this hotel is conveniently located right on the Pine River channel from Lake Charlevoix to Lake Michigan. We were able to see boats in Lake Charlevoix from the breakfast room every morning! The sunsets were magnificent, with sailboats and lighthouse silhouettes in every photo. We highly recommend this hotel to all water lovers!

Conveniently located and very friendly staff. Pull out couch very uncomfortable, small space. Older hotel,yet very hospitable staff!

The hotel exterior is interestingly quirky, the staff were pleasant and helpful, but once inside the room you'll find nothing especially remarkable.

I recently stayed at this hotel this spring while on business. They just remodeled their lakeside room which is great for holding a meeting or function. The rooms were also remodeled and I highly recommend this hotel. The staff was very friendly and you can't find a better location in Charlevoix - walk around corner and you are on the strip of shops/restaurants/docks and walk the other directions to the pier and beach!! It was beautiful. Whirlpool was in a different location than the pool. It was a wonderful experience. The location was excellent and the scenery was beautiful!

Room was spacious and clean. We were on 2nd floor and no elevator-outdoor entry. This hotel is right on the channel that leads to Lake Michigan. When eating at the Weathervane Restaurant you can get a great view of the boats coming and going and also the draw bridge. The hotel room was spacious, clean and our room had a mini refrigerator, sink and microwave. It's located right in Downtown Charlevoix so you can walk anywhere in town. We would stay again at this hotel.

The exterior architecture was very unique. Lots of field stone used. Looked like a castle. The fireplaces were very neat! Some of the common areas were not as clean as expected. The continental breakfast could have used more offerings. This is a pleasant, attractive hotel that is comfortable. Our room was very large. It doesn't offer many extras, but is a fine place to stay. The architecture is very unique and beautiful as were the garden terraces and fireplaces.
