The stay at the hotel was typical of any Westin. The only downfall to this particular hotel was that it only had two elevators that served 19 floors. At times, we had to wait quite a while for it and had the hotel been really busy, it might have been more of a problem. Overall, the hotel is ideally located and adequately met our needs.

Friendly staff, luxurious bedding & comfortable bed. Excellent amenities. Nothing negative. This hotel was very pleasant with a very friendly staff, doormen to meet you at the entrance, luxurious comfortable beds, close to great shopping and restaurants and easy access to public transportation. It had a great ambiance and was very clean and nicely decorated. I would stay there again!

I'm not sure what caused those other reviewers to downgrade the hotel but I was impressed. This was not a typical Westin but felt more like a great little boutique hotel in the downtown area. Everyone, from the doorman, to the front desk clerk to the service staff in the restaurant were most attentive. We both got a great night's sleep and isn't that a big part of why you stay in a hotel? Also, loved the roomy bathroom with separate shower. the design and decor was very pleasant. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The room was small but cozy..comfortable bed and huge, modern bathroom... Location was perfect ,however the parking fee of $29 /day plus valet tips was ridiculous and the idea of an internet fee at $12 a day ( if used in your room)was also an unexpected expense.. so we felt "nickeled and dimed".. It would have been nice to be able to come back to the hotel in the evenings for a drink or dessert , however the bar/restaurant closed at 10pm on the weekdays and 11 pm on weekends. Considering how easy it is to get around Portland , unless money was of no concern, I'd look for a less expensive place to stay...in other words , a bigger bang for my buck.

Great location very nice hotel. This hotel was a great deal for a 4 star hotel from Priceline! It was in a great location close to Pioneer Square and walking distance to lots of Portland's great restaurants. The hotel was very nice, staff was friendly and very attentive.

This was the second time we stayed at Westin. First stay was awesome. However, i think now Westin is slowly loosing its charm. The service was too bad this time. The front end desk was thorough unprofessional and rude. While talking, it seemed as if they were doing some favor to us. I was on my business trip and thought i would be more than happy staying here...but i was wrong!! Its high time westin...grow up!!!!!!!!

We visited the Art Galleries, attended a concert, ate wonderful food, visited the Japanese Gardens and the Rose Garden and ate wonderful food!!! The service in the city was outstanding and the people were lovely!We will go back.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful Room was not similar in quality or size to other hotel of same chain Westin Portland is centrally located. The lobby is very small and doesn't have a sitting area whatsoever. The room was a standard hotel room from what I would expect of a 3 star hotel. After having stayed at another Westin hotel (Pasadena), I had very high expectations of the appearance, size, and comfort level of the room; Westin Portland did not meet those expectations. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

The Westin...is a 2 star hotel, in a 4 star price...Apart from comfort beds and location, everything was bad. The font office was so rude. Staff was unprofessional. They dint even know anything about the place. Thought this would be an upscale place, and "not so much!"

Hotel is located within walking distance of several downtown destinations including restaurants and attractions; however, the parking fee for hotel guests is disproportionate with other area hotels. Great place to stay if you will not be parking a vehicle.

I had a great time staying with them. The location is good. Only one block from MAX stop, one block from the Pioneer Square. The room is clean. The price is also reasonable. I'll definitely stay there next time I go. Overall, an amazing place to stay.

Stayed at the Westin for 4 nights and enjoyed every single one. Super friendly servers in the bar and great location for light rail/bus/walking. We did not rent a car. Easy check in and out. They let us check in several hours early. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Excellent location & staff. Bad mattress. I am surprised that a hotel with the Westin flag would take short cuts with beds and mattress. The mattress was very bad, had lumps in it, was sliding to one side and I did not sleep well. You would only find a mattress like that in a homeless shelter. Surprised that the hotel chain did not take that into consideration

Apart from location, there is no good i can say about this hotel...Staff was juvinile and unprofessional..it didn't look like a Westin, it looked more like a Double Tree hotel....

The Westin in downtown Portland was very comfortable, service and staff very friendly. The room was very spacious with a large bathroom and a separate shower and a tub! We received excellent info from the staff about local restaurants and enjoyed walking to many things. Unfortunately the parking fee was rather high and very limited around the area.

The whole building felt tiny, cramped. Hotel charges extra for newspaper by default. You have to opt out of this charge.

The staff at this hotel was very accomodating and friendly. The shower and bed linens were wonderful (I would have loved a tub, though). The only problem is the location. Downtown, there are many homeless youth, who beg for money, and ask to use your cell phone. It's a shame that the policitians cannot keep this in check.

Location and staff were great. The bed was comfy. Parking at $29 is overpriced. The location is very good, the staff was great and the room was comfortable and well appointed.
