Our room was small but nicely decorated. We happened to be there the night of a school party and it was noisy until the wee hours. Staff were noisy after the conclusion of the party. Request a room away from the common areas. The dining area and view of the river are superb. It is handy to area attractions and reasonably priced compared to hotels in the area. We had to leave before breakfast but the staff let us have access to the food that was already on the buffet and fixed us sandwiches for the road. If we had been further from the party area it would have been a pleasant stay.

Overnight stay in InvernessLovely hotel, well placed to walk into town. Ample breakfast, no comment on dinner ( we ate in the town). Will certainly use this hotel again.

It was a very short walk from the city centre and had a very pretty location by the river. The breakfast was very good.

The Princess towerWe arrived at the Hotel and were told that our accomodation was next door.We entered what appeared to be a private house our room being on the top floor. We overlooked the river from a dormer window set into the roof my wife said it was the princesses tower. Our room was delightful and clean, Breakfast was great we will return.

We stayed at the Waterside for one night before touring the Highlands. The room was clean, spacious and had everything that we needed. The hotel was in a good position for a walk along the river and also convenient for the town centre. We would stay there again

Breakfast serviceWe had a wonderful time at the Waterside, the cleaning ladies were not finished when we arrived but they were really sweet and helpfull. Evening dinner was nice - the barlady was a bit stressed with serving drinks and that had an influende on her frienlyness. But we had a disappointing experience at breakfast. we came down late, at around 9, the buffet was almost empty, not filled up, tables filled with plates from other custmers. we found a free table but the 2 young waiters who saw us continued their conversation, they even went to the kitchen to chat. We finally went to the reception to prder some toast and coffe...the friendly lady found the 2 waiters in the kitchen and the both came to ask if we want tea or coffe. We ordered, both left, when they came back, we received coffe, but it was no possible for them to leave the coffe on the table...we asked for it since we drink quite a lot of coffe, but that was not possible, we should call them if we needed more. after many minutes they asked if we wanted toast and again after a while we could order cooked breakfast...my husband being fed up at that time, since many tables were not emptied, there was still no juice, the talked but could not clean up or service the guests...and finally a lady came (she must have been in charge) and did it all herselv, served the other guests who were just as annoyed about the slow service, cleaned up and did all the work herself. It is unerstandable that new waiters have to be trained, but the "experienced" one did not seem to care too much, had no overview, was slow and unfriendly.....so they really need some extra training. Everything else was really fine:-)

I stayed in an upgraded double very big rooms with a lovely view of the river a bit noisy though as speaker for outside was right outside m room and I could feel the bass through the walls and this stayed on till 11pm so not a great room if you have an early start.

Absolutely fineStayed here twice now while passing through Inverness and no hesitation in recommending it. Right by the river, close to the centre (and to the excellent Castle pub), very comfortable rooms and a good breakfast.

Dinner, Bed & Breakfast at the WatersideThe waterside is a very pleasant hotel in a lovely setting by the riverside. The staff were friendly and polite at all times. Dinner was excelent with a varied menu, service was promptbut never rushed and a pleasant evening was had watching the river go by. the room was clean and spacious and the ample breakfast was freshly cooked and all made for a very pleasant weekend in a clean and friendly city

room was too small to take the twin beds pushed together. Would have been better with a double bed. The hotel was clean and comfortable, in a nice location. Breakfast was good, evening meal was overpriced and not so good.

Accommodation clean (quite small though) with a good sized toilet with shower. Huge bed and very comfortable. Room decor could have been more welcoming with some finishing touches such as pictures to brighten the decor. View from the window was straight onto a brick wall 3 feet away but if you leaned out you could just see the River Ness! We only had breakfast and the quality and service was very mixed from day to day. Staff seemed to lack direction, long wait for cooked food (new chef apparently) and the wrong meals coming out . This didn't detract from our stay though and we had a great time in Inverness as always!

Room was quite small (the large bed was great) but good value for money. Breakfast was disappointing and not up to the usual standard. The coffee was cold by the time breakfast was served.

Carpet in hall way had been lifted and this didn't give a very good first impression. Rooms were basic but clean.

We were upgraded to a better room than we booked. The room heating was off during the night and we had no extra blankets to put on the bed. On leaving the hotel in the evening we left our room key at an unattended reception and when we got back a few hours later our room key was still in the same place where we left it so security wasn't great. But the staff that we did meet were very friendly and helpful and our breakfast was very substantial and kept us going for the rest of the day. Would use this hotel again

A very warm and friendly Christmassy / New Year time sitting by the log fire with a glass of vino with friends and family. Nice. Will do so again. We have used this hotel at the Easter time too and it was the same. Recommended

The staff were friendly and efficient, it was good value for money and the food was lovely. The perfect stop-over on the way north.
