Staff was very friendly, polite & helpful & as I said in review, excellent location. Bathroom was not perfectly clean but for a quick trip, it was quite pleasant with OK price. Bad news - I tried to book a repeat trip for 2 weeks later & price for same room had DOUBLED! Unless they get prices adjusted for repeat customers, I predict trouble & I won't stay there again.

Upon checking in, the deck clerk, X, was friendly, efficient and welcoming. However, there was no one at the door to open (no automatic door) and no one to help up with our bags from the car. A bellhop did take the bags from the lobby to our room. In one of the elevators, I leaned against the wall and later discovered stain or paint on the white knit shirt in the shape of the moulding so I know it came from the elevator. It was nice having the starbucks coffee in the morning. The air conditioning worked great and the bed was very clean and comfortable. I didn't have any issues with cleanliness of the room. The room was extremely quiet. I liked the feeling of the neighborhood for walking and finding a good restaurant around Dupont Circle was easy, even without the help of the concierge. With the exception of ruining a good shirt, this would be a great hotel for the money. I would stay here again. The best part is the location.

Great location, intimate small luxury hotel. Convenient and free internet. Don't have to walk a mile to get to your room. Great, anything-we-can-do-to-please staff. Restoration of front entrance began 10/20, not a problem. Manager offered 50% room service, free breakfast during renovation.

The physical plant is somewhat tired and run down. Bathrooms were very small as was the room itself. No newspaper at door. Best feature is excellent location. Not bad, but not as good as most Westins.

When we went looking for ice, we couldn't find any. Most of the machines were broken, or we couldn't locate them. The hallways were dirty with trash, and the whole place had a dirty, vacant dark run-down energy about it. Our room over-looked the trash cans of an embassy next door. I would not go there again. Change the drapes, people. And sweep up the hallway carpets. Oh, and the toilet kept running.

Physical plant is not up to Westin standards....HVAC struggles to work - bathroom ventilation groaned and only came on sporadically, AC non-existent in hallways and elevators, floors creaked. Spots on walls of bathroom and room that could be wiped off with wet washcloth. No one on duty at front door for luggage assistance upon arrival - half-flight of stairs from entrance to check-in - no visible way to roll bags with rollers. That said, comfortable beds, nice location.

8 storey building, traditional design and decor, friendly staff, stairs in lobby to get to elevator - would not suit everyone! We had help with baggage and no problem checking in, restaurant on 2nd floor - didn't visit, small scaffold at entrance but no construction noise or dust issues, meant to have an adjoining room but the middle door was jammed so couldn't connect the rooms using it!! Reasonably happy.

The hotel is still in the middle of renovations; but all in all, staff did an excellent job of minimizing impact to guests. Service overall and location were excellent.

We were given a a small room with only one bed - not going to work for us as we had 3 adults and 2 children. We asked if there was anything larger and we were given an amazing room that really fit all of our needs for no extra charge.

I was very please by the appearance of this hotel. I had read that it was/still is going under a remodel, but most of that seems done at this point. Rooms are nice and large, with a very nice bathroom and TV. Bed was very firm, but that helps me.

The hotel was under construction but was not a problem to us - we were never disturbed. Our room was missing a few things - ice bucket, safe (but a call to the front desk took care of things quickly). Great location, close to Metro and plenty of great places to eat at moderate prices. Didn't eat at the hotel - prices were too high. Dupont Circle is a beautiful, safe place to stay!

The hotel was perfect in so many ways. The room was cozy and the bathroom was nice and large with a perfect bath tub. I loved our king size heavenly bed, it was just like being on a cloud! You will love the location especially at nights and weekend mornings when Dupont Circle truly comes alive. Very close to the Dupont Circle Metro stop so it is easy to get around DC and come back to the hotel without a taxi. Perfect for couples and very quiet. I loved the view of the Dupont circle from our window and all of the beautiful embassies on Embassy Row. I did not like how everything was so overpriced within the hotel. The mini bar was full of mini-drinks with big prices. For a mini bottle of soda (not a can, smaller) it cost almost $6. Room service charges an 18% gratuity fee, in addition to a 10% tax and a $3.50 delivery fee. Also, the wireless internet was expensive, the movies are expensive, $12.99 to watch Sex In The City is just outrageous! Thankfully, I was able to get the free wireless Dupont Circle internet so I didn't have to pay anything! It really is just ridiculous how you get overly nickel and dime at this hotel. It is the hotel's only, flaw - that it forces you to not even look at the mini bar or room service menu. Friendly staff, great location, perfect for a couples weekend, nice gym.
