The Westin Galleria was a very comfortable accommodation. Its location in Uptown Houston was wonderful with the Galleria being a wonderful shopping experience as well as other shopping facilities nearby, including a very nice Target nearby. The Westin also has a nice gym as well as giftshop. I was very satisfied with my stay at this hotel and would recommend it to my friends and family.

The rooms were a generous size. The beds and pillows were extraordinary. The staff was attentive. Nothing I disliked. One chair in the room was uncomfortable. Awesome! I loved this hotel!

It was very comfortable. Shower would not drain at all. Notified staff but did not fix it. It was a nice place to stay. I was very disappointed with the shower. It would not drain. It completely filled the tub. I notified the hotel staff the first day and they stated they would have it fixed. 2nd day it continued to fill and staff stated they would have it fixed. We did not stay the third night because of it.

The galleria was attached. I was treated very well as I checked in but, as I got to my room the ice machine was broken and had been for sometime. I did enjoy leaving the hotel to go shopping in the galleria that was the best part of being in Houston.

It was close to where my conference was being held. They did not have a shuttle service, nor did they have free internet in the rooms. Good location attached to the Galleria mall and close to many amenities. Unfortunately there was no shuttle which would have really helped me out and saved me a lot. Also the there was no free internet access in the room. I had to pay $10/day.

Location was good for business transactions. Security not responsive when somebody opened my room door at 9pm. Management response poor. I expected that a Star wood hotel would be very upscale and clean. This Westin hotel was not quite there. The lobby is dated and worn. The space was quite warm as if the air conditioning was not working. Lots of noise in the lobby from the street made being in this space unpleasant. The staff at the check in desk was friendly and courteous, but not necessarily competent. My room was right next to the elevator and the ice machine and it was noisy. Somebody started vacuuming the hallway at 5 am. My room was pleasant, but not fully cleaned. I had to extend my stay by one day for business reasons and so I extended threw Priceline to get the great price. I went to the front desk and personally made sure that the staff knew that I was staying an additional day and verify if I would be moving or staying in the same room. I did this late morning. At 9pm, I was in my room with the deadbolt locked and I had just climbed into the shower when somebody with a key card tried to open the door. (I heard the deadbolt catch). I jumped out of the shower and ran to the door. I could not see anyone threw the peephole, so I called for security to determine who had access to my room. Was this an attempted robbery or what? The hotel told me that they would send security up to my room. I waited 15 minutes, but nobody showed up. I called down and spoke to the Manager on duty and he indicated that security should be there shortly, but that he would come up with the security personnel to address my concerns. He ever showed. Security finally showed after 23 minutes. It was in fact housekeeping that thought the room was vacant and wanted to clean it. The hotel did not have me registered even though I had gone downstairs and taken care of it myself. The day Manager that I spoke with when I was checking out of the hotel seemed genuinely concerned and promised to

It was located at a large shopping mall. Everything was an extra charge. The hotel would have been nice for a business trip. My wife and went to this hotel for our anniversary and it was not fancy or luxurious. I was very disappointed in the comfort of the bed and the room as a whole. Granted this is a older hotel.
