Followed directions for hotel and for a change didt get lost, handy carpark and found we didn't need car for our stay as hotel is handy for the city centre, quayside and eating out. We both had cooked breakfast which was piping hot. Room although possibly smaller than expected was well equipped and nicely done out. Would think about staying here again if up Newcastle way.

The hotel is very central, within walking distance of everything. For those with a car, the carpark is directly opposite the hotel. The entrance to the hotel is a bit dark and you must go up one flight of stairs or take the lift to reach reception. The entrance, stairs and corridors are a bit dull and could do with brightening up as it gives the impresion of being a bit shabby. At first glance of my double bedroom i felt it was quite small, but at the same time lacked nothing. My room was to the back of the building which infact was good as it was away from the traffic noise at the front. I found the staff extremely friendly, helpful and obliging.

For the price that I paid I was pleased. Location is excellent for those wishing to go out in the town. I would definately recommend it to anyone that is going for a weekend on the beers as somewhere convenient to stay. Friendly staff and decent facilities.

The hotel was a bit hard to find. Parking was nearby but not attached. They allowed me to leave the car in their carpark past the checkout time, a nice plus. Breakfast was cooked to order and decent. A continental breakfast was also available. No lift to 3rd & 4th floors. Registration desk is 1 floor above street level, a bit strange. Overall a funky hotel in a convenient location.

Hotel is very centrally placed on the quayside some 3-5 minutes from the BR Newcaslte Central station. It is located near to one of the bridges over the Tyne and just round the corner on the opposite side to the Sage. Plenty of good restaurants within easy reach. A key feature was the friendliness of all the sta..

People on the reception were very friendly and helpful, especially when we needed to get in contact with them when we couldn't find the hotel. The room was clean and tidy, though you could still hear the bar downstairs even if we were on the other side of the building from it. I suppose that is what you expect when you stay inner city though. Breakfast was ok, though the price we paid you would have expected to have the choice of having both continental and cooked not one or the other. The breakfast staff were very unfriendly though, spent most of their time on their mobile phones! We not very polite either.

This was a great hotel in a great location. Only problem was the noise from the bar down below. It was extremely loud until 1am which is okay if you are there to party but horrible if you need to sleep.

My wife and I had a most enjoyable stay. The hotel is superbly located for all bars and restaurants in the Quayside area.If you are planning a stay here it is well worth checking out the bus timetables as there is a bus stop on the left hand corner as you leave the hotel. It cost peanuts to get to Central Sration on the day we checked out. The breakfast room is lovely and the staff could not have been more helpful to make sure we had exactly what we wanted at breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. It was a Thurs night that we stayed, so was pretty quiet, but I imagine it could get noisy on weekends. But if you're there for a night out in Newcastle, it's not exactly going to sound rural, is it!

Good location close to the river - but it is easy to miss if you don't know where to look. My single room was not large - but absolutely fine for a short business trip. Last time in Newcastle I stayed right next to the station. The Waterside is far better - better glazing, less late night noise and far better quality room. Breakfast was pretty good too.

Being very close to the town centre was the best advantage of the hotel, but it was a bit run down, the room was a bit small and tv had very poor reception.

Overall, great! Anyone who doesn't like a bit of noise on Saturday night, look elsewhere. Fantastic location but of course, this lends itself to fantastic amount of people milling about.Me and my wife stayed Thu-Sun for a break and a drink, ok, ok, quite a few dinks! stopped at novotels, thistles, etc. but for a great brekkie and location, no competition from others.

Second time I've stayed, just as good. Great location, and very quiet given its location above Jimmyz Bar. Comfortable bed, friendly, helpful staff. I'd stay again.

The hotel was well locaed on the queside for access, it was clean and food was nice. However there is a nightclub below which the hotel owns. We were on the second floor and items on the dressing table in our room where actuallt vibrating from the volume of the music. I cant believe I actually paid to stay there. So unless your young and going out partying around Newcastle then I would strongly reccomend you find alternative accomodation.

Hotel is very nice. The staff were very polite, helpful and friendly. There is free parking and this hotel is in an excellent location on the quayside, overlooking the swing bridge, so ideal for a night out. We would definitely stay here again. The rooms were clean but the decor was a little dated, which is why I've given it a 5 for quality rather than a 6. Otherwise excellent all-round.

There is very little wrong with this hotel apart from its location. There is a passageway/stairs at the side of the hotel which are used by people all night which makes this very noisey. people shouting till about 4am & this was on a Tuesday night!!I styaed here about a year ago, thought i would give it another go as it was also noisey then. I was hoping it might have been a one off!

Hotel easy to find. Parking free: a bonus. Staff friendly. Rooms pleasant and fairly large. Air conditioner could have been more efficient. On the whole a good place for a quick break.
