Can't recommend this highly enough, spent 2 nights there for my sister rachel's birthday and it was lovely. It was nice to be able to relax watching films, cook our own breakfast etc. Felt more personal/comfortable than most hotels in this price range, and if the price were split between 4 people it would be a bargain. Definitely recommend it for a group of friends wanting to explore the city - it is right in the city centre. I will certainly be exploring the other city crash pads around the country.

Fantastic accommodation at an amazing price is the best way to describe City Crash Pad Sheffield.I had a wonderful time so want to take the time to review the serviced apartments. I am very fussy and do unfortunately have to leave not so positive feedback a lot of the time but also I do like to praise providers who do a good job.I booked through Laterooms and then got a call from City Crash Pad Reservations who confirmed my requirements and processed my booking. I received a very detailed confirmation email with directions, how to check in etc within 10 minutes! The email is very clear with the check in process and the fact you should 30 minutes prior to check in.I called on the morning of my check in day to ask if I could check in earlier and whilst I was told check in was normally 3pm they would try their best to accommodate me. I got a call 45 mins later to say I could check in at 1pm as they had arranged for the cleaners to go to the apartment I had booked first.I met a representative at the Apartment block and he showed me how to check out and showed me around the apartment and explained how things worked. He was extremely helpful and actually took an interest in me and why I was in Sheffield. He explained where the closest shops, restaurants and supermarket (Tesco) was and told me to call the office should I need anything else.I found the information pack in the apartment very informative and concise and it was nice to have milk, tea, coffee and biscuits taken care of.The apartment was nicely decorated and had a very home like feel to it which is always nice when travelling! I couldn't fault the clean state the apartment was in - I am very particular about cleaning and found everything spotless!I enjoyed a good night sleep on a wonderful mattress and bedding and a refreshing shower in the morning in the power shower. I found City Crash Pad actually cheaper than most budget hotels when you compare what you get for your money - I will certainly use them again an

Amazing Stay. Highly Recommended. Much better than a hotel. This was the first time I have used a serviced apartment rather than a hotel. Process was no more hassle than booking a hotel. Five minutes on the phone with Laterooms followed by a City Crash Pad call a few minutes later and an email confirmation from both within minutes of each other so efficiency all round from Laterooms and City Crash Pad.Check In was faultless with a fantastic one to one service. I needed to know where to go drinking and where to get a nice meal as it was my partner's birthday as we decided to go away to somewhere new and ended up choosing Sheffield just to get away! I was given a map and shown where all the best places to go were so really appreciated that as it's always difficult to know what's good and what's not in an unknown city.Loved the apartment as my luck was in when I got an upgrade to a penthouse! Luckily it was sunny so I had the added benefit of a lovely private terrace overlooking an amazing building which reminded me of the colloseum (but I was told it was part of the City Hall!)Told the guy that had checked me in about my partner's birthday and whether there was any way that they could charge my credit card and get me some things in and some champagne as I had to rush off for an hour before my partner arrived. He telephoned the office and all was agreed.I was absolutely gobsmacked when I got back the penthouse to find not only had City Crash Pad brought the stuff I had asked for but had actually given my partner (and more so, me) a big surprise...there was a Happy Birthday banner up, some chocolates, a cake and even some candles!!! (have to add, at no charge to me)I had no issues whatsoever - top marks for all the complimentary stuff, cleanliness, decor and just the overall package! As far as I'm concerned, I'd be surprised if any hotel would do what City Crash Pad did for me and made my partner's birthday that little bit extra special and one we won't forget for a long

