Good serviceWe stayed at Westbury Hotel for 1 night on the way to a relatives funeral in Newquay. Arrived at 8pm. Very good service we were shown around the hotel first and assured that the kitchen could provide something light for us to eat. Nicely cooked breakfast, generous portions. Only complaint was what I usually find in most hotels the pillows were 'dead'! Perhaps this should be something that is checked regularly as it can spoil a nights sleep at times.

Very clean, bright and welcomingThis hotel ticked all the boxes for us. Very good position in Bodmin. Very nice lounge/bar with great choice of daily newspapers. The Thai/steak restaurant was very good and not overpriced. 2 easy chairs in bedroom which is unusual. Bottled water in bedroom. Altogether a very good hotel which I would recommend.

Westberry Hotel, Bodmin - Lovely characterI thought that the Wesberry Hotel, Bodmin was worthy of more than a 2 star rating. The hotel was very clean, well maintained and had a lovely character, and the staff were very friendly and professional.

Westberry Hotel - Bargain!We booked this hotel very late on Late Rooms. It was excelent value all round. We were especially thrilled to have a two-course Thai meal, with a pint, for £10.50. Well-cooked and excellent service. The room was nice - warm and comfortable with a nice en-suite, The breakfast was superb: well-cooked and plenty of choice. At the price we paid - less than £100 for two nights B&B plus a meal for two with drinks - you couldn't fault it. Bodmin is also a nice place to stay.

Traditional hotel, yummy breakfastAnd friendly, helpful staff. It's a shame the bed was really uncomfortable (mattress was long past its use-by date) & there was all sorts down the side of the mattress :0The room was light & airy & the bathroom was huge, and the hotel was well placed

The only problem for me was that I could not use WFI in my room. The staff were friendly and I had a comfortable stay.

If you are visiting Bodmin this is the ideal place to stay, location wise it is in the center, the staff were extremely helpful, the room was spacious and clean.We didn't eat dinner in the hotel, but the breakfasts offered a lot of choice and were tasty and well presented - the continental breakfast in particular was a large plate of fresh fruit, meat and cheese as well as warm bread and croissant....The only slight negative was a poor waterflow from the shower.

Excellent hotel. Only 2 star rating which surprised us. We thought it worthy of much more. Service, friendliness, food excellent. Good value for money.

Food was excellent. I read some of the reviews before we went which specified that the breakfasts were value for money, well I can confirm that. Staff were very friendly. Our room was very spacious, as was the en suite.

From the welcome to the check out everything was very friendly and helpful. The quality of the food was excellent with a good variety of menu to suite all tastes. The rooms are a little small but clean and reasonably well appointed and serviced each day with clean towels etc. If your driving a large car or MPV, take care when entering the car park, it is very tight, but once in no problem. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who needed a base to explore this part of Cornwall.
