Towels from Pakastan in an American 4 star hotel. Outrageous! And it matters to me! Conciergerie sent us on a wild goose chase..2-3 different ones really had no clue to job requirements. Room had awful odor upon our arrival. Not "smoke" smell, smelled "old". Bed was ultra comfortable, bath was awsome. Restraunt- awful. Went down for late night snack and was ignored for over 20 minutes..no bartender, no waiter, just few patrons. Have to try somewhere else next visit. Sorry Westin!

The only thing "Westin" about the hotel was the bed and the Concierge. Decor, carpet, rooms, layout, everything was below standard. Though they are doing badly needed renovations, I would still pass. Rooms are small and most have no views. If you are a Westin girl like me there are 4 others in the area to choose from - DON'T stay here.

Great hotel. There aren't that many restaurants in the immediate vicinity but overall it is a convenient location. Westin Hotels are always a nice stay for business travel.

We have stayed at many Westins, we actually prefer them over other chains. This Westin, however, is not your usual Westin. The hotel rooms are old and outdated, not at all luxurious or inviting. They are tiny, but then again, this is DC. Staff are rather put-offish. Again, this seems common in DC. The best thing about this hotel is the great Westin beds. Lots of pillows, fluffy duvet, true Westin Heavenly beds. Next trip, however, I will be sure to pay more attention to the reviews rather than relying on brand name. The fact that so many people had negative things to say should have tipped me off.

Exceeded my expectations! Service, cleanliness, convenience, location to downtown DC is extraordinary. Worth every penny.

We stayed for a long weekend and were sorely disappointed. The Westin brand name leads me to believe this would be a good hotel. I wasn't impressed. They billed me three times for the same room (although they quickly fixed the problem once notified); the room was cramped and dingy and dated; the hotel restaurant was closed for renovation and the bar didn't open at the schedule time.

The hotel offered spacious and highly comfortable accommodations, with first rate service from the staff. The restaurants left something to be desired. Quality and presentation of the menu items was not.

Although for the most part the hotel was a good value for the price we paid, we were very upset by the condition of the carpet in our room. It had burn holes and stains that made it hard to bring us to walk barefooted.

This hotel was in good location with friendly staff. The room was large and well appointed with a huge bathroom. The only draw back was not having an in-hotel bar or cafe that stayed opened past 11 pm on a Friday night.

The Westin Grand was a great place to stay. The location was close to food, shopping and transportation. The staff went out of their way to help when needed. Restaurant was expensive for the quality & food. Otherwise this is a great hotel.

Except for the note above that room service food from Saturday was still in the hallways at noon on Sunday, the hotel was very nice. But the sight and smell of old food as you walked by it was not very good.

Peaceful, calm, indulgent without being pretentious. Helpful and accommodating staff. Great location near Georgetown. Ate in Cafe M for dinner, food was terrific. Room service menu prices were outrageous so did not partake.

Everything was fine with this stay. The restaurant breakfast is very expensive, suggest eating at small cafe across the street.

Great, but still flawed. I must have had a run of bad luck on bathrooms because the two hotels I stayed at on my business trip both had hairs in the tub. I found that a bit disgusting and disappointing.

The doormen were always there to great you and open the door. The lobby is decorated in a minimal fashion with Contemporary leather coaches and stools, small candles are lit at night to create an ambiance. There is a Courtyard in the center of the hotel with a European flair, complete with fountain- perfect place for a wedding. There is a lap pool and a gym- no Jacuzzi or locker room. Beautiful overall. The rooms are spacious with marble and granite bathrooms and deep bath tubs.

Off site parking, 5 blocks to the metro, no hot tub. Beautiful decor, private rooms and quiet hotel, excellent staff.
