The hotel itself is very nice. Let me set that straight. The rooms were cleaned and well maintained. However, the great disappointment was that the big indoor water park was not included. It was an ADDITIONAL $18.95 per person! Outrageous. Had I known this, I would have probably booked a hotel closer to downtown Gatlinburg. Also, there were extra costs for everything: calling the operator, using wireless service. To reach the rooms on the hill, someone with a disability or illness would need to wait for a golf cart which was not always timely. This might be a great place for a family that's staying several days or a week. But I would not recommend for an overnight stay. My kids were devastated.

Hotel was wonderful but finding it was a desaster, the visitors right across the street sent me seven to ten miles down the road and I had to ask directions five times, there was a police officer in town and he did not even know where it was, I think he was just giving me directions to satify me. Was very happy with the hotel, but was very disappointed with the directions, I even called the hotel desk and got nowhere.

I weighed my concerns about noise, not easy to get around and pressure to buy timeshare. but i chose to book a night at this hotel anyway. i'm glad i did. i do agree that the hotel needs to be marked from the highway as it is not located in town and the highway becomes divided about the same area where you need to turn. anyway, we found the hotel and arrived at check-in. We did have to wait but it was 'prime time' check-in hour but the process went smoothly. The property is built onto the side of a hill and it does involve a good incline but we didn't stay long enough to have to walk. Our service agent, led the way on his golf cart and came into our room to explain the hotel site and answered our questions. never did mention once any kind of sales pitch or pressure about the timeshare (whew). the room was lovely and super clean. one downfall or disappointment was the showerhead. it appears there was no water pressure or it could possibly be a low-flow which barely gets you wet. Noise? I did hear someone in the next room but what hotel doesn't have room noise? we wished we could have stayed longer because my husband loved the rustic look and quiet atmosphere. only other complaint i have is the demand to put a $50 hold on your credit card for incidentals. i understand the rule and know why they're in place but the check-in clerk says that it's held on my card for approximately 17 days? we had no incidentals because we only stayed one night and usually spend our time outside the hotel

Great place in the woods. The rooms have great views of the mountains. Staff were very friendly. The only draw back was the noise from the neighbors. The walls were very thin...

We called one hour prior to our arrival to ensure that the unit was still correct. We'd paid for and been promised a one bedroom with a balcony and a "nature view". When we got there they gave us a studio with no balcony and no view. The unit we ended up with was a one bedroom but had no balcony and the windows overlooked the parking lot. It was late and we were tired and we had spent close to an hour in the lobby fighting for the unit they'd promised, literally shouting over very loud music, so at that point we just gave up. Before entering your unit you enter a common hallway shared by your neighbor. Our neighbors were quite loud. There were construction sounds every morning of the trip. The heater died in the middle of the night one night. This is a busy apartment complex. Not a resort. The indoor waterpark is a gimmick--okay for kids, not worth the time for anyone else. Ate in the lobby restaurant once. Found a weird piece of plastic in my beans. Skip this place.

Good rooms. Check-in procedure is just too time-consuming. After traveling for hours you don't want to be waiting in a crowded noisy lobby with your children for more than an hour without even being offered a glass of water. I also noticed a difference in staff's attitude towards non-white people.

A very beautiful resort( love it in tenn.)We have been going there for three years the second week in Oct .for a week stay. The resort is vey nice and clean. The cabins are the best place to stay on the mountain very good view. The wild bear water park is the best, love the lazy river .My husbard loves the view , good for taking alot of pictures. We will be going back the second week of Oct next year can't wait .We went to lot a dinner shows and parrott mountain was a very intresting place with all the beautiful birds on the mountain. The leafs the second week in oct a changing color every day .From Westgate Resort it only take one hour to go over mountain to Cherokee North Carolina. The Harrahs Casino and alots of gift shops are there. Westgate is the best place to stay in the smoky mountains. they make you fill very special..

