It was beautiful and so very convenient. The Westin was an amazing experience for us given the price afforded through priceline.com. Safety is a high priority for me, a single mom with daughters, and we felt like we were in the perfect spot!

I stayed at this hotel on business this week. Don't let the hip lobby look full you. Managers are incompetent and don't know how to say they are sorry after inconveniencing guests - especially their night manager. I had to move once (at midnight) because the elevator noise was too loud and again after the next room they put me in smelled like a Lysol can exploded in it (which aggravated my asthma). I had to beg for an upgrade - no offer to do this, nor an apology. I discussed my unhappiness with an assistant manager at check out, who has yet to followup with me 4 days later to explain how Westin SF was going to make this up to me. Stay away from all rooms next to the elevators. And avoid this hotel.

All of the hotel employees were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is in close proximity to great food and bars. The room was comfortable and beautiful and we had a great view.

I stayed at this hotel during SF Pride. The location is great. It is centrally located for Pride events, but far enough to get away from the crazy if you want to. The rooms are nice and clean. And the view was great for a room that was not an uber fancy room.

Close to trolley, close to attractions, great views. Had to pay for WIFI, no pool, no breakfast. Great for the business traveler, not so good for families. Great ambiance, but no pool or breakfast was hard on budget. However, proximity to trolley and wharf was a decent trade-off. I would recommend to steer families away from here and to a more family-friendly place.

I had a great time at the Westin on Market Street. The hotel employees were very nice, the room was large for a brand new hotel and the room service was fast and efficient. I would tell a friend to stay there, I was close to the Ritz Carlton and I felt I was in a hotel with the same category.

Stayed here for a long weekend Nov 2008. Wanted something upscale for a special trip to SF. This hotel missed the mark. Staff was indifferent and cold. Booked a deluxe room, but received an odd corner room - everything at angles and little more than a half bath. Worse yet, room was on 9th floor facing an adjacent building on an alley - no sunlight and certainly no views. If that's not enough, parking was a fortune, and the traffic on 3rd St was heavy - constant congestion. Friends stayed at the Hyatt in Embarcadero - paid same price as we did at Westin - their room was on 15th floor with a balcony and views of the bay. Bottom line - stay any place but here, unless you're on an expense account and the location suits you. Would not return and would not recommend. Very dissatisfied.

Staying at the Westin S. F. made our trip so wonderful. It was conveniently located and our room was very clean with an awesome view. The employees could not have been nicer. The Heavenly Bed was, indeed, heavenly!

I stayed at the Westin while attending a conference just across the street at the Mariott. I chose the Westin because the price was $144 a night, which was $100 less per night than the Mariott! I got a great deal through Orbitz. I, however, would prefer not pay that much if I were paying for it out of my own pocket. I stayed at the Westin for business because it was right next the conference hotel and the price wasn't too bad for the 4 days I stayed there. The Westin had excelllent service. The staff were very professional and attentive. The rooms were clean and the beds were great. I was bumped up to a double queen room, so there was ample space. The large flat screen T.V. was nice to have. There was a small workout room with some basic equipment on the 4th floor that I used daily. The only thing I was not happy about was the $15/ day expense for internet service. That's a steep price ... and the speed was really slow! A hotel like the Westin should have complimentary internet for their guests. The room service menu was pricey, and the restaurant and lounge downstairs was just as pricey. All in all, though, I had a pleasant and comfortable stay. After the conference was over though, I chose to stay at the Serrano Hotel for the extra week I stayed in San Francisco because it was around $110 a night and had complimentary internet and a free wine tasting each night at 5:00.

Location was good for the ballpark. Bed and pillows were comfortable. No free internet access. This place was good for the value. Within ATT park walking distance, close to shopping and movie theaters.

This is a very upscale hotel in a great location if you want to be near the Museum of Modern Art, the convention center, the ballpark, Union Square, chinatown, the financial district. Very modern and nicely designed. The only complaint I had was I had a hard time finding my way around. Also I was booked at a special conference rate (someone else was paying) that was 259 a night, much more than can be booked through this site.

I attended a scientific meeting at the nearby Marriott, which was accessible via a walkway past St. Patrick's. Service was great. And I was somehow lucky to get a free upgrade to the top (36th) floor with a great city view.

We (family of 4) stayed here in May. Excellent! Great service, rooms were clean, and staff was excellent. Had a great time in SFO. Walking distance to everywhere. We will definitely stay again.

Renovations are complete. Hotel was neat and clean. Staff was helpful and friendly; we got a free upgrade to a room with a spectacular view of the city and the bay bridge. Rooms were spacious and modern. The location was perfect. 1/2 block south of Market Street. 5 minute stroll gets to the heart of Union Square and the Powell/Mason cable car line. Food and shopping were plentiful and convenient.

The location of the hotel was great. We couldn't decide whether to stay near the Wharf or in the City. So happy we chose the city! A must is to experience & take cable car to Wharf, then go to Buena Vista for the best Irish Coffee! In the city we went shopping, shopping, shopping! Our friends recommended the Daily Grill. We went there 3x's. Happy Hour dailly from 3pm - 6pm. Great drinks & appetizers. Dinner's are delicious! Bartender the best! Ate the best breakfast next door at an Irish Pub. The hostess at the restaurant located in hotel was very rude. We refused to eat there but we didn't let that spoil our trip.
