DINNING ROOM FIVE DOLLARS FOR A SCOOP OF INSTANCE MASHED POTATOES A BIT MUCH,THEY DIDN'T EVEN TASTE GOOD. REST OF MEAL GREAT. A BIT FAR FROM EVERY-THING. VAN DRIVERS EXCELLENT. AT CHECK-OUT ON SUNDAY MORNING, CLERK VERY RUDE. ACTED LIKE SHE DIDN'T WANT TO BE THERE.

The hotel staff was excellent. They were friendly, efficient and anxious to help. The room was clean and had nice furnishings. However, the hotel only has mandatory valet parking at a steep daily price. There was a metro station within walking distance if that is your preferred method of transportation.

Friendliness of staff, helpfulness of staff.

If you are looking for luxury, this is your place! The hotel staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms were very plush, immaculate. The shower was hard to leave. The mattress was so comfortable. I slept in for the first time in a very long time. The surrounding area was historical and lively, lots going on right around the corner. Close to public transportation also. I will plan my next trip to include staying again.

Great hotel, very close to the metro for easy access to Downtown D.C. and within walking distance to King street which has many nice restuarants. Pool is very small and in a very boring room without any windows.

Area is very quaint. My daughter and I walked around at night without feeling unsafe. Metro not too far, but a good 5 min walk. The Westin was beautiful and smells wonderful!!

Friendly, supportive staff; cleanliness and decor of rooms. I would definitely stay at and recommend this hotel to family and friends. This hotel made it so easy to use the metro.

My wife and I have been traveling for pleasure almost once a month for the last year. We have stayed in over a dozen hotels from different chains; some were 4 stars and we have never stayed in any with less than 2 stars. My wife and I found the Westin in Alexandria to have exceeded out expectations; from the person at the curb meeting us, to all the details you expect in a 5 star hotel, except they exceeded way beyond. The desk person was incredible in making us feel welcome, the restaurant staff were delightfull. The room giving to us was perfect in every way; the bathroon and shower were incredible; and the bed was a dream. We stayed in the Club floor, and to our surprised, the continental breakfast that was included in the stayed, was the best we have ever experienced; the ladies taking care the club room went out of their way to make us confortable. We recommend this hotel to everyone; and you don't have to be rich, to stay there. What can I say; we will be staying in that Westin everytime we travel to the DC area!

Very nice hotel. Only have vallet parking which is like 20 a day. They do not offer a shuttle to some of the main attractions around town like other hotels do. Did not eat there because overpriced food. Bed was delicious! It was so comfortable! Only problem we had was 9 am maintaince that did not end until 5pm! When you're trying to get away from 2 kids who wake you up at the crack of dawn, it is nice to sleep in and maintance caused huge sleeping problems! Also, only offered one robe and one pair of slippers in room that was booked for 2 people. Plus, when room service came, they took our towels and did not leave any. The view from the room offered nothing. It was a view of the backside of building and roof top. The Westin is a nice hotel but wish we had stayed in DC or somewhere that offered a shuttle service. Would stay again, but only if everything else was booked up. Not what I expected for the price.

Great service, lovely room. Concierge floor provided good value. Train into Washington easily accessible. Hotel van took us and picked us up from local restaurants. Will stay there again.

Clean, no mention of Priceline. Very clean good hotel. A little out of the way for Wash DC. Hard to find without a GPSS.

Here's the thing there is nothing around this hotel but condos. The restaurant in the hotel is expensive and not good. Also, I needed to print out two pages for my meeting. In their business center, the minimum charge to log into a computer is $7.50 and the $1.00 per page. I told the concierge that that was outrageous and she told me they contract with an outside company. I told her they should pick a new company because this one was a rip off. I asked if she could print my two pages from my flash drive and she said no. Needless to say I was disappointed.

I liked the safe neighborhood & new facilities. I did not like the short hours of pool, and of the van, and of the gift shop. Everything was off at 10 pm. This hotel would be great for people without children in general. Pool was closed at 10 pm and was smallish. They showed no flexibility with this, as they said the lifeguard goes home, what? We had to beg to get the van to come get us from Metro subway at station 1 mile away, because it was raining very hard. Hotel workers were nice, but we had two rooms, and only one was cleaned over a two night 3 day stay. We asked for a late checkout on Sunday afternoon, and they delayed our answer, first that Saturday evening, then the next morning we called again, and they did not answer our request. This hotel is new and nice, but not for families. GREAT biz hotel though.

The hotel is brand new, spotless and very comfortable. The staff are eager to please. The restaurant is very much a work in progress. Food either excellent or terrible. Had the wild salmon first night and it was great. Had it a couple of nights later and it was terrible.Hotel management welcomed criticism and did their best to ensure satisfaction.

Parking $25 extra pernight unless you're there on the weekend and can find a street spot.

I found the hotel and its staff to be warm and comfortable. the only drawback to the stay was that where it is located and its beinfg a holiday weekend, the things to do immediately around the hotel were somewhat limited. I would deffinitely recommend the hotel.

I was please with the location and the overall presence of the hotel. Pool attendant was not very personable.

I had no other place to stay it was a beautiful hotel, very nice but no better than those at lower prices. The internet was free. the Food was very good but again too high.
