It has an efficient feel to it. Later room service (past 11pm).

Hotel was chosen for location with proximity to our family plans. Hotel reviews were read carefully prior to booking reservation, but no mention that valet service was our only parking option as we drove to this location. Short and long term parking was available as long as shuttle transportation was also incorporated here. Located right in the McNamara International terminal so probably best suited for those inhouse travelers. Every time we left the hotel was a valet car retrieval and corresponding tip. However, It was a beautiful room and bed was very comfortable. Surprisingly, no external noise was heard which was very nice. Continental breakfast was NOT included and all items only available by room service or dining in lobby restaurant. Quite a long distance to maneuver with luggage to get from curbside to reservation desk and then to your rooms. Valet personnel were more pleasant than a few of the customer service folks. The final blow to this trip was when we were checking out and we were refused a bell caddy cart unless one of their staff accompanied the device. I was disappointed that my plan to save a little cash ended up costing twice as much and was not convenient at all.

The hotel is a part of MacNamara Terminal,if your flight does not leave out of that terminal please give yourself enough time to take the shuttle which may make several stops before reaching your terminal. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant, pricey but good. The hotel room was nice but could have used a good dusting, the bed was sumptious and I loved the 2 headed shower.I did read the reviews prior to making this reservation, and they did help me with my decision to stay there.I would stay there again,

Unfortunately only a brief business stay, but when you arrive at almost midnight, the hotel's atmosphere was a soothing experience. Heavenly Bed is always heavenly and greatly appreciated (I don't worry that I won't get any sleep)

Great location for flights in and out of DTW. Needs more elevators on both sides of hotel.

Got there late in the day, food was closing down, but got some stuff to hold us over. Drinks were too high, more than double from the cost of the mini bar. $12 for a shot is pricy for me

I stayed here on a Friday night because I got stranded due to weather. The hotel was great. Awesome bed/pillows, great fitness center. Made missing my flight and spending Friday night in Detroit a pleasure. Also, I got an excellent rate. Didn't like the double-headed shower - impossible to keep my hair dry!

Very nice and clean room but we were disappointed with the lack of a bathroom fan in addition the bathroom could be 2-3ft bigger; other than that everything was fine.

This hotel has no real negatives. Two things. It's in Detroit and it has no real outdoor leisure areas.

The bed was worth the money. Most overnight stays for me just represent a very few hours of uncomfortable sleep, back pain, followed by a bad shower. The Westin was non of this. The most comfortable bed I have slept in! Great 2 headed shower, wonderful stay, with Starbucks in the room!!! The staff was sharp, and helpful. The hotel was very presentable. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Convenience and a very nice hotel.

Decent hotel, but extremely dark and dreary inside. For the cost, they could offer more amenities -- no HBO (they play a Showtime loop 24 hours a day with the same two shows on it). Internet access costs 10/day -- I've gotten free Internet and HBO at the Hampton Inn! The service was decent, but the cleaning staff had a nasty habit of slamming doors at night. Service in general could have been a lot crisper -- valet parking was a little slow, too. The restaurant inside the hotel was okay -- again, pricey for the quality of the food. I wouldn't stay there again."

The location was the selling point for my stay. I didn't have to get my son or husband up at 3am to get to the airport for my 6am flight. It is conveniently located on the airport property with security check points to the terminal and kiosk for NWA flyers. The hotel has a beautiful atrium, it had serene feel to it (at least for the time I arrive). The room is modern in design, color scheme was right on throughout the room. The bed was heavenly to me as they say. There was not a single sound of the airplanes or the airport traffic. Their staff was excellent at all times and very helpful to questions you may have. Overall, the hotel is great at every level.

Convenient to Northwest Airlines. Parking is expensive and crowded. Excellent for people traveling by air or meeting people traveling by air.

The Westin at Detriot Airpoit took to long for check-in,about one hour to be exact, but overall the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable

Location. The noise. Will never stay there again. The hotel put carpet in on the floor below us, and started the work at midnight. Three calls to the front desk didn't do any good. We were up all night with the noise. We were told that they always did work at night.