Only stayed one night just for a little getaway. Very nice place, clean, homey-feeling. Checkin time was way too late at 4 pm. Checkout was too early at 10 am. We wanted to swim and relax, but the day was already gone by checkin at 4. And then it takes alot longer to get to your room. Won't give you a key; they must physically escort you to your room (for tips I guess) Security staff always watching guests and stopping them to ask where they are going, etc. Staff much too overbearing and intrusive. Also, it seems pretty pricey for what it is.

Besides the location I don't have any good things to say about the hotel. It was overpriced for sure. This hotel should be in the $80 - $90 range at best. Like all timeshares they try to pressure you into a presentation to buy into and I don't care for hard sales while I am on vacation. The room was on the small side. The bed was fixed with one side phisically touching the wall! Stuffy Room. The dryer took 3 hours to dry 1 load of laundry. I would never go back to this hotel!

A decent place to stay close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge attractions. The rooms were very nice and clean however not much privacy, it's more like stacked apartments. The view from your private balcony is beautiful. However, the parking is rediculous here and everything is on a huge hill and you have to fight for a parking place at night. They say that they have 2 pools but I could only find one and it's not very easy or convienant to get to. They have an indoor "water park" on site but it costs extra to get into and frankly it's not worth the money, it's not that great! There really is not enough amenities to call this place a resort, and there is no daily maid service and you have to set your own trash out. We were there 3 days and never saw anyone. The people were nice and it's not a bad place just not that great, your better off for what it cost here to just rent a private cabin up here. Hope this helps.

The hotel was very nice. They had evening events such as campfires with marshmallows to make smores (for a nominal charge). They also have an on site indoor water park which while being accessible is expensive though. On the whole we and our kids enjoyed the stay here. The only drawback is that this hotel is not in Gatlinburg per se. You need to drive to get to Gatlinburg and enjoy the street life there.

This was my second trip to Gatlinburg, TN. I went with my boyfriend and we had a great time in Gatlinburg and our stay at this hotel was also great. The staff were very knowledgeable about the area and activities to do in the area. Any questions I had were answered promptly and to the best of their knowledge. The room was clean and comfortable. They have 3 pools to choose from, so you don't have to be crowded. The location is great because it is right off of the main strip in Gatlinburg. You can easily walk to your destinations in the town or you can stand right in front of the hotel and catch the trolley. You are literally less than a block away from motor trail through the Smoky Mountains Park; along the trail there are many options to hike and view historic sites. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Gatlinburg!

My husband & I enjoyed the convenience of local shops & grocery stores; especially since I love to cook! I was disappointed that check-in time was 4PM compared to other similar trips we've taken were 12PM check-in. There were not enough pots & pans for cooking, and we would have chosen a more secluded, less direct sun (for when grilling outside) had we been more informed. Also, your staff needs to be more clear about giving directions to resort for out-of-towners like us; the directions given to us (and we entered into our GPS System) was incorrect-and when we called the resort staff, they then apologized, but offered no incentive for the inconvenience. Beautiful place, though; and we finally did settle in and enjoyed the remainder of our trip. Thx., Mr. & Mrs. McGraw.

My husband and I stayed here for our sons wedding on the 4th of July weekend. When we got there it was about 2pm and they told us check in was not until 4:30. Then , they told us we would have to secure the room with a credit card for and then at check it would be released but would probably take almost a week for our bank to release. The staff were terrible could not find our reservation and they were very hateful. We asked about check out they said it would be at 10am the next morning so we explained our son's wedding was at 2pm and what was the latest we could check out so we did not walk around with a tux and dress on and they said 11 but that it would be the first hour , the second hour and any thing beyond that it would be the full rate. There is so much complaints to tell I can't tell them all. The bottom line is they are a resort who sells timeshares and that is all they care about. They treat you like they want you in late in day and out early am. They do not really have any interest in you staying there at all.

I booked this hotel online, and was not sure what I would get, but the result was great! The hotel is in a great location with easy access to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The room ammenities were excellent, and the value for the price was unbeatable. The staff was very helpful and there was plenty of activities there for families and children (fitness center, pool). I would recommend this to any traveler! I will use them again next year on my travel there.
