the room was too small, and the swimming pool too small, and the tv too old, and they charge for room service. they charge service, while others dont.

I stayed 2 nights at the Westin Casuarina about 1 block of the main strip and accros from Bally's. I expected more of a traditional hotel Westin experience. Generally, I have be pleased with their properties in the past. I couldn't have been more wrong. The hotel structure probably goes back many, many years and it appears Westin did a facelift to meet their standards at some point. The rooms are signiifcantly dated and worn. Even the ceramic finish on the tub was worn to the cast iron. In my opinion , this property is way over rated and over priced for its comparative quality. If you want a worn and dated room at a price that reflects conditions, stay at Bally's or Harrah's.

The staff at this hotel was very rude...if you need something, they push you off to another person, (then another, then another, etc....). My husband and I were at the pool on a 112 degree day and no one would get into the pool becuase it was so dirty

A wonderful surprise! Good Hotel at a GREAT price. We have paid a lot more for a lot less. Staff was friendly and the room was immaculent. The windows were cloudy from exposure, but there isn't a lot to view out of them. The casino is quieter than others and we were confused as to if were were in Buffalo Bills or Terrible's Hotel. A perfect stop on the long ride from California after work. Even factoring the extra gas into Vegas, it was still the best deal we have ever gotten on a room. Already planning on staying there on our next trip to Vegas!

I booked the hotel online and asked for two double beds for 4. In a week or so I confirmed that we would have two double beds and was assured that was the case. When we arrived around 6 PM our room was NOT ready. We went to eat. When we returned, we were told that we would have a room with one king bed. We told them that wasn't what we wanted. They said it was the only option for us. Needless to say, we weren't happy campers.

This hotel is minutes walk to the main action of the Las Vegas Strip, just behind Bally's and the Flamingo. We weren't able to check in early, but they held our bags and allowed us to freshen up in the spa. The spa was soothing and useful, as well as easily accessible, with free use of sauna and steamroom. The pooldeck was small, but nice atmosphere, $18 for a bucket of 5 domestic beers- sweet! The room was very peaceful, nice beds, and clean. However, the housekeeper did knock fairly early on our checkout day- not cool. The front desk staff was not particularly friendly, but the valet staff made up for it, helping with any of our needs. In order to avoid the craziness of the strip and to save a little bit of money, I would definitely stay at the Westin Casuarina again.

Pretty close to the strip. Clean. Check in time too late. sound insulation poor.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Las Vegas for business. It is close to the strip but miles away from distractions. I love the Westin brand...the beds, showers, & ammenities are truly "heavenly". The staff was professional and great to work with.

Excellent location if you want away from the craziness of the Strip. Staff was superb from the front desk to the House Keeping. Try out the casino as its small and personable and you get better attention thean any large casino. Resturant was expensive, but the hotel is close to lots of very good options. Pool is small but nice. Fitness center was larger than most. Rooms were not huge but very clean and quiet. Again great location and personable.

Great experience overall. Hotel was clean and quiet. Bed was extremely comfortable. Hotel staff was very helpful. Casino was small, but casino staff more than made up for that. My fiance loved the spa, and found the service similar, if not better, than larger strip hotels. Five minute walk to the strip kept you close to the action, yet far enough away to get away if you needed to. Will definitely stay again.

Me and my family stayed at the Westin Febuary 4th thru 6th-2009.This was a good stay the staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel was quiet and clean,we liked it because it was a welcome change from the congestion of the strip, which was within walking distance.

your enterance into the hotel / casinos is ruined by an over wheming foral scent. Beware if you allergies. There is a private pool for the hotel with plenty of chairs and towels but the pool is small. The double rooms have great shower heads and comfortable beds, we thought we going to get the typical double with queen beds but the beds were only doubles. The overall size of the room is on the small size. The most noticable thing is the stains and poor condition of the carpet in the hallways.

We went to studio 54, the taxi ride was about ten dollars and on the way back about a block from the hotel there was a small liquor store that had a bar in it. you get a hot dog and a beer for $2.50, thats was a good deal close to the hotel for those late night munchies.

Great stay, staff very helpful and friendly. Food was good ,atmosphere good. Casino small but nice assortment of slot machines. Beds are a dream. Rooms very nice. Was glad there was no smoking. And they accept pets. You can walk to Bills in a few minutes.

Very Nice room. Can't say enough about the Hevenly Bed. Casino is ok for senior citizens but not if you like the excitement of the strip, its kinda boring. Food is too exspensive. Need to put a priority on getting the elevators fixed.
