a week for our honeymoon and had a fabulous time. The hotel is absolutley amazing. The staff was the most helpful of any Westin I have ever stayed at. Words can't describe the views from the room. The room was perfect, the "Heavenly" shower leaves a little to be desired, if you are over 5" tall, be prepared to squat down to shower.. The location is so-so, halfway between San Jose Cabo and Los Cabo. Rent a car unless you want to overpay for shuttle or taxi services. We can't wait to go back!!

Fairly nice rooms. Good pools. Was lied to by a hotel front staff. Food is really bad and too pricy! Overall the hotel is ok. Good pools. Clean rooms that are pretty good. The hotel is located way outside of Cabo San Lucas. The food is really bad and over priced, eat somewhere else.

We were there when Hurricane John hit. The hotel staff treated us like royalty. We have never stayed at a finer resort. Beautiful grounds, pools, views, and excellent service. We recommend this resort for anyone wanting to 'get away from it all'. We'll be back, again, and again, and again!!!

We stayed at the Westin Resort for a week during 6/19-6/25/09 with my fiancée and had a fabulous time! The staffs were friendly and our room was always clean. Every time we'd step out of our room (to the pool or eat), they would make sure your bed is made and towels/tissues are replenished). The temperature of pool was perfect and it was opened late enough for those who liked to hang out by the pool during late hours though one thing I did noticed was that there were never towels around during the evening; so be prepared to bring your own towels from your room. Since there were so many pools, you never have to worry about the pool being too crowded with other people or kids. The lobby area is bit far from the rooms and pool area so you'll always have to hike after you return from the taxi/shuttle. It didn't bother us too much but it would be nice if the entrance is closer to the rooms. We stayed at the partial ocean view deluxe (king size bed) room it was very spacious and the view to the beach/pool/mini golf area was just perfect for us. The only thing that really bothered us was the price of the food. Since it was a 20-25 minutes ride to downtown area, we stayed at the hotel for dinner a couple of nights. The food was a bit expensive for what its worth. Quality of the food was decent but didn't think it was worth $60-$80 per meal per couple (that didn't include appetizers/wine or alcohol yet). So if you were to dine at the hotel a couple of nights (with higher end food), you will be spending a lot of your $$ on food. Might as well take the taxi/shuttle and order lobster/steak in downtown instead. Nevertheless, my fiancée and I had a wonderful time at this hotel we will definitely visit again. (One thing to be caution about stay away from people who will try to lure you into going to timeshare presentations!)

The view from the room was amazing. The hotel was fantastic, exceeded all of my expectations. The views from the rooms was great and the food was wonderful. We had room service come to us because we didn't want to leave our room!

The location of this hotel is spectacular, however right now there is construction going on, which meant listening to jackhammers all day long - every day except Sunday. I wish we had known before we went looking for a peaceful and quiet vacation. There were charges for everything, even 3.50 for awful coffee for the coffeemaker. Make sure to have a car and shop at the Mega in San Jose. Bring your earplugs until the construction is over.

I was in Cabo for a wedding. My hotel stay at the Westin was good overall. I had two fabulous spa services that were discounted 20% thanks to the cheap tickets deal! I've been to more luxe spas all over the world but the therapists here were really good but didn't speak much English.Pools at the hotel were fab. The down side: loads of bees at the swim up bar, loads! You cannot swim at virtually any beaches ever because the waves are too high and surf too rough. The signage to get to the lobby and other places on the property is confusing or non-existent. You have to take 2 elevators to get to the lobby. Every place you want to go is a long walk because the complex is so huge and spread out. They should have golf carts to bring people to different areas of the property. I had a shower pipe break in my bathroom and the staff fixed it immediately and everynight after sent fruit bowls or chocolate bowls to my room as a "sorry for the imposition".

Beautiful hotel and spa. Price of food and drink. The hotel was very nice. You cannot swim on their beach too rough. Far from town $28.00 taxi ride each way into town. Food and drink way overpriced. Drinks $10.00 or more wine $12.00 glass hamburger and fries $17.50 come on we are in Mexico.

The hotel is beautiful and with a great view but the shuttle service with Gray line was terrible, they leave us and even though they give you a phone number for questions they never answer the phone. Taxis are extremely expensive they charge you about 40usd to take you to the marina and another 40 usd to go back to the hotel

Best part of this hotel to me was the location and the food, The hotel is about 20 minutes from town but was nice to get away from the chaos. Although we were provided great service, I felt the staff made it obvious that they did not like their jobs. Great hotel, gorgeous resort and excellent food. I was on vacation with my spouse and another couple. Each and every one of us would agree that the hotel's food was excellent, yet a little expensive. The rooms were kept tidy, and the grounds well maintained. Hotel is located about 20 minutes away from town, but not to far of a cab ride. One downfall was the service, definitely expected more from a Westin. Great hotel, okay service.
