Great location and a great price for where you located. Your just at the end of michigan ave great for walking up and down the strip. Your only up to 1 mile from everything, no more. No need for a taxi with this location.

The location is great. The staff is fairly friendly. The room service after 11pm is ridiculous--stale turkey sandwich and "salad with potatoe brittle" = bag of lettuce with potatoe chips on top for $*!! That is your only option yet they seem to pride themselves on 24 hour room service. The rooms are very small and the hotel is not particularly kid friendly. The Starbucks is only open until noon. The restaurant is very good. We have stayed at many of the Michigan Avenue/downtown hotels in Chicago and this one would not rank very high. The beds are great. The double headed shower head seems appealing until you realize that the water never really gets hot. We stayed 4 days and were ready to check out on day #2 and we are not "hard to please" people. If you are looking for location and not alot of amenities, then this is a fine place to stay.

I spent the July 4th weekend with my adult daughter. We absolutely enjoyed our hotel stay at the Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago. Hotel staff are professional and courteous. The hotel location, walks to restaurants, taxi cab/bus visit to the Art Institute of Chicago, walk to the Millenium Park, and walks for shopping trips were all great experiences in a clean, safe, and diverse area. We took a cab to the art institute and bus back to the hotel only because it was raining; otherwise, we would have walked. Also, we found many great shopping bargains in addition to the fantastic hotel price.

Placed on member floor. Room service food quality poor, movie system did not work. We were thrilled to get the price we negotiated. The hotel is obviously in an amazing location. We only ordered desserts from room service, but all the ice cream was freezer burnt. In spite of the technical difficulties that made watching the movie system impossible, we were charged for our movies anyway, and no one was aware of the problem when we checked out. Even though we had several conversations with customer service about it the night before. We were expecting the parking to be expensive, but $49?

The room was okay- 15th floor and the bed was very comfortable. Shower has HOT HOT water. Lots of towels. Airconditioner rattled and I was able to quiet it by sticking a paper jam in the metal doors to stop the banging. The hotel resturant leaves lots to be desired but there are nice places just a short walk away- especially down by the river. I felt the desk staff was rather rude at checkout when I was trying to get a print out of my room bill for travel expenses. I wanted the extra (Non-refundable) charges on a separate bill and you would have thought I was asking them to pull teeth. I did not get my statement- but whatever. Excessive tourist tax on the room and they add 30 dollars for the 2nd person as well as charge for the use of the exercise room. Pretty pricey- but the costs will probably improve when the brand new Trump Tower opens next door!! :-)

I was very pleased with the Westin on Michigan Ave. The hotel was in great shape and the rooms were rather upscale for the price we paid. Good size and very clean. I knew it was a good sign when the LA Dodgers were also staying in our hotel!!! Great location right across the street from the Hancock Building. Tons of shopping in the surrounding blocks and only about five blocks (about 10 min walk) from the El Train Station. Seemed like a very professional or family oriented clientel, however it was great for a guys baseball getaway as well. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Close to shopping. Staff was rude, view was terrible, really noisy, not clean. I would not recommend this Hotel to anyone, especially when it is booked. We checked out after our 1st night of a 2 night booking, although we lost our money because we already paid, we couldn't stand the staff and noise!They must give the poorest rooms to customers, our was really bad. When I told the front desk.

We've stayed in many properties in downtown Chicago & this was by far the best! From check-in to check-out, the staff provided superior service! We were upgraded to a larger room with a view of the lake...just because. We were given a free in room movie simple because we had kids with us. :-) The room was large (for Chicago), clean, and well appointed. The restaurant is spendy (it's Chicago afterall), but great food, huge portions & out of this world desserts!

Everything was great with the hotel except for the first night. A lot of people on our floor were making way too much noise late into the night. Called the front desk, they took care of it right away. The walls seemed way too thin also. This may sound funny but the doors to the rooms shut really loud. I heard doors shutting all night also. Aside from that, service was exceptional!! Great location, right next door to the Hancock tower!! A lot of great sights within walking distance.

The Bell staff was very courteous. The Housekeeping was atrocious. Facility was well kept. No pool, parking very expensive and it took the valet 40 minutes to bring up the car. Free wireless in lobby only, pay for room access.

Great location right next to water tower place and the handcock building. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Watch out for city taxes on the room, they totaled close to 40 dollars on our stay. All thing considered an excellent value.

Hotel was excellent but I will never book through Orbitz again, ended up costing us more than if we had booked directly through the hotel, and repeated attempts to get Orbitz to honor the lower price were fruitless.

Great location! If you want to shop, this is the location on Michigan Avenue. There is no swimming pool and the views are non-existent. Great service. The hotel should take out some rooms and add a pool. This is a good business hotel. I wouldn't take my family here due to the pool issue. Also, the windows don't crack open for fresh air.