Not too expensive, but certainly not ‘cheap’, Sheffield City Crash Pads claim to offer a real alternative to Hotel accommodation. Looking quite smart online, though of course I, more than most, should be immune to ‘brochure’ pictures.I had booked a one bedroom apartment. The confirmation email came with maps, a list of FAQ’s and two telephone numbers to ring prior to check in so that you could actually gain access to your apartment.I had actually given them the wrong check in time so was a little alarmed to find that the main number was not answered and the secondary number was ‘not available’. Eventually I got through on the primary number only to be told that it had not been answered as the person was ‘off today’, he was helpful though and arranged for me to be met outside the building/apartment I had been assigned. The ‘check-in’ was cursory at best, pretty much, this is the key/building/flat. Dont go in these two rooms, any questions ring the number in the folder. This allocation on the day is another reason for the phone call prior to check-in. If you didn’t do it, you would have no idea where to go as the company seems to have apartments in three or four buildings around a section of the city centre.Although I was booked in a one bedroom I had been allocated a two bedroom apartment in a recently built block just behind the cathedral. The fact that the second bedroom and main bathroom had had a printed piece of paper sellotaped from the door to the frames informing me that if i even so much as entered the room I would be charged the difference, hit me as being a bit tacky. The bathroom being off limits was not a problem as the master bedroom, mine, had an ensuite shower and toilet which was nice enough. Modern if a little basic. The bedroom was large, the bed was tiny and the two pillows together no thicker than cushioned tissue paper. The bedroom and living/dining room/kitchen were on a similar theme, modern but basic and quite sparse. I have stayed in many ‘se

The bed was VERY uncomfortable. There was no soap in the bathroom. The bath mat was a sheet of paper which was no where near sufficient enough. The extractor fan did not work in the bathroom.

Lovely modern apartment, great location but terrible cheap mattresses so you could feel every spring, poor bedding generally and no way of blocking out the strong street lights pouring into the bedroom windows as there are only office style slatted blinds so we had no sleep! Such a shame when the apartment itself is so well put together to have shoddy beds and bedding.

Very clean. Some furnishings could do with being checked - the lock on our door didn't work and some bed fttings were loose. Apart from that, it was very good. The views were wonderful and the service very good.

Lovely appartment. Close to all shops and the main street. On checking in we got a realy nice guy that explained all the good parts of the town and some good restaurants. There is also a welcome pack that gave you more information. Would have no problem staying again. Would be nice to have a place to store a bag for a couple of hours.

A good studio apartment - everything you need and well maintained. In the centre of town and very convenient as on the tram route.

Excellent location, but on very busy street. Nice room, but got hot during the day, even in May so had to have the patio window open and therefore was very noisy (false balcony). A tesco not far away. and all shops within walking distance. Access via lift system so could be negotiated in a wheel chair.

The checking in process is utterly disorganised and could leave you as it did in our case, completely stranded in the City Centre killing time waiting for someone to turn up with a key. In order to find out whats going on you then have to ring and chase every five minutes and its hardly relaxing or what you'd expect if you went into a hotel. Its a real shame as the apartment was fine.

Apartment is modern, clean, spacious and in the heart of Sheffield. Very comfortable and enjoyable stay...eventually when we finally got hold of the owner. Difficult to reach owner to meet up to collect key which wasted a few hours of our time with friends in Sheffield. His excuse was his mobile battery had run out which frankly isn't good enough (plug it in!!!) and that he hadn't explained his whereabouts to the girl at the phone number that was on his message left us thinking we had been scammed. But it worked out in the end and he was a very nice man. Hopefully he sorts out his admin problems as the rest was excellent. Perfect for a concert at the Arena and a night out on the town.

Was allocated Broughton House - right by the City Hall tram stop. Studio apartment was well equipped and perfectly located. Most impressed and will definitely return. Ideal for shopping and touring Sheffield, right in the heart of the city, and furniture / decor very new, comfy and straight from Ikea!! Only gripe was that there were blinds, not curtains, which made the room very light. Everything else in perfect order - will be trying the one bed apartments next time!

I booked these apartments for my husband and myself, plus four friends. My husband and I had a penthouse 1 bedroom apart and our four friends shared a 2 bedroom apartment. We all found the aparts to be of excellent standard, they were spotless and tastefully decorated throughout. The location is ideal for the shops and for the city's nightlife. We found the apartments no problem. We arrived in Sheffield by train, then took a tram to City Hall (which is only 4 stops) the apartments are directly opposite. I would have no hesitation in staying here again!
